I stayed in two rooms at the hotel over the two nights that I stayed. Both rooms had a tied feeling to them. With remote controls stuck together with tape and one not working at all. The toilet seat in room 206 made out of wood was rottinr around the edge and was very unhygenic. Tapes were loose and toilet had not been cleaned. Reception managment were welcoming, but lost interest after I checked in. As it said in the guest pack in the rooms to ask if you wanted to delay your departure to let reseption know. I contacted the reception manager and asked if I could stay in the room for an extra hour as I might be staying anouth evening. I was told without any further discusion no and that was it. I checked out only to have to check in again. |

Level of service from staff was much higher than we would normally expect for the rate we paid. Breakfast was good too. Room was on the small side but ok for a weekend. |

Location very good. Staff having to serve at the bar amongst other duties in between, meaning having to wait to be served. Too much pressure on staff at the front line. Paper towel for the bathroom, too flimsy ! |

Great location, just off the sea front. The bed was very confortable, and the breakfast was decent too. Dated decor in the room, and our room was a little noisy - an electric buzz that came on and off during the night from an unidentified source. |

Breakfast poor decor, cheap furniture in the " superior room number 203 "No extractor fan in the bathroom. No themastat on the hot tap, which was a problem when showering. Paper bath mat was dangerous on the tiled floor. It was a disapointing experience having seen the web site. |

The staff were polite and helpful and the hotel is conveniently situated close to the front. Despite Great Yarmouth being a busy seaside resort and the hotel being so close to the front the hotel is free from all the hustle and bustle. Parking is difficult. We booked through the internet which gave no indication of the floors. We found that we had to negotiate no fewer than 36 steps to our bedroom from the ground floor which was extremely difficult for a couple both aged over 80. The room was also very hot. |

We found the staff to be very pleasant and approachable. It was nice to have been able to sit in the bar for a relaxing drink in the evening with a younger sibling without feeling uncomfortable. It was also nice to have the option of a superior room. No. However it was a bit annoying that we had to keep going outside for a ciggarette and that we could not smoke in our own room (having booked a separate room to our children). Probably would have stayed an additional evening had we realised that the hotel was so pleasant but did not make sufficient arrangements in working life. |

In a quiet location, overlooking private grounds, this award-winning guest accommodation is just a short stroll away from Great Yarmouth’s beach, the seafront and the town centre. |
Tastefully decorated and refurbished, The Kensington has a licensed bar, popular restaurant and en suite rooms. The hotel is in an ideal position on the seafront, a short stroll from Britannia Pier. |
