It was very freindly with a warm welcome and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The accommodation was bright, clean and comfortable. The meals were enjoyable and the service extremely good. We would definately visit again.

Nothing really except that the rooms were a little small.

Staff was super friendly and really went out of their way to give you a good time. They were genuinely happy to see people enjoying their stay. Clean rooms, excellent value for money and great kitchen. Well above the average pub grub. We booked for 1 night and decided to stay another because we really enjoyed the place and location

We stayed in a superior room which were lovely. Really clean & comfortable. Full English in the morning was very tasty. Close to Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle, we had some great walks.

No mobile signal in the area (O2 so don't know what others are like) but hotel had free wifi which worked in our room so we still had contact with home.

The Bolton Arms was central for all the Dales attractions.

The rooms were lovely and equipped with everything you need.

There was quite a lot of noise from the bar until the early hours.

It was very nice and comfortable and the meal we had was of very high calibre and cooked wonderfully. A real village pub atmosphere and a good place for anyone considering a lot of walking from.

There was nothing we did'nt like except the cold weather.

It was great value for money and would definately stay again. We had dinner in the pub in the evening and it was lovely and the breakfast was very nice.

Great place to stay while in the dales,would recomend to anyone.

Slightly too warm in the room for us but it soon became bearable with the window and skylight open.

the friendliness of the staff the service at breakfast time and the efficiency in serving up a lovely meal. the room was excellent and have no complaints at all giving us privacy and our own door to come and go. Will most certainly recommend and return.

Bed was too small and pillows not good. Inadequate storage facilities in bathroom.

Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast/choice. Landlady has a lovely Yorkshire accent.

Did not like to see the landlord losing his temper with the landlady in front of customers, he looks like he could be nasty- perhaps was stressed, but was ok with us.Pillows were hard. Big dislike was the advertised wifi availability and unable to connect to it whilst in our room.

Very comfortable and warm accommodation, lovely bar and restaurant too. Perfect spot to stay when visiting the Yorkshire dales and the wood burning fire in the bar was lovely.

Janet and Bill were excellent in every way as hosts and enhanced our stay in a lovely pub location. Would definitely stay there again.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very clean, good food and a pleasant atmosphere. We were impressed by the attention to detail. As well as residents, the Bolton Arms was popular with local people, which contributed to the friendly feel.

We loved the room and the view across the fields from the (shared) balcony outside (We booked one of the first-floor level superior rooms for this, our first stay at The Bolton Arms). We loved the very friendly welcome when we arrived (and the Black Sheep Bitter, on tap in the cosy bar); and we also loved the good choice and generous dinner menu (and the equally generous breakfast) both taken in the comfortable restaurant area. We'd planned on a morning drive to try an 8 mile walk from Hawes after breakfast - until a member of staff recommended instead a walk from the Bolton Arms, across the fields, to the wonderful Aysgarth Falls (returning via Bolton Castle) - which we did! Thanks for the advice.
