Room ridiculously small, even for London standards
Nice place easy walk to a lot if things and a nice area. Free cookie on arrival :-) bonus and the room was nice
Paid 50 pound deposit on arrival and it was never used so I want it back. Price was quite high and the shower went everywhere there was also no free WiFi
Room was a good size and clean. Breakfast very good with a good choice.
Requested a quiet room - we got a room at the front looking onto a very busy road which, despite double glazing, was extremely noisy. We could also hear the lift announcements ('doors closing' etc.) right through the night. As I am allergic to feather pillows I requested a replacement - the one I was given was as hard as a brick! All in all sleep was not a restful experience.
only good point was it was close to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
on arrival there was work being done to the hotel an the noise was horrendous. we had to ask to be moved an you could still hear the noise. no dressing gown an slippers like we was told would be there in the second room. the bed was like rock. cutlery was dirty when we went for our meal.
The room was comfortable and reasonable spacioius for a London hotel. The location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to museums and good pubs and restaurants. .
I payed a 50 pound deposit when i checked in and the staff said i would get it back after i checked out i still havent recieved the 50 pound back yet how long will it take to come back into my account
the room was not prepared for 3 people not the extra bad not towels and even not coffe set nobody speak to you , they seems to be angry because you disturb them
Love the location if this hotel. Staff are great, as are the amenities.
We must have been majorly upgraded last time, as the room was tiny this time round. Also had none of the luxuries we got last time such as warm cookie on arrival, slippers or robes. Still happy, but the inconsistency is a little disappointing.
Was woken up at 4am by staff having a conversation outside my door which was by the staff elevator
I liked the location and the hotel but the room was small and I was woken by he other occupants showers a bit noisy ;( that's my only critic
The location was good and the room was small but fair for the price
Room not ready on check-in, We waited an hour, then the allocated room was still not ready. This hotel is now expensive, even for London, the standard of service and room is not that good, so poor value for money
The location was excellent. The atmosphere was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The rooms were also comfortable.
The price for a small single room was way too high. As a frequesnt single traveller it always feels like we are being punished. Small rooms at exorbitant rates. If you are charging us more for a single room than a special price for a double at least have the courtesy to give us a double room.
Near tube, near hop-on-hop-off bus. Walking distance to many sites. Lovely bar area where wifi was free. We had a great stay here
Very tiny room. No free wifi in room
The room was opposite the service lift which was very noisy, meaning a very disturbed sleep.
Love staying with the DoubleTree group. The cookies are always most welcome. Staff were excellent in this hotel.
Only slight niggle was the "out-up" bed was ok for one/two night but not quite good enough for several nights
Friendliness of staff
The organised and courteous attitude throughout: reception;breakfast staff;concierge;room staff.
It would be nice to sit,and perhaps read a paper in a communal area, without having to purchase coffee, drinks etc. Otherwise, most pleasant.
The apartments were very spacious. Balcony outside room. Cleanliness of accomodation was very good. Food Quality excellent - breakfast was a delight. Location to west End was brilliant. Everything in walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel was nice and quiet considering the great central lo cation.
Room could of been a little bigger
Took the option of a quiet room, Nice ambience, comfortable room and great breakfast with Omelette station a great idea.
Nothing major a but Our names were mixed up with another client. Room service items could be cleared bring left outside other rooms a bit quicker. That is why I scored 2 as good.
Over priced, no staff at bar area in the morning
Location was great. Rooms small Value for money, but we had a special deal, would not like to have paid full price.
Excellent location. Just minutes walk from two tube stations and from The British Museum. Very comfortable, if small, room. Nice bed. Staff on Reception very attentive and courteous.
Complimentary tea/coffee was not replenished. I had to ask for tea and milk on several occasions. The room could have been maintained better - the small bedside lamps were not working and the bathroom, while clean, needed some upgrading. Cleaning of the corridors seemed a bit hit or miss.
The complimentary cookies!!!!!
Service in restaurant - a waiter was rude
