Easy access to M40 along A34 as well as Oxford City Centre.

Not many staff around at breakfast to show you the self service system(very minor concern)

Pool very small and scum around the water line.

We got an upgrade on our room as it was my boyfriends birthday. I thought it was a lovely gesture and we greatly appreciated it!

Unfortunately, the room didn't seem quite 'finished' in terms of tidying from the previous guests as there was a discarded tissue under the bedside table and we had to ask for shampoo/shower gel. But we was welcomed by a birthday card for my boyfriend which was nice!

Reception area looked good and promised great things from the hotel

Poor and rude service. Despite booked a month ago, they struggled to find two rooms for us, and then left us waiting for 30mins while they sorted it out and didn't apologise at all. When we finally got rooms they were cold, noisy and the carpets hadn't been vacuumed. My experience was definitely NOT 4*

I spent half an hour trying to call room service with no answer. I gave up and ate in restaurant.

Restaurant does not have basic food, too fancy for a family and not cost effective.

We attended the Martin Roberts 3 day course so staying at the Hotel was ideal. We didn't have to go out of the Hotel at all. The staff were all very friendly. The facilities for the course were great.

We ordered sandwiches one lunch time and for the price, they were not very nice. The bread was very thick and there could have been more filling.

Room

No glutten free bread at breakfast. Cost of drinks in bar was extortionate - over £11's for a pint of beer and a glass of wine.

Large room with plenty of space for sitting and watching the good sized LCD TV. Good wardrobe hanging/shelf space with plenty of hangers. Parking very good and near. Bar and restaurant nicely laid out with good service, just a little pricey. Reception staff attentive and caring.

Too many stairs. Not mobility friendly. One set of stairs to get to bar and sports area. Then a further set of stairs to get to the restaurant. There was an industrial type lift which did nothing but draw attention to the users. Not nice! Some of the rooms were too far away from the facilities with yet more wooden stairs to contend with. We had to ask for a room change nearer the facilities. High pitched noise all through the night from somewhere in the room. Unable to pinpoint source but kept us awake on the two nights. The air conditioning was useless and regardless of how many times I tried to adjust it, the room was too hot through the night.

The actual pool and treatments were lovely. There was a relaxed atmosphere, however this did seem to affect the time of service.

There are no spa facilities - as in a jacuzzi. There are no lifts in the actual hotel or for the pool. The main bar is not open during the day, but there is a large screen which has sky tv.

Lots on for breakfast but the quality was so so, cold fish dried out a bit and bacon like cardboard but plenty of other choices

Staff were exceptional. Food was delicious. Room was clean, well presented and very comfortable.

Pool shape meant it was difficult for more than one person to swim, it's more of a splash pool although still nice. Layout of the leisure area is a little strange, meaning you have to walk back through the corridors after having showered and prepped for the pool.

A little pricey.

I appreciated the top class reception staff who were on duty when I checked in late. The room was really modern and very comfortable. It is also situated a short taxi ride to the city centre.

Had to change rooms as was put in room with one double bed when I was travelling with my 12 year old son. I got no sleep as both phones were flashing the whole night. They came to clean room before 9 and I had not checked out yet. A very disappointing visit will not stay again and would rather choose premier inn which is more child friendly.
