The hotel has excellent parking and a very nice riverside restaurant. We were staying to be close to Hampton Court Flower Show. We would use the Hotel again.

Stated overnight. No change at reception....not able to cash ten pounds. The bin in bedroom had not been cleaned and there were hairs in the bath.I act as consultant with hotels and guesthouses and would be very unhappy had I consulted your Group.I hope these remarks are interpreted in positive fashion.I am quite happy to return at no cost and make a few recommendations that will enhance visitor enjoyment and experience and your balance sheet.

The first room we were allocated had a king sized bed. The problem with the toilet fitting was investigated promptly by the staff but could not be rectified. We were offered meal vouchers for the restaurant but declined this and requested a different room. This was possible as the Hotel was not full and we were moved straight away. After being allocated the first room, we noticed the toilet seat was totally detached from the base and could not understand why the management had not been informed by the cleaning staff of this problem. The second room allocated was much bigger, but only had a double bed so there was a lot of wasted space.

Business rooms ok, standard rooms filthy Rooms to the main streets need better windows, the noise from the street starts at 6 in the morning and ends the night.

Room was excellent, staff very friendly, food brilliant. Bathroom floor tiles cracked and a lot was loose and grout cracked and missing. I think this let the quality of a good room down.

The attitude of the staff (mainly male whether cooking, serving or cleaning, which is slightly unusual): energetic, enthusiastic, can do (cooked breakfast 40 minutes before the restaurant even opened on Saturday morning. I had not checked). The receptionists (not male) were adorable. The place has a great atmosphere and a really pleasant riverside location. It seemed to attract many locals in the evening for the food, which is indeed rather good. The only grubby patch on the bedroom carpet was caused by me (see below). The bedroom was warm, quiet and comfortable. It is really quite a long walk from the railway station. Fine if you are fit but I picked up a fair amount of mud with my rolling suitcase. But if you think ahead, call reception in advance and they will suggest a taxi firm. It is worth it, as is paying the extra for a river view. The walk into the town centre is not so long, and to be enjoyed on a sunny day. Nothing to criticise, everything worked though I think the hotel deserves rather classier bathroom fittings. Oh and the automatic door closer slams rather loudly.

Good value for the money. Lovely position overlooking the River Thames Sound insulation from room above. To be fair they seemed to be wrestling with a gorilla

Nice hotel, good location - we stayed because we wanted to be near Heathrow airport but not in the city, so the location was very convenient. The staff were very polite and helpful. The bed was really comfortable. Our room was very cold when we walked in and we realised one of the windows was not closing properly. Once we turned the heating on, the room warmed up very quickly so it was not a big problem. There was a funny smell on the first floor corridor - could have been the new carpet or the laundry room.

Beautiful setting next to The Thames, very quiet and good food and service. A pleasure to stay for business for a quiet night. The duvet on the bed was very small and the pillow hard.

The location for our needs was perfect. The little things let it down: 1. having to call reception twice in 2 days for coffee in the room 2. one small shower gel sachet between 2 of us 3. perfectly good bar of soap removed on the first day and no replacement 4. bar meals not that good - particularly the seafood pasta ( my wife would have sent back had we not been with friends for the evening ) 5. breakfast service very slow - had to wait 20 minutes for poached egg on toast - we were the only people in the dining room ! - 3 out of the 4 eggs between us were hard - only one properly poached 6. ridiculous discussion the night before with bar staff - the barman tried to squeeze a large spritzer into a standard wine glass and had no other glasses to use - he would not pour it into a half pint glass ( normal for this drink ) and top up with soda - I had to order a small wine which he poured into a half pint glass and topped up with soda - the large wine in the standard wine glass was discarded - how stupid is that ?

I liked everything about the Hotel apart one thing that me and my partner were having evening tea between 1900 hrs to 1930. This girl bartender was serving an order holding a glass of I think coke and took a sip tasted and send for serve. That was bad impression I think. I was going go and tell her but my partner didn't let me get involve. Thank you

“It was central and close to shops and restaurants. Close to Thorpe Park and London. Extremely well equipped and clean accommodation. Spacious and easily accommodated 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Would definitely stay longer if we were on an extended trip to visit London or surrounding attractions. Would highly recommend this accommodation.” Melanie, Burnham-on-sea |
