Friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms with great views. Plenty of space. Good central location. Breakfast room not ideal- too cramped as its really intimate evening resturant. Food was ok and decent selction- though would have liked fruit. But staff not good- treated us as a bit of a nusiance sullen and unresponsive. Second morning we were five and tables for five had two people sitting at them so we had to be crammed into an area they had set up for evening meal. Could do with a bit more active managment and customer service ethos. Only thing which let the hotel down at all.

The location was perfect as we were attending an event at the Brighton Centre. It was very close to the centre and also a large ncp car park. The room was spotlessly clean and looked as if it had recently been renovated. Breakfast was very good with the usual selection of cereals and cooked sausages, bacon, eggs etc. I would certainly stay there again. My only criticism is that the shower head was quite low down (I am not particularly tall!) And the water tended to go hot and cold.

Location and room view quite good. Easy to get to main shopping areas. Reduced car parking voucher for the NCP Car Park. Very close to the Beach and sea front. Radiator in our room absolutely filthy inside, bathroom door was stiff, internal doors were sticky and the coffee bar was not open and did not look like it was being used anyway. The main revolving door is very difficult to get into with suitcases.

Location location location ....near to station and shopping...opposite beach, nice walk down to the pier, sealife and other amenities....staff were excellent..very friendly and approachable, chatty and polite. Check in was a bit hectic as not all rooms were ready by 3pm but the staff were apologetic and explained what was going on. Very surreal restaurant attached to the hotel, bit like dining on the set of Phantom of the opera...all red velvet curtains and worn down candles....interesting food options....dont plan a quick lunch there as no fast food and it is a tad expensive for what it is....breakfast was ok ...serviceable, nothing out of the ordinary...did what it was meant to do !!! Room was , well , roomy, huge bed, clean, warm and good bathroom facilities ..hairdryer didnt work but reception provided one that did.....overall a good decent fairly priced stay ...would go back again [ and u can use swimming pool at the Queens down the road too !!!!!!!!} It could do with a spruce up ...paintwork a bit tired, rooms look a little jaded , coffee bar that was once there now a luggage storage facility...reception a little on the small side ...but these really are just picky little complaints....its a seafront hotel that offers you a decent room with breakfast included....you want posh ? you go to one of the more expensive ones nearer the pier...simple as.............

Very close to the beach, lovely breakfast, good value, free wifi, nice shower room. The parking cost me £50 for 48 hours. Apparently had I parked at the ncp car park next door to the car park I went to (Churchill car park) I could have got a voucher from the hotel and only pai d .£24. I was not told this though and it was nowhere on their website.

The location The dining room was disgusting. The 'breakfast' - loosely termed - was even worse. Very little choice, they ran out of everything, what they did have was awful. Scrambled egg that looked like it had been there for days, as did the sausages, mushrooms. The whole area was scruffy, dirty, I worked in a steelworks and the canteen there which was a hole was still far better this.

Location was good, that was about it. The cost against value...although the bed was comfy, my bathroom wasn't clean. The shower was old, warn and didn't work. The grime between the tiles wasn't nice. The breakfast in the morning wasnt ready for 7am as advertised, the buffet selection was poor. The hotel bar didn't open until 3pm and at 2230, you couldn't get a drink. Needs a good revamp. Staff weren't sympathetic and quite rude with their answers. They didn't feel compelled to offer a solution to a problem, just give a short answer with no option.

The family room was spacious and this particular one had a sea view. I had put a note in when booking to mention my father was disabled and it would be good having a ground floor or somewhere accessible. They didn't have one on the ground floor but gave us a room right opposite the lift. The price was reasonable and the free wifi was a bonus point (when it didn't work, they were quick to resolve the problem and there wasn't an issue since). There is also a 24 hr reception and left luggage, which was handy. Although parking was an issue, a discount card is available from reception, reducing the parking fee to £12 a day at the ncp which is within walking distance. The breakfast was good but it could have been warmer. The front door is awkward to get in, particularly if you have lots of and/or large luggage. Lift is slightly small but luckily, I only had to go up one flight of stairs. There was noise from clubbers but being Friday night, it can't be helped- I didn't have any problems sleeping.

Location - but this did not make up for what a sham of a hotel it is. The location was useful but the room was tiny and for the price I paid (about £100 for a single room for one night) it was pretty shocking. My room had been used just before I arrived - dirty wet towels were on the floor and the bin was full of rubbish. I was in a rush to get to a party so I didn't have time to complain to the extent I wanted - I just made sure they at least reset my room key as I was concerned someone had access to my room. I also needed an ironing board and it took about half an hour to arrive even though I said I needed it urgently and they said it was not a problem. The hotel receptionist made it very clear that the breakfast was rubbish which made me feel (along with the state of my room) that the staff don't think much of the hotel - but she was friendly. It was also quite a noisy hotel - my bedroom windows were closed but some sort of machine was constantly making a noise all night. I would not stay here again and would never recommend it to someone else. Over priced and filthy. Avoid!

They up-graded us for the same price. Lots of space the children loved it. Great views and only 2 minutes from the beach. Very expensive nice hotel but £200 for one night - phew that's expensive. Breakfast was not freshly cooked and there was only plastic bread.

I was disappointed at this hotel. There was no refrigerator in all rooms and they couldn't keep our cold drinks. We stayed "Family seaside room", but the room fronts the road which meets in a line perpendicular to the coast. We couldn't enjoy an ocean view...Some plates were dirty in the cafeteria.

Good location While a good location, it is also extremely noisy esp. at night, being on the main seaside road and next to a noisy nightclub. At breakfast on the 21st july, we had to wait for 35 minutes to get some bread, only comment from the stafff was 'we're waiting for delivery' - this was at 8am.

Zilch...entertainment value from today's perspective? I'm glad they've asked me to write this review today instead of yesterday when I checked out now that I've calmed down. And I'm glad we paid a relative discount on the room because if I'd paid the full price I would have set fire to the duvet on the way out and been done with it. This was utterly appalling. Room was smaller than any hostel I've ever stayed in. Not the photo on their website. Minus two degrees and snowing outside and no heating in the room. Three complaints to downstairs, concierge slamming the phone down on me as I asked for a portable heater. Eventually go one at 11pm. Knobs had been broken off so couldn't adjust above lowest setting. 'Restaurant' is a joke. Worst nights sleep ever had in a 'hotel'. Rude, arrogant staff, hard bed, gross room, freezing, reeked of smoke, ridiculously loud, bathroom dirty, towel rail not working, shower leaking...I Could continue but this sounds whingey enough as it is. I can't say anything about this experience was pleasant except its close to the city centre - but there are a hundred other hotels around I would recommend before this one.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very obliging when I needed to change my room. They were also efficient. The original single room allocated to me was very small and pokey. It was also situated down a warren of corridors which worried me in case of fire. I was then relocated at a supplement to a lovely room at the front of the hotel overlooking the sea. While the room was spacious and had a sea view the disco noise went on until 5am. So for two nights I got little sleep. I changed to a rear of hotel room which was quiet and met my needs for sleep.

Location is great. We had a 5 bedded room which is hard to find. Restaurant is reasonable and so are food prices. The majority of staff were very rude. Luggage storing room is advertised but was not available on either day of our stay. A male receptionist informed us that we would have to get up at 7a.m if we wished to have used this facility. "This isn't Victoria Station" he informed us. I have never stayed in a hotel where staff were so rude and surly and argumentative ( with the exception of 1 or 2 ) If you are hoping for a warm welcome and helpful friendly staff I would suggest that you will be disappointed if you stay here.
