It was right beside the Thames footpath. The menu and the wine list was good The waiting staff at dinner were very poorly trained. An excellently cooked meal and a very good bottle of wine were served atrociously. There were 5 basic errors in the wine service and 3 in the food service. The hair drier was missing from the room and so was one of the light bulbs.

Food was lovely but well over priced and member of staff who served us couldn't answer any questions as she didn't know the answers. River views were lovely. Double room - 2 single beds pushed together so I had a bad back in the morning due to dip in the middle. Also cut my toe on metal post connecting beds. Main course bought out when we were still eating starters. Remote control missing from room.

Price, good views of the river, room comfortable but needs some renovation. Restaurant had a musician playing, sound too high, there are 2 rooms in restaurant, one empty one full, guess which the musician was in, yes the empty one ! Food not very high quality, walk over the bridge and you will get much better food for the same price.

We liked the food which was excellent and the service of the waitress. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The general manager was very helpfull and proffesional. Some of the staff were unhelpfull and unknowledgeable, when we arrived there were hairs in the bath and bed the receptionist didnt really know what to say or do which came across unproffesional. No hot chocolate in the room either :(

The lovely location, polite, helpful staff and spotlessly clean accomodation all contributed to making this a pleasurable stay. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food we had served to our room on a very busy Saturday evening. The beds were supremely comfortable - so much so, we struggled to get out of it on Sunday morning and were slightly late checking out, although this did not cause a problem. We have stayed in 4star accomodation which did not measure up to this hotel. A net curtain at the bedroom window would have helped prevent the nosey people walking along the path outside our room from peering in. I noticed the other ground floor rooms had them. Tables and benches from the bar area stretched along outside the bedrooms so noise could be a problem on a warm summer evening. Some other guests with children occupying the room over ours were rather noisy but that was more the fault of the parents than the hotel. They also turned round the 'Do not disturb' notice on our door asking for our room to be serviced, which meant the maid walked into our room whilst we were ready. Once again, not the fault of staff.

Food was good, bar staff nice and clean The poor communication between staff and Misleading us. Basically booked family room well in advance!, asked for cot at time and was told it was ok, even called the morning of our stay to double check the room had travel cot, as if not we could bring our own, but needed to know as we lived 3hrs 30mins away, advised they had one and not to worry. Arrived and no cot in room asked reception told one would be there shortly, asked 2hours later told two have broken and two were already out? (Although when we called in the morning none were hired??!!), so wht happened to ours??!. Still no cot arrived, we then Asked a following two times and got different excuses again. By this time we were frustrated and told the receptionist how disappointed we were and all we got was a shrug and "oh sorry" no help no real apology or how they were going to help. Majorly frustrating thing about it all is we would have happily brought our own but were reassured so much when booking and when I called on the morning of our trip we didn't need too, we left ours at home and then contined to be taken for fools and lied to on 5 separate occasions at the hotel. Better communication and honesty is a must for the front of house staff here!!. The reality of it is our 6 month old son had to sleep on the floor of a hotel room, we did go and ask for extra pillows so we could surround and try and protect him from rolling into things. A lady then decided to bring up a thin mattress instead, ignoring our actual request and said it was to fold up instead to protect him on the floor and no pillows were provided?! by this time we were VERY fed up, so we smiled and agreed and we used the pillows from our bed to protect our son as we originally requested and used the extra mattress she provided for our heads on the bed. All in all very very uncomfortable and worrying nights sleep as constantly checking on our baby not completely safe for our baby either and wouldn't stay again.

The hotel was really nice, our room was amazing and the balcony over looking the lake was fantastic. It was close to Windsor Castle and Thorpe Park which was the reason for our visit. Just wished we had stayed longer.

Location only. Untidy room, shoes left from last occupant, floor not cleaned, a lumpy part filled duvet, sheet did not fit the bed, dirty toilet pan and uninterested staff.

View is stunning-Dining room over looked River , it was clean and functional and their day time staff keen to help. its a bit noisy due to proximity to a main through route -bit of sound proofing would help. Lacked good sign posting to find location of car par (it isnt that clear the car par is part of The Bridge.)

Position, easy access onwards by car, our room and view of river. Mostly due to Easter holiday some of the younger staff rather dozy, room sketchily cleaned, lacked supplies, and most important, internet 'down' during our whole visit.
