excellent food at reasonable prices. bed very comfortable. very relaxing and very friendly. great welcome on arrival with a wonderful open fire in bar area. breakfast was exceptionally good and we would highly reccommend this hotel. in the room there was only a shower available which was not good at holding temperture and quite a slow flow although supreme rooms do have baths in them if this is important |

We had a large, well furnished room[Jane Austen] which was very comfortable.[though we would have liked to have been able to open a window] Good bar menu--Friendly and helpful staff/owners------- Good location for visiting Slimbridge, Enjoyable stay. Did'nt like not being able to open bedroom window. Some people may not like being on the A46[no problem to us] |

Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice room and good service in the breakfast room and dining room. Traffic noise. Food in the restaurant was nice enough but not good enough to warrent the prices especially for the starters and nearly £5 for a bowl of ice-cream ! |

Set in attractive grounds. Pleasant atmosphere. Good menu - food of a good standard. Rooms confortable rather than luxurious. Good standard of cleanliness. B & B @ £60 is probably top price for that location for business use - with business in Bristol or Bath. Breakfast could be more flexible as to time. Mrs Shelley needs to buy a towel rail! |

The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Gardens were a delight, With a big open fireplace it would be a wonderfu Autumn/Winter retreat.l Disbled access could be a problem. |

The room was nice and light. Also was very clean. Bar/food had quite a lot of choice and a pleasant environment. The room was freezing and the shower trickled out freezing cold water |

Friendliness of the proprietors, it was set in lovely grouinds, fantastic views and the room we were in was great because we are both slightly disabled. One of the waitresses was very sullen. Leak in bathroom radiator |

Very pleasant stay, staff friendly. Breakfast was the best one I've had in ages... and I stay in hotels more than is good for me. Woke up with back-ache as the mattress was just a tad too soft. And forget using taxis... no chance!!!! |

Comfortable spacious rooms, and ideally located for the cotswolds. Friendly staff and the full English breakfast was fantastic. Shower in our room (Jane Austen) sometimes took an age to heat up, and on one occassion did not heat up at all. |

At the back of the hotel there are fields that are beautiful, also the surrounding country side is brilliant to walk about in. The staff were rude and up there own a**. The hotel is next to a very busy road that goes to the motor way. From the hotel you can hear the road very clearly. They also do not have room service. |

Bodkin House Hotel is very good value for money and the breakfasts were very tasty. I found the bed covers to be too small and the staff did not appear to be working well together. We were told conflicting information and we were not made to feel welcome. |

The owners (a husband and wife team) are the most excellent hosts. They truly go out of their way to make one feel welcome. |

Excellent meal from bar menu, friendly service. Even though room was on road side of hotel itwas still quiet, and a beautiful part of the country. I look forward to the chance to visit again. |
