Food was scrumptious, bar lovely and cosy on a cold winter day, staff delightful.
Great location, accommodation and an excellent pub - real ale and quality food, all that we were after. We were travelling with young baby and facilities and staff were great, we had a room in building next door to pub, quiet, (and so was the baby!) comfortable - easy access to lots of places to visit, walks and things to do - we will definitely be staying here again.
Room, pub, food all great. Wouldn't change any of it. Good base to explore from.
Staff were friendly and good fun, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Great location for the Dales and Bolton Castle, (try and go when they have a re-enactment weekend). Accommodation was comfortable, warm and quiet. Parking was a little tight but one of the staff moved her car to let me park on the premises.
Loo seat wouldn't stay up but I got brownie points from my wife for leaving it down! (Perhaps that should be a plus point)
quality, comfort, location, friendly, good food,
wasn't long enough
My wife felt a little under the weather and had a stomach upset .I informed the staff we would not make breakfast at which point they insisted on making toast for me to take to my wife in our room.A small example of how helpful the staff were
The staff and atmosphere
Relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed all aspects of the hotel. Service was to a very standard and would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nothing to dislike
Amazing location. Extremely friendly amd welcoming staff. Nothing too much trouble. Food was very good and great value.
very good food in a e nicely appointed restaurant and good selection of traditional beers at the busy bar.Bill and Janet very friendly and helpful as are the other staff. Look forward to returning in future. Would strongly recommend
Enjoyed our three nights here, ate in the pub every night - good food and friendly staff. Rooms are separate to the pub so no problem with noise. We managed to squeeze in a travel bed for our daughter but the room is more suited to couples (this is not a negative as we knew it in advance)
wifi signal does not reach the bedroom
The food was outstanding, staff excellent, room warm and comfortable.
The location, stunning. Service, fantastic. Room with a view, lovely. Pub and food, outstanding. breakfast , filling. we visited on Halloween, apparently a quiet night for the pub but was completely rammed! you even get a dirty boot tray near the door. We liked that touch. We will be back! big smiles all round.
There was nothing we didn't like
Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and service. Food on the evening was excellent value. Would stay again.
Few problems with the heating. Husband ended up bleeding the radiators in our room. Not a major problem and was rewarded for this with a free beer! Cant ask for more.
Good food, friendly staff & value for money
Everything, couldn't fault anything really - The food is brilliant and the staff are very helpful.
The large numbers of locals who drink and eat here tell the real story - this is a great pub, based on first class unpretentious food, good beer and excellent service. Yes, it can be very busy on a Friday night, but after a day in the fresh air of the Dales you'll sleep through anything.
Staff, meal were good on an extremely busy night
Mattress was a bit tired
Food very good and good value.
No chair in bedroom
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
The location is superb. The staff are extremely friendly. Good food. Great ale.
Access to our room via a fire escape type staircase from outside.
The Bolton Arms has no pretensions and has thankfully avoided the 'gastro-pub' treatment. What you get is first class pub food based on great ingredients, heroic breakfast, excellent beers, cheerful staff and comfortable well decorated rooms. It's an ideal solution for walking, fishing and general Dales tourism.
staff were excellent .room was nice ..very relaxing and layed back
food was a bit pricey?
