The staff where helpful Hotel is a bit dated and tired looking. It really could do with being refurbished. However for the price it was more than adeqaute

Very friendly and supportive staff. Enjoyed playing games in the garden too. The laundry room, with the door constantly open and the noise of the washing machine and drier on the way to my room. It looked very unproffesional.

Breakfast was good even if the staff didn't get the order right at first. The hotel was probably good for the area! First room allocated was noisy from adjoining room with interconnecting door and radiators not working. We moved rooms to a family room. There was thick dust on top of the wardrobe where I put my empty bag. The room was not cleaned /serviced the following day. Lots of things had been 'bodged' in the bathroom.

I didn't like to see the linen on the corridor. If they were changing and cleaning the rooms they should use trolley.

We found the hotel very enjoyable. We booked at the last minute it was our anniversary. We were not going any where but decided at the last to get away. We looked on the wed site and saw it and its only two hours at the most from our home so we booked it and are very pleased we did, We came down for evening meal on the sunday night, to be told the restaurant wasn't open which was abit of a shock as I said we went away for a special anniversary and wanted a nice meal like the one we had had on the saturday night with you. To be told it was closed we asked at reception the girl was lovely she said we should of been told when we checked in on saturday that it was closed but we were not so we had to eat in the bar which was nice, but not as intermet as your restaurent is, the girl on the reception did offer to open it up for us but you could not of expected the staff to do that just for two people but it was nice of her to offer

It appears to have been formerly a large Victorian town house (or two), and these tend to have more attractive architecture than modern one-level faceless buildings. There was no compromise in the accommodation as it came with a proper bathroom, something often missing in modern buildings or conversions. Just one thing. Generally there's never enough milk and sweetener for making tea and coffee in the bedroom, and Comfort Great Yarmouth was no exception. I like my drinks sweet, milky and weak(ish), so I'd like to have the option without having to call reception. The milk portions are only tiny!

All the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. We didn't like the fact that the heating didn't come on until 5.0pm.It was the 13th and 14th January we arrived into our room at about 3.0pm the window was slightly open (which I would expect between guests) so for 2 hours we had to sit in the cold. Once the heating came on it warmed up the room quite well. Our other comment was the time for breakfast was very early (we were on a short break, and thought breakfast could between 7.0am and 10.0am) These"complaints" are only minor irritations, overall we enjoyed our stay with you.

Although the room was clean the hotel is very dated and would benefit from a significant refit, was akin to an "old peoples" home. Food was V.poor. Customer service of employees was generally good although presentation was "rough around the edges"...

The only aspect we have any complaints about is that the room was not cleaned or replenished on the second day of our stay.

Only the location of this hotel is worth the money you pay for it. Room was not comfortable at all (heating doesn't work, hard mattress, noisy toilet ventilation system, only freezing or boiling water available for showering, etc)

I like old hotels, if I had to pass comment about my stay I would say the following. My room which I think was no 216 was directly above the kitchen at 5 am the extractor fan started which is quite noisey,in addition to that it produced some horrible smells I.e last nights dinner with todays breakfast. I am currently having problems with my hip and found that there were no hand or grab rails on the bath which made it difficult to get in and out of the shower. The chain on the door to the room has at some time been forced leaving a razor sharo splinter which could dig into somebody's hand , I did tell your receptionist when I checked out. That said your staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would I stay there again? I am not sure, probably I would because your food was very good and the portion size was good.
