DoubleTree by Hilton London – West End  

I would have selected excellent for comfort but I found the bathroom so poorly lit that I had to shave in the bedroom . Disappointing !! Room 47

I usually take a train from St. Pancras, so it is convienient to stay at Bloomsbury area.

I hope to have a little bit larger room with current reasonable price.

Location was very good, friendly staff especially on reception

We came down for my friends 30th they made us feel very welcome. Also were fab at sorting a surprise cake, balloons and champagne out for me. The location is brilliant. Staff were very helpful and friendly will deffientely be staying here again. :)

Clean and comfortable. Peaceful at night. In the location we wanted, to be near our daughter in London. Not too far from Russell Square and St. Pancras/King's Cross stations which are useful for transport. Also, a Barclays bicycle depot nearby. The First Capital Connect train to Brighton goes from Gatwick to St. Pancras on some days and is very reasonable.

We had asked for as large a double room as possible before we went. The room was very small which made it feel stuffy and the bed was up against the wall on one side. This meant that the person on the inside either had to climb over the other person or climb down to the bottom of the bed to get out. There was no light or locker (or even a small shelf) for the person on the inside to use. We did not get the cookie we were promised in an email 'with our name on it' either! When we mentioned the things we were disappointed about at the desk on check-out, we did not feel that much notice was taken of them. We also left a card with our comments in the room.

It gave an air of luxury and made you feel pampered - really lovely

All at the hotel was excellent, breakfast also, room good. Staff at the bar and breakfast were great

Therewas confusion when trying to confirm breakfast -language diffuculty (I an English) and annoyingly the bar was poorly stocked - no ginger ale and no whisky.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good atmosphere and breakfast was good as I paid £12.95 for full breakfast and my two boys aged 7 and 12 ate for free, good value. Also on arrival the boys got a hot cookie which went down well as a welcome. Room was not the biggest, but had everything we need and was very clean and modern.

The service was excellent and a prime location for the city

Good location, comfortable, clean , friendly helpful staff

Think maintenance could be improved. Slats missing off electric window blinds. Missing shower attachment so only fixed head available. Hot A/C did not work in one room and we were given upgrade room but hot A/C did not work here either so they provided heaters. Again slats missing off electric blinds. Only minor issues but avoidable
