Our host was amazing. She provided us with so much information and she was kind enough to let us check in early after our flight was cancelled. We found a wonderful supply of super ingredients for breakfast in the fridge. It was great to have so much space on our last day in Scotland. I would recommend this accommodation to everybody!! The beds were comfy and we had two bathrooms, a kitchen and two bedrooms. The location is brilliant and we loved being in the countryside away from the noise. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!

You must visit the Linlithgow Palace! The streets in Linlithgow are walkable, so that's nice. Be aware whenever you are anywhere in Scotland on a Monday, restaurants and shops may be closed (I ran into this all over each Monday). Otherwise, Linlithgow is a quaint town with rich history. Go!

Enjoyed exploring this historic town. Visited the Palace and the museum and the canal basin during our short stay. Next time we would like to walk round the lake and explore the area more. There seemed to be lots of nice looking cafes, restaurants and pubs too.

Unfortunately the magnificent Palace was closed for repairs but the loch, town and canal were as lovely as ever. I have previously stayed in Linlithgow and remember it well from my boyhood in Edinburgh. The glorious cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling are quickly reached by train but Linlithgow is of course well worth visiting in its own right. You will soon find your own favourite cafes and restaurants and remember the unique sound of car tyres on cobbled streets! So get your morninng rolls and come here. Enjoy.

A great place to enjoy walking around and to follow the trails offered. The Palace and the Peel, the loch and the pavement cafes were our favourites.
We had some take-away and also a meal in the Star and Garter but there was really so much choice of eating places it depended on how busy it was at certain times. Unfortunately, the Palace was undergoing some building work so was not open. It is worth walking up to see the Union Canal basin, all run by volunteers.
It is a friendly and welcoming town.

Our ‘room’ was on three levels and felt more like an apartment. Bathroom was modern and the shower was fantastic. Kitchenette was stocked with breakfast supplies and had a seating area with tv, sofa and table to eat at. Downstairs was the main bedroom. So comfy! Owner was welcoming and helpful. Location was fantastic - straight across from Linlithgow Palace on the Main Street of the town and close to everything. The hotel is in an old courthouse building and has lots of character, and also private parking.
Very well equipped and laid out shepherds hut considering it's dimensions which obviously limited what can be fitted within. Parking was in a spacious allocated location with the key lock-box right there.
Location was superb. Very quiet and peaceful and yet not too far to walk into Linlithgow, or use the hourly bus service (F1) which stops right outside the driveway during the day time only. A regular bus runs from Linlithgow to Edinburgh which suited our needs very well.
The Star and Garter is the perfect location for people visiting Edinburgh. On arrival, the check-in experience was very efficient and we were delighted with the overall standard of the accommodation. The beds were comfortable and the room was presented extremely well (tasteful décor, high standard of cleanliness and a range of quality complimentary products). The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay in the hotel. Highly recommended!
Oh my goodness, we absolutely love this apartment! Everything you could possibly need or want was provided and it was situated in such a beautiful area too. The bus stop to Edinburgh is on the main road in front of the apartment complex and it’s also easy to get into nearby Linlithgow town. Everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, well maintained, warm and welcoming and felt just like a home from home. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This was our second stay at Court Residence and didn't disappoint. Fantastic self catering apartments. Very comfortable rooms decorated and equipped to a very high standard. Secure parking but only a short walk from the train station if traveling by public transport.
Large choice of bars, cafes and several restaurants within a few minutes walk. Can thoroughly recommend Bar Leos Italian restaurant for an evening meal.
So easy to give this residence top marks across all areas. We’ve been a few times now and expect to go back. It’s super clean, luxurious feeling, an interesting setting in historical building with mod con features. Perfect for our family and centrally placed in Linlithgow. Breakfast is brilliant and the extras in fridge are great too. Owners are always lovely and check in to see how we are getting on
hotel very close to railway station but trains did not run during the night.room was very clean and public areas were the same, staff were continuosly wiping down surfaces.large choice for the breakfast menu with full english more than enough tokeep you going all day.all the staff made you feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble for them.
A short train ride from Edinburgh it's the perfect little spot to explore from. Parking outside the door, a few decent pubs, a Loch and a Palace to have a walk around. The house is Wee but homely and after walking around Edinburgh all day the bed is super comfy! Fully equipped and clean
Our stay at Arden Country House was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. Everything about our stay was first rate. It is easily the best place we’ve stayed during our 4 week trip thru Iceland, Ireland and Scotland.
Amazing weekend break at the Badgers Den - quiet and private location, very comfy, modern, perfectly clean accomodation a few steps away from the main B&B building. 5 min drive to Linlithgow. I will definitely book again.
We felt at home in this quaint and quiet apartment. Close to glasgow and edinburgh, and a couple minutes to town.
The interior and exterior are well maintained. The jacuzzi tub with television is a nice retreat.
Very nice hotel with an excellent bar/restaurant. and both very reasonably priced. It’s very convenient to the Edinburgh airport and a way better option price wise than staying at the airport.
Perfectly located for my needs on the outskirts of Linlithgow with facilities on the doorstep. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, this was exactly what I was after. Thanks for a terrific stay!
Third time of visiting.
Clean, comfy, well equipped apparent in a quiet area of Linlithgow.
Bottle of wine on arrival is a nice touch.
Host is very responsive and easy to contact.
The house is in an idyllic location, close to Linlithgow.
It is immaculate, inside and out, and all the rooms and facilities would be a credit to a five star luxury hotel;.
lovely breakfast. it’s cheaper if you book the room without breakfast and then add it on when you check in. The hotel is lovely, the staff were very welcoming.
