The whole experience ,one day one night the rest and food and the professionalism of the staff ,brilliant
the shower head was rubbish and too old
The room I was given once I had complained about the first one.
On arrival I was given a small single room which was very dated and tired, stained carpets, cupboard door falling off and shower fitting coming away from the unit on wall.
Car park very busy on arrival
No shower for two nights
pleasant staff and good food
very tired and tatty - in urgent need of a a makeover. In room - kettle filthy, shower mat dirty, shower tray chipped and small, sticky tv remote, carpet grubby, chairs stained. Avoid!!
The room we had was extremely pleasant añd met every need. The staff were so helpful añd friendly. The Manager was very approachable and passionate about his hotel. Well done.
Duvet rather heavy. A bottle of water in the room would have been appreciated
Room, bed, bathroom, wifi, location, car park
Would have preferred a safe in the room
Staff were friendly
Shower was held up with plastic. Bathroom taps were dirty. WiFi was intermittent. No phone signal. Carpets were sticky. Generally very run-down
The bar was pleasant, and had a warm friendly atmosphere.
First morning no hot water, second morning I the hot water was fixed however turns out the thermostat in the shower wasn't functioning so the shower was only hot water, and I mean hot.
Nice welcome Old fashioned comfort Nice breakfast as we requested Plenty of parking space Stairs for luggage
Stairs for luggage
WI-fi was good strength
Shower had no pressure
The hotel was a reasonable price, the staff were pleasant and it was clean.
Doors banging at night. I think if the hinges were adjusted then the doors would shut more quietly. It certainly disturbed our sleep.
Optional breakfast is a good idea. Good price. Clean and comfortable.
No iron in room, available in Reception. Wi fi is extra.
The food The food The food
Slightly shabby feel. Only one bath towel in the room.
The food was good. The dining facility had been improved. The manager was on site. The hotel was well placed for my business meeting.
There is nowhere to relax. The design of the hotel is to say the least unusual as you have to go upstairs in order to go down to some rooms.
good restaurant, nice and cosy atmosphere in bar, lounge and restaurant, good sleep in the bed, clean, quiet
room very small, bad telephone reception in the room, staff helpful, but not in every case well informed about what to see in the surroundings, breakfast good, but expensive, curtain holder lacerated
Large rooms in quiet location - plenyy of free parking - warm welcome
Hotel decor a little tired - bar and restaurant closed a little early - some fixtures in the room needed fixing/updating
Have stayed there a few times
Decor is getting tatty. Anyways the hotel has been sold and will close in about 4 weeks to become a residential care home. I was told this by the manager on Friday.
I liked the friendly staff, the leafy country environment, the friendly pub atmosphere without excess. My room was well furnished. Obviously a useful conference venue.
No obvious lift. A maze of corridors and stairs took some time to achieve familiarity with getting back to Reception. This despite signage. Wouldn't recommend it for disabled or infirm.
We enjoyed our stay, bed was comfy, the restaurant food good. We had first a room on the ground floor and the wifi was very poor until no wifi connection. The heating was on in the bathroom and in the room and we could not turn the heating off. Bathroom heater was controlled automatically and the one in the room was broken. Being on the ground floor we did not feel comfortable leaving the window open so we asked if someone could fix the heating but they couldn't. We got a different room on the 3rd floor. Wifi connection was much better and the heating was off. The shower tab was faulty and we struggled a lot to get a temperature where could enjoy a shower. Nice location to go for a walk. We walked to the small town centre that had a few shops as well as a costa coffee. Very nice but next time we would book somewhere else to stay.
I thought the hotel provided good value for money in a nice location, easily accessible to get to legoland with my young son which was purpose of my visit to area. Thought the food was good for breakfast and found the staff all very amenable and friendly. As staying in one of the executive rooms I found this to be great and would recommend it.
Hotel has no lift so the walk up and down was an ache to the 3rd floor with a sleeping toddler If I went again would ask for a lower floor room. Anyone not to good on their feet should do same. Otherwise I would recommend based on my experience and room I stayed in.
Unable to open window for fresh air. Filthy toilet and 1 bath and 1 hand towel for two people to share !
Romantic couple in adjacent room could be heard far too clearly. Food mediocre, foid service sliw (45minutes is too long to wait for a mediocre burger).
