The room was tiny, right on the main road. Traffic noise was constant and horrendous. The taps and the shower were rusted to hell and back. Half the tv channels didn't work. The hotel declined my card for no reason so had to walk through a god-awful, dark country lane into hemel to do anything and the woman behind the counter was less then helpful, when my card was declined, I was made to feel like a criminal. If I could get my money back for a spoilt vacation I would!

I was in one of those family rooms with a door between you and next door. Had a couple next door drunk and very excited, made the most horrific noises to 3 am on a school night. I may as well have been in the room with them. Asked for a room change, they couldn'T. Asked them to have a word, they didn't . Complained next day and was told the manager would be in touch . They didn't call. Would not go back.

Pleasant staff. Good breakfast(at extra cost). Hotel is really run down. Toilet seat hanging off; paper hanging from ceiling; mould in shower. Poor facilities. Too expensive.

Nothing Really!! I had to trail throught the restaurant with bags up a flight of stairs. There were no signs telling me where room 1 was...only rooms 47 & 48. I tried the other corridor to find room 46 was first? The light was out in the corridor so I had to go back down stairs and ask a member of staff where my room 1 was. He did take me to it...it was next door to room 46?. I booked a double room, but was given a twin...if I had wanted to sleep in a single bed, I would have booked a single room! All the windows were open in the room (this was 8.30pm!) and the room was cold. When I closed the bathroom window, the wood was so rotten , that the handle came off in my hand.....room service was fine...so that was a saving grace. Overall, I would not stay at the hotel again and I would not reccomend it to my other colleagues visiting our offices for a few days business. Disappointing really.

The hotel is very run down, shabby, it's using "green" & "eco" as excuses for miserly cost cutting. The shower didn't work, there is no in-room fridge. Decor & amenities very shabby and run down. Bed comfortable. Had a 4 day stay and carpet wasn't vacuumed once. Heating was broken - full on or full off - had to get spanner to turn heating off as handles were broken on radiator. Overall -- a rip off

The staff are fantastic -they couldn't be more helpful. The food is delicious, fresh and nicely served. The hotel is set in lovely grounds As an observation the hotel rooms needs to be refurbished and upgraded. As it stands it is ok but bits and pieces fall off, lights don't work, decor is shabby. We still love going there but feel the lack of attention to this actually lets the staff down

The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. Despite the price for breakfast being shown on your website as £10 per person, it is in fact £12-50 or £15 Pound depending on whether you book in advance or at the hotel. For breakfast in your room, there is a charge of £3 for the " tray " used to deliver your breakfast. ????????? If you use the hotel telephone, which we did, make sure you have lots of money in your account as the costs are extortionate. The wifi connection has to be paid for, with time purchased in blocks of time after having to log on to a British Telecom network. Every other hotel we have stayed in or cafe restaurant visited the wifi connection is free. They seem to be using every method to wring more money out of their guests, once they have arrived at the hotel. A shame really because the food is superb, the grounds very pretty and the staff courteous.

Friendly, pleasant staff. Easy parking. Comfortable room. During the 2 nights we stayed, there was no hot water at all! The staff suggested we ran the hot tap in the bath to "draw" the hot water but unfortunately this did not work and although the staff were sympathetic to our plight, it is through no fault of theirs that the plumbing is not up to standard and we were happy to accept a lower rate for our stay.

They spoil a good hotel by charging £2 for using a credit card. A rather "cheap" approach.

It seems small and intimate. I like the rooms within rooms feel of the restaurant and that you have a conference / wedding facility well away from the general restaurant so neither guest is inconvenienced with noise. Most of the reception staff are brilliant with a welcoming smile and badinage. They make sure that your wants are met if at all possible. Setting of the hotel is lovely and the gardens well maintained. It lovely at any season. Though the furniture could do with an oil, they are looking a bit tatty. The food is very good we always have a beautifully cooked tasty meal on hot plates, and the menu is always varied. My sleep has never been disturbed by fellow guests, sound insulation must be good. The bathrooms are needing much refurbishment, especially room 30 for the more elderly or handicapped guests part of the cornicing has fallen down (water - someone elses shower? Hopefully not their toilet water! ? gurgles up now and again - up the shower drain. The shower does not drain well!!!). The showers are a pain to get warm, not quite knowing how to do this does not help. The rooms themselves are good.

I liked the Hotel and the staff were generally helpful. Breakfast was ample and the room was warm and clean. One of the difficulties I find throughout the hotel environment is the lack of knowledge concerning how to get to local places. I wanted to get to Latimer from Bovington but the young lady was unable to help me except to go onto the Internet, which due to breakfast taking a long time to arrive, I didn't have the time to browse. I headed the car in the right direction, and went. Thankfully, I have a good memory from when I did look up the area a month or so ago. Even so, it would have been helpful to have that reinforced. There was no bath mat for a shower. The room was on the main road, but I was so tired I soon drowned out the drone of passing cars. Other than that, I was very pleased with my stay and would stay again.

Rooms were cleaned everyday and very spacious room. Staff were friendly and helpful. I found the hotel very expensive with its extras. Eg drinking at the bar 2 sprirts 1 mixer cost us£13 nearly. Also breakfast was £15 per person which is very steep considering we got breakfast for £6 each down the road the price put us of eatting in the hotel altogether.

The staff are very courteous and the service is very good. The food is excellent. Perhaps double glazing in the garden rooms would be a good idea as our sleep was disturbed one night due to a rather noisy wedding party spilling out into the garden 'til the very early hours.
