Service in restaurant - a waiter was rude
Executive rooms in a secure cut off areas
In an age we live in and travelling on business no free wifi is strange in the rooms
Help yourself refreshing drink in lobby on day of arrival. Very nice staff at breakfast
Drink not available any other time
The bed was comfy and facilities very good
Pillows were too soft and no others in the room to try. Tea making facilities was on hand but a plug socket was in a poor location.
Bed, breakfast, free cookies
Bit too pricey for what it was.
The staff, excellent and very friendly
The room, very tired and gloomy
Great location, comfy rooms, fab breakfast, cosy bar - we had a lovely weekend.
Hotel is in a great location. Just a few minutes walk to the tube station & close to Covent Garden. The room was comfy & had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing!! We had it included in the price we paid but if we had had to pay extra it would have been worth it.
Our room was a lot smaller than our friends room even though we all paid the same. Also the prices in the bar were a bit pricey.
All was very good with the hotel
Excellent reception, including efforts to entertain kids during check in. Good breakfast area again, family friendly
Used Room service trays from other rooms stayed in the corridors for much of the day.
Breakfasts were top quality and rooms clean and modern
Complained about air conditioning engineer never fixed it so room was to hot never slept. Shame really wife's 40th special occasion and came home exhausted
Location is convenient. Welcome cookies are excellent!
Beware of the noise due to rusty elevators and slamming doors from 6am. The rooms are small.
Location was perfect - easy walk to embankment, Euston, covent garden, tottenham couort road. We even walked to hyde park easily in 35 mins. Staff were excellent - the lady that checked us in was fab! Room was spot on (apart from the shower which did go everywhere - but im not bothered by that)
Price - if it came in under the £100 mark it would have been amazing.
Good location. Clean rooms. Enjoyable stay.
We were debited double of the room price by a member of staff. He informed us the money would not be taken out until the departure date, however as soon as he 'authorised' the card, double the amount left the account. We questioned him on this to his reply was 'sorry, I will refund you it'. By the next day the money still hadn't gone back into the account. When we asked why this was they simply suggested taking out the same amount again to see if we would get the refund. We were on a budget for the weekend, and we ended up been £200 out of pocket for the weekend.
Double room extremely small compared to other Doubletree Hilton hotels
We were very disappointed with the room as we had booked two rooms for six adults to celebrate a special birthday.....we went to reception and we were upgraded without any fuss at all....Amie has the best customer service skills I have ever come across....also when we checked out again excellent customer service....
When we initially booked in I found the receptionist to be a bit abrupt....I was asked for my credit card details and when I questioned why I was told just in case any damage to rooms £50 would be deducted......we are six mature females not teenagers...I felt.a little bit of sarcasm came across from the receptionist but this would not put me off visiting again.
Complimentary choc chip biscuit and tea/coffee making facilities bathroom products and hairdryer, iron etc.
Traffic noise from road as air con was not working and the weather hot we had to open windows or suffocate
The service was exemplary.
The room was smallish, but cozy :)
Location was reasonably good for Covent Garden/theatres
For an Executive Room it wasn't particularly big. Upgraded to Executive room because Booking.com told me it included a complimentary breakfast in the Executive Lounge. On arrival the staff told me this lounge had gone a while ago so no breakfast. Room wasn't ready until after 5pm despite informing them we would arrive around 3pm. Requested late checkout for 2pm, but was hounded by telephone from 1pm onwards - annoying given they were 3 hours late providing room on arrival.
Every single one of the reception staff was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. HR seriously need to train these people in customer service - let alone manners. At the point of my departure they charged me more than what I was supposed to pay and I was told they did not have time (?!) to transfer the money back to my account, and could not give it back in cash. Would definitely not stay there again, and thats all thanks to the horrible staff. On that note, the concierge tried his best and was a very sweet and polite man, hope he finds a better work environment.
Swift check in/out. Nice upgrade. Breakfast
Easy check in. Pleasant staff. Concierge most pleasant and helpful.
