Excellent wi fi . Superb gym and swimming pools.Comfortable, clean set in beautiful grounds.

Food was not as good as I would have expected from a hotel of this calibre.very little healthy eating options on the menu. Staff also let hotel down by being rather arrogant.

location was ok for what we needed

the bed was very unconfortable and small and the shower was really poor ( no pressure at all and had to wait for ages to get hot water)

My room

Breakfast. Good choice but quality of bacon was very poor (tough and over-cooked) and I think the mushrooms must have come out of a tin...no taste at all.

The food was poor. Our tv had very poor reception. There was no welcome pack so we struggled to find the coffee and tea in the room. The lock on our original room did not work and noone bothered to check that the alternative room we were given was ready for guests - which it was not. This was a second rate hotel masquerading as something much better and charging as if it was better than it was.

Very little to like

Very tired looking. Needs new carpets paint etc. Room very basic and again needs total makeover. Tv tiny. Tea and coffee on bottom self of dressing table- not even in a tray- all loose

Staffs were amazing, they were brilliant especially the young lady at the reception. I will definitely stay there again. Bar area was very nice and the gentleman who served us was very friendly.

Room, Breakfast, Spa, Staff. Bury is a surprisingly interesting place - market / art gallery.

Location of the Hotel and the Meals

The reception desk had no record of the booking. When further enquiries were made they did have a booking but for Saturday / Sunday night this should have been Friday / Saturday night. Fortunately the Hotel was not fully booked. Just the reception that we needed having travelled up from the south coast to see my seriously ill mother in hospital. We would have reservations about booking this hotel again. By the way the Hotel did say it was their fault all our paperwork was in order but what would the hotel have done if fully booked!

Julian Millett Fabulous stay this week. WYSIWYG at this place. Staff couldn't do enough from dawn till dusk. Very late check in due to my late flight arrival. Meal supplied was hugest portion ever and the most inexpensive ever! The night porter couldn't do enough. Felt like royalty. Health and leisure club where instructors are usually too busy, attentiveness care in checking health and fitness first. Amazing. "How far did you manage to run today?" at end of treadmill. Morning reception outstanding. Late check out no problem. Taxi ordered arrived on time. Mustn't forget the bedroom. 4 poster bed and calming spray to put on pillow before turning in. Bathroom soaps etc finest and all room facilities as and where you would expect. Amazingly fantastic value for money. I travel all over using hotels all over the world and Bolholt has my vote for the best value for money hotel because of the all round 100% amazing service from every single person working there. Just try it for yourself and I have no connection with the hotel or anyone working there and its my first (and hopefully not last) stay. Hope you all get a salary raise - you deserve it. the staff are great, I have been staying here over the last 5 years and is always my first choice

Restaurant staff were top notch. The service was very high quality.

Location is a little out of town.

Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Great spa facilities and good opening hours for the spa. Nice room

No complaints except stairs could have been a bit steep for someone less agile
