Holiday Inn Bolton Centre  

Checking out, I was very dissapointed, I have stayed in Holiday Inn hotels previously and they have been ok, however this was terrible.

The staff on reception were unhelpfull and condescending. We ended up with a double room but with two single beds, after requesting specifically a double bed. The bath was dirty, the room was very very small, we could hear some kind of heater system all night as we were at the end of the hotel.

Centre locatioin

The hotel had doubled booked and therefore when we arrived at 8pm we where then relocated to the Britannia hotel and charged our full booking price. Not impressed with the Britannia.

Location.

I rang three weeks prior to confirm a twin non smoking, which was confirmed. On arrival I was allocated a double smoking. After 45 mins and luckily someone else requesting a double my room was changed. Secondly I purchased a breakfast for one at £10 and paid cash. When I checked out they tried to charge me £15 for two breakfasts. Very poor reception staff.

We have stayed at this hotel as a romantic break for our anniversary for the last 2 years now. We go for a swim in the pool and use the sauna, we find this so relaxing. Then we get ready and go into Bolton for a meal and few drinks, then come back to the hotel for a drink before retiring to our room. We always find the rooms so warm & cosy & spotless, the staff are always friendly & helpful. We have also been to this hotel before for my friends wedding reception & a christmas party from work, and have always enjoyed our stay.

Friendly staff. Good parking in basement. Rooms are of a quality you would expect from a holiday inn.

Wifi is expensive.

Steep hill to walk back from shopping centre and not really in centre of town.

Situation. Some friendly staff. Design of breakfast and having it up until 11. Availability of pool

Some staff were unwelcoming eg using 'correct' words, but from distant and surly faces, non-verbally saying "I don't want to be here with a tosser like you" The room was far too hot with the radiator off and the window open. And the noise of the AC machine with the window open was loud. Bed and pillows uncomfortable.

the location was fantastic. It had been recommended to me by a friend. It was everything she said lovely hotel clean and very comfortable. the staff on reception were extremely helpful,and charming. It is close to all the ammenities. we went to the football stadium which also was a first for me and a fantastic experiance, We have collated some brochures from the reception area and will definatlely come back to the Holiday Inn. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family. The food was og good quality and a very nice dining area.

I had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Bolton Centre. My room was very clean and modern, I felt very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel had a good atmosphere and I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Bolton or the locality.

Convenient location. Fairly tired hotel facilities. Friendly staff, helpful. Some concerns with cleanliness in rooms and bathrooms. There are not too many other options for people wishing to stay in Bolton.
