The hotel was very well located for what we wanted - access to Oxford and also a trip to the North West. The entrance was impressive and the facilities clean. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The breakfast was very expensive and not very good. For example, the fried egg was dried up and there was a poor choice for a 4 star hotel. There was a limited choice for people on medical diets (e.g. healthy food). We did not have breakfast there on the second day for these reasons. We also felt that to make a charge for car parking was quite extorionate, especially at a Bank Holiday, as we have never had to pay this, even on the outskirts of London.

A "view" to the basement: Some of the bedrooms have views to... A wall. Furthermore the bedroom smell of dampness/humidity was too much. This seems to be a case of excessive greed: Most of the hotel bedrooms seemed well placed with normal views, but the management seemed to decide to use all spare space for rooms, even ones with no condition. The same with the "free" internet: 30 minutes, max 50 mb. Just enough to say it is "free". Never again

Hotel staff are friendly, I arrived very late in the evening and didn;t expect to be able to get anything to eat, but the front of desk Receptionist was fantastic, he arranged tea and food to be delivered to my room within 15 mins of me checking in. This was really appreciated.

Comfortable stay. Buffet breakfast was nice. No option to enter from the a40. At night it was difficult to find a point to turn around. Paid parking is a bit cheeky. Could have parked around the corner for free. Too far from city centre to walk.

Gym and restaurant were good. Internet access, parking both were hidden extras, the internet at 15 a day with no signal in the bedroom. I thought this was poor especially as this is also a conference centre.

The Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I had no real complaint about the hotel facilities or staff Internet access is a complete rip off at £15 per night plus £7 for any Smart device. In this day and age most hotels provide this for free or for a nominal charge. Room service was very slow however because of this the meal was provided for free so no real complaint there. Because of the internet access rip off I will not stay at this hotel again and my company will not use for training / events.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The television in the room was too old, small and had very few channels. The room service was an hour late and the order was wrong.

Excellent location. Modern hotel, good standard of décor and facilities. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Room very small and cramped, was more suitable for solo occupancy not a couple. We stay in hotels all over Europe at least once a month and this hotel did not match up to the offer of other 4 star hotels. Other issues were the mattress was very uncomfortable and there were only two pillows in the room. The TV reception was also poor.

The location. Easy parking. Quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Free newspaper. Room allocated was very small. Hotel far from full. Really no need to put guests in the smallest possible room.

Having stayed at the hotel in2009 we knew what to expect. We much preferred the dining room where it is now, previously it was upstairs. We did think there might have been a sign of the season in the room, perhaps a card or bit of tinsel round the mirror!! I was very annoyed that you found it necessary to charge for parking our car. Never have I been charged for parking at any other hotel, motel or guest house. For this reason not only will I not stay there again but will tell folk why not.

Location. Staff pleasant. Rooms very nice and clean. Excellent bed slept wonderfully! Not able to choose a continental breakfast as a cheaper option for family budget. Car park charge for staying at hotel. Reception/lounge area large and therefore feels rather stark/cold not comforting to sit around in. However there is another bar area a little more cosy.

Rooms were clean and bathroon was clean Booked taxi for a wedding, this was done in advance and this was not arranged resulting in being late for the event. The room was too hot and the thermostat did not work. Do not have breakfast here, poor quality and staff gave conflicting times for breakfast. I would not book here again.

Good location. The food for breakfast was good The breakfast service wasn't great. They need to have someone greeting guests & telling them how it works. We struggled to get cutlery & drinks the first day. All the tables were full of dirty plates & there wasn't a waiter in sught. The waiters were pleasant & helpful when you tracked one down but they should have been approaching us & offering us tea or coffee, setting the tables etc

Very clean. Bedrooms well ventilated and warm. Being charged for car parking (over charged) being charged for wifi. (If you have to pay it is not a service - ask McDonalds) Being charged over £50 for breakfast for 4 when we had one cup of coffee each and a croissant.

Lovely hotel, convenient to city centre. Slightly over priced, staff not as informative as they should have been.. Not told it was necessary to make reservation at restaurant, ended up having to go elsewhere.

Nice clean high standard room Reception staff seemed more interested in their own gossip/chatting rather than paying guests. Asked reception to call taxi. Long wait and a taxi arrived but for another couple. 30 mins later another taxi came and this was still not ours. When asked reception staff if they could check by phone if they a cab was on its way- no help offered. Just told to go and check for ourselves.
