I have no negative feedback to give about this hotel, I stayed in a double guest room and it contained everything I needed for one night (hairdryer, iron) were all included. The bed was really comfy and we decided on a later check out in the morning which was not a problem at all, just had to pay a little extra when we checked out. The only thing we didn't receive when we checked in was some cookies that a lot of the reviews mentioned, but that was the least of my worries!!

We were upgraded to an executive room. The bathroom was not up to scratch - no toilet paper, chipped bath and broken hook on door. One side of the bed had a dip and was very uncomfortable. A member of staff woke us up at 8.00 trying to enter the room, Room 47. September 01

Reception, bar and breakfast areas decorated to a high standard! Booked a superior room which was tastefully decorated with comfortable bed but the room was small. Breakfast was average. 15 minute walk to Covent Garden and theatres and the area felt safe at night. Ncp car park about 10 minutes walk - cost us £51 for 3 days. Booked a superior room for our wedding anniversary and the room was a disappointment for £200 per night, even considering the London location. No mini bar, hair-dryer and awful view of 'back to back' style houses and scaffolding in hotels back yard. Couldn't open wardrobe doors properly, black mildew on bathroom window seal and generally poor finish to room. The man who checked us in at reception did not smile and welcome us to the hotel as you would expect. In fact 'none' of the staff smiled during our 3 night stay - staff obviously don't enjoy their job?! Very limited tv channels in room without paying extra. Internet also extra. To be honest I have stayed in better Premier Inn hotels and this visit has put me off staying at a Hilton hotel again!

Good location for London City and walkable distance to London West End. Metro (Holborn) within 5mns walk. Food (room service) is good and prices raisonable. Service was bad.... They had a "care line" that was always busy, room service on voicemail when no one was around but you couldn't leave a message (!!), for some reason it wasn't possible to charge the internet to the room (even though there was an option to do so) so had to call the "care line" for them to give me a voucher which took between 20mns and 45mns to receive!! I stayed there 1 whole week and they put me in a room where the air conditioning wasn't working! That particular week was hot in London, sleepign and working in my room was just awful. The only remedy they had was to give me a portable fan (very noisy) which didn't really cool anything down, just bracing warm air. Oh and they brought me a free bottle of water the first day (like that makes up for it!). They also said I could be moved to another room but I had already unpacked and put everything away. If I had stayed 1 day I wouldn't really have bothered but 1 whole week for the price and so called quality that comes with DoubleTree Hilton chain, I was really disapointed. There just wasn't enough staff around meaning that whatever you were asking for took ages.

Good location, comfortable, clean , friendly helpful staff Think maintenance could be improved. Slats missing off electric window blinds. Missing shower attachment so only fixed head available. Hot A/C did not work in one room and we were given upgrade room but hot A/C did not work here either so they provided heaters. Again slats missing off electric blinds. Only minor issues but avoidable

It is ideally located for what we wanted to do : exhibitions, museums, shopping, near two underground stations. The room was pretty and comfortable, the concierge very helpful, the staff in general very pleasant.. and we loved the hot cookie we received on arrival !! The price charged for breakfast is really too high; we therefore chose to have breakfast in a coffee house next door !

We stayed in this hotel a few years ago when it was the Park Inn. We like the location and the hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard. The new layout of the reception and bar area works really well - much more welcoming and open. Our room was compact but it's all we need for a city break. The staff in reception and in the bar were very friendly and professional. The room could have done with a bit more soundproofing; we didn't mind the noise from the underground in the morning once the trains started running but found the coughing of the woman in the next room a bit annoying (she coughed throughout the night.) It wouldn't put me off staying there again, though.

Located close to Oxford Street for all the shops and Marble Arch but we still managed to walk to restaurants, Covent Garden, British Museum, Millenium Bridge, the Tate and Piccadilly Circus. The hotel room was well laid out, as was the en suite with lovely complimentary toiletries. The Staff were friendly and welcoming at Reception and the cookie was to die for. We meant to buy a box and sadly I forgot. The beds were extremely comfortable with pillows and cushions for support and there were plenty of hangers for clothes. I'd certainly recommend to others and happily stay there again. There were two small issues - the first was a window that wouldn't close properly causing a draft and letting in noise and the second was that we backed onto the service elevators and they seemed to visit our floor a lot!

The location is great. About 5 min walk to British Museum. Take about 10-15 min to oxford street. Ideal for shopping. We booked with about 50% discount. Otherwise, it will be too expensive. Hotels in London are always expensive and over-priced
