- Lovely pub - Excellent food - good value for money
The food and real ales were excellent, lovely atmosphere too. The bed was comfy, good size room and strong shower
not enough bar area
Very clean. Nice location. The owners were very polite and friendly.
The food and the price of a meal. Starter was beautiful however the mains weren't it said home cooked but was clearly frozen and very dry. Not good at all.
Everything about the Bolton Arms was excellent. Great room, good beer, friendly owners, staff & locals. Really could find no fault whatsoever. Will definitely be going back - oh and of course, it's setting in the Dales is fabulous too!
Central location in lovely quiet village. Friendly and efficient service. Excellent meals.
Limited wifi was a minor problem. Pity that a dehumidifier was needed.
Friendly staff, very good food, comfortable room.
service location & food
just irish coffee needs work
Lovely, friendly people, Janet and Bill were very welcoming. Good food, large helpings though so do lots of walking first!
De-humidifier in the room was a shame but difficult to avoid, otherwise very happy.
Lovely room, great breakfast
Would have preferred it if cleaning and vacuuming hadn't taken place while we ate breakfast but appreciate that they have to prepare for Sunday lunch.
Nice frindley staff warm welcome food excellent
Food is excellent
The food, choice of beer and staff were excellent, as was the cleanliness of our room. Couldn't fault it at all. The food was very reasonably priced and the portions were excellent. We will definitely be back.
The only small criticism would be there is no area to sit and relax before or after dinner. The bar area is great but small and so there is no room for any comfy chairs or sofas. Only a very small negative on an otherwise excellent stay.
Love the location and accommodation. This is our second stay this year and we have booked again for Nov. Lovely home cooked food
...nothing at all
Atmosphere. Friendly & forward thinking staff.
warm friendly atmosphere, lovely food and cosy high standard room, excellent value for money
On arrival we were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and well equipped. The pub has a warm and friendly ambience and we were made to feel very welcome. Not forgetting the excellent choice of hand pull beers. The food is superb and very well presented in the well appointed dining room. The Bolton Arms is a great place to stay in a beautiful Dales village. Dave and Sue..Mansfield
Nothing not to like
The Bolton Arms offers the ideal setting for a perfect countryside break. Located in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, it is within close proximity to all tourist attractions and is itself located in a picture-perfect village with beautiful surrounding countryside. Great food, great service, great people and comfortable, modern rooms in a very quiet setting make the Bolton Arms the perfect place to stay. We highly recommend the Bolton Arms and will definitely stay here again.
Having to go home!
ACCOMODATION, FOOD AND STAFF
The welcome was amazing, the room spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the food excellent. We will be returning.
Beautiful location, great food and fabulous staff
everything, (except the food) absolutely everything.
the food was not to my taste, the curry on the menu just tasted bland with a smidging of tomato, not curry .
We have just spent a most enjoyable break here. Everyone was really friendly, the room was most comfortable with a nice little balcony and the food was reasonably priced and excellent! Would definitely recommend.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Ideally situated for visiting all the main tourist places in the Dales. Food good although a little expensive for a pub. Superior room lovely with a view over the nearby hills.
The stairs to the superior room.
Food was great at both dinner and breakfast. Staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and rooms were clean.
Parking could be awkward when pub was busy. Although we were warned on booking, the room was a bit cramped. It was also a bit disconcerting when people were talking right outside our room. These were all however relatively minor problems.
