Location ws excellent, lively but classy! Secure free Parking available which was a must. Rooms were a little on the bright side in the decor but clean, big and comfortable. We went for a night out in the city but enjoyed having a drink more in the bars on the street where the hotel was located. Friendly and helpful staff, would definately use the hotel again when we revisit Newcatle.

Clean room, comfortable bed, spotless bathroom. Only 4 tubs of milk for tea - not enough. Ditto teabags.

The room we stayed in was an executive suite and was a good sized room for just the two of us as it had the seperate living room area, the staff were very accomedating and was only 10m mins away from teh nearest metro station so was esaily accessable to the centre of town.

the hotel was very spacious and well looked after, the rooms where very clean and well presented, the food was very good and well priced, the hotel is ideally situated for the town and is only a 5 mins taxi ride, overall very good and would recommend it to friends. the only thing that we didnt like about the hotel, was that somebody set the fire alarm off at 3-45am in the morning.

The hotel was clean and only 3/4 stops on the metro from Central station. In a very cosmopolitan area, it was a treat to stay there. I will be back. Breakfast was yummy too.

Very comfortable, clean hotel although the curtains did not draw completely in my room 122. The staff were very helpful and provided secure storage for our 3 bikes - having just completed coast 2 coast. The curtains did not close completely in my room and the shower curtains are not big enough to stop the water pooling on the floor and making it very dangerous stepping out of the bath. Breakfast was also over priced - It turned out that my breakfast booking for my room did not go through but the breakfast for the twin room did so I got charged £9.75 and my friends in the Twin room rate was only £7.50 so I was not happy about that - how can anyone justify that amount for breakfast?

The food was excellent quality both in the bar and hotel. Bit noisy, other guests were disruptive and I think were thrown out, so it was good the staff dealt with them.

Fantastic hotel, perfect for us. We were going to a concert in Sunderland and it was so easy to get the metro directly there. The hotel staff were very freindly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and breakfast was delicious. There was free parking aswell. Would definitely recommend this hotel, in a lovely location, close to metro station to get into Newcastle for shopping it was great value for money booking thru booking.com.

We had an executive room which was lovely, everything you could need was in the room, an iron and ironing board, lovely towels and toiletries, hairdrier, tea and coffee making facilities and a flat screen tv. We are in the Birsto, the food was really tasty and well presented, we also had a buffet style cooked breakfast which was really good, alot of choice and a nice seating area. The waiter Ron was so friendly and catered to your every need, I hope the hotel really appreciate what a good ambassador for the hotel he is. We came back at midnight after a concert in the town and fancied a drink but the night manager said we would have to wait half an hour because the tills had been changed over, surely the drimks could have been charged to the room.

The location is excellent and there is sufficient free parking. The hotel is very clean and well staffed and maintained. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and high standard of food. The facilities are very modern in general. Our room was cleaned and the bed made whilst we had breakfast which was impressive. Our room (g3) was on the ground floor to the rear of the reception desk. We were awoken at around 6 in the morning by the sound of people (probably members of staff) stomping up and down the corridor right outside our room and opening and closing doors. Also, immediately opposite our room there was a man sat at his desk in what looked like an office! It was strange coming out of your bedroom and there's someone just sat there at a desk! I don't think its right that they have guests stay in that part of the hotel because it seems to be used for other things.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, staff very welcoming and pleasant, the breakfast was very good a lot of choice for every kind of palette, the drinks were a wee bit pricy but in the whole a very nice hotel to stay in. It could have been better if it had its own swimming pool and leisure facility.
