The Bridge Hotel  

Very comfortable, good location and the staff very helpful. Nice atmosphere. Parking very convenient.

dinner. Plenty of food, but not really good quality, tasteless and hard chops, fish cake pure potato it seemed. A little refinement is needed by the chef - e.g. no horrible garnish (raw onions and peppers are hard to digest and are not needed whatever catering colleges say!), one chop with a delicious sauce, french fries, would be good enough. Two fish cakes, more fish in them. People are looking for good cuisine, not just masses of it, nowadays.

I like the car parking as the car was visible and no charge, we had a few meals in the hotel and all were well cooked and good size portions.

The room could have been serviced quicker with an extra member of staff.

the hotel was every thing that we wanted. loaction looking over the river was fantastic waking up to swans and ducks. quiet and frendley

the service for the breackfast in the morning was poor we had to wait 45 mins for a cooked breckfast, when it came it was warm only and not much on it. staff was very slow and tables were not cleared. when booking out we were treated like cattle. would stay again but would not have a breakfast there.

This was our second stay at the hotel, this time for a family Wedding Reception in the Boat Restaurant. The food was excellent, as was the friendliness and how helpful the staff were with regard to assistance at the meal for a disabled family member.

I liked d location a lot. It was riht near a bus stop. Theee was a pond with swans on it as well. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I didnt like the fact that a dree breakfast was not included aftr paying over £1000.. Also i had to repeatedly ask that the floor be vacuumed particularly when it was one lady on cleaning dury. These things should have nen supervised.

Room advertised as 3 adults provided standard double bedded room with sofa bed. Not suitable for 3 adults. Charged for 3rd person with no corresponding facilities (e.g towels). In room safe locked prior to arrival and minimal response from staff. In house dining at Boathouse restuarant was abmismal with more than 1 hr wait for first course to arrive. Mediocre standard of food.

we thought the food served in the evening and the breakfasts were excellent

the bed was uncomfortable and hard and the rooms could do with a bit of brightening up

Location next to the river and great view

We stayed at the hotel for a family reunion, some were there just for lunch, some arrived for evening meal and the remainder of us for lunch, evening meal and overnight stay. We had a table (for 18) booked for 7.30pm, we had written down our order for the staff and placed it by approx. 7:45Pm. We then waited until 9:40pm for the food to start arriving. The evening was a shambles and the food really not worth waiting for. We had to ask for side plates and additional cutlery. I think it got to a situation where the waiting staff were so embarrassed they avoided coming near the table and we sympathised with them. We eventually asked for the manager who did knock 40% off our bill, but he was happy to fade into the background and still let his staff handle the situation. He even ate his evening meal within our vision whilst we were still waiting for ours. We stayed overnight only to have a domestic in the room next to us at 1:30am. Reception came up and gave warning twice after which the police were called. Despite us having called reception to inform them of the situation, nobody followed this up with us. I appreciated management cannot be held responsible for the actions of residents, but surely it would be good practice to follow up prior to departure. Another situation that was ignored by management. This has been a central point for my family meeting up for quite a few years now, but we will definitely be changing our venue next time.

The staff were friendly, the room was well decorated and furnished but most of all the view was gorgeous on a sunny Sunday morning :-). We stayed in room 106.

I found the hotel to be very friendly especially the reception desk. the Riverside room had a lovely view and very modern in decor, and beautiful and warm. the restuarant looked very friendly and busy. Would definately use the Bridge Hotel again.

I found the rooms comfortable but also slightly dirty in fact my son was also staying at the hotel and the tiles in his bathroom wer lifting as water was seeping throught the floor. This I feel should have been noticed by the hotel staff.
