Location / Lounge and Breakfast area
Small Bedroom and smelly bathroom. Mentioned Bathroom on check-out but the Guy was not that interested.....
The location !
The man who checked us in confirmed that the reservation had to be paid for and I found myself having to explain that the funds had already been debited from my account within a few days of booking our stay but he insisted they had not and then proceeded to tell me that he would need my card that I booked with as he had to reserve £50.00 !!!!!! he went on to assure me £50.00 would not be debited it was just in case we wanted a drink.. I found this very very strange. The bathroom was dirty and the floor was also.
Great location Nice rooms Clean Great breakfast with a lots of selections Big plus for vegetarian sausage on breakfast Modern hotel
Concierge not so nice Confused receptionist on arrival (but he was labeled Trainee, so OK) No free wi-fi
Breakfast, TV, Cleanliness, Conceirge service.
Price, Size of room.
Clean, friendly, good position to everything we wanted
Nothing comes to mind
Given wrong room, then given upgrade to executive room which was dark, cold and extremely noisy. Breakfast greasy and cold! Staff not too helpful either. Keys to rooms switched off long before check out time with cleaning staff knocking on the doors early!
The breakfast took 1 hour to arrive ..... And it tasted like it
Public areas were all very slick and modern and clean Quality of food and service in restaurant and breakfast was good. Room was reasonable size, clean and bed was comfortable
Although food good, at breakfast the plates were cold. They had plate-warmers, but they were switched off. The baked beans were cold, as there was no heater underneath the bowl. In this day and age, I object to paying for Wi-Fi, when I have already paid a fair price for the hotel. It is an essential these days and should be included for free. Food and drink prices on the high side.
Location, cleanliness, quality of linen, breakfast and helpful staff.
Plugs in sink and bath, shower over bath poor, bedroom lights, the special reading light would not work when main lights off-therefore useless.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We like the idea of getting a cookie on arrival something different.
We only stayed for one night but we're very impressed with the hotel, especially the free cookie at check in! Great spot between 2 tube stations, not far to walk to great cafés etc. Really clean, comfortable & friendly staff.
Staff went the extra mile.
Rooms were small so the double bed was up against the wall.
Location, rooms in Executive Area, Breakfast.
Part of Hotel is being renovated. During the day can be very noisy. I called the front desk and complained as I asked for a room in a quiet location and was told nothing they could do. They should have adjusted rate.
Pillows. Small bed
Chose this hotel for my 60yh birthday weekend on recommendation by another family member who had stayed there fairly recently. Hotel itself was lovely, buffet style breakfast was most enjoyable but there were a few issues with the 2 triple rooms that we had booked.
Thei first room seemed fine except there wasn't any hot water initially and the heated towel rail didn't work, these issues were resolved. The other room allocated was like a sauna with a noisy portable air conditioning unit in it trying to cool the room, this was unacceptable. After viewing one or two other rooms we settled on an upgrade to a deluxe double that was large enough to accommodate a roll away bed. The member of staff who dealt with us was as helpful as he could be and offered us a complimentary bottle of wine. Once settled in the room we found that the heated towel rail didn't work and the overbath shower head was pointing directly across the bath wetting the far wall and was not adjustable. These were reported but nothing was done about it, we had to use the shower head as a hand shower, not acceptable! Why isn't there free wi-fi in this day and age?
The "Deluxe Double" was a bit "chain hotel basic". Poor, weak shower, instant coffee etc. And it is about time that all hotels offered free WiFi, particularly at the room rates of the DT by H.
Concierge was excellent.
poky room, terrible view, typical Booking.com choice. Bath was small.I asked for toothpaste and was eventually brought a sewing kit.
Room ridiculously small, even for London standards
Nice place easy walk to a lot if things and a nice area. Free cookie on arrival :-) bonus and the room was nice
Paid 50 pound deposit on arrival and it was never used so I want it back. Price was quite high and the shower went everywhere there was also no free WiFi
Room was a good size and clean. Breakfast very good with a good choice.
Requested a quiet room - we got a room at the front looking onto a very busy road which, despite double glazing, was extremely noisy. We could also hear the lift announcements ('doors closing' etc.) right through the night. As I am allergic to feather pillows I requested a replacement - the one I was given was as hard as a brick! All in all sleep was not a restful experience.
only good point was it was close to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
on arrival there was work being done to the hotel an the noise was horrendous. we had to ask to be moved an you could still hear the noise. no dressing gown an slippers like we was told would be there in the second room. the bed was like rock. cutlery was dirty when we went for our meal.
The room was comfortable and reasonable spacioius for a London hotel. The location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to museums and good pubs and restaurants. .
I payed a 50 pound deposit when i checked in and the staff said i would get it back after i checked out i still havent recieved the 50 pound back yet how long will it take to come back into my account
the room was not prepared for 3 people not the extra bad not towels and even not coffe set nobody speak to you , they seems to be angry because you disturb them
Love the location if this hotel. Staff are great, as are the amenities.
We must have been majorly upgraded last time, as the room was tiny this time round. Also had none of the luxuries we got last time such as warm cookie on arrival, slippers or robes. Still happy, but the inconsistency is a little disappointing.
