Efficient staff and a great location.
My husband and I had wanted to stay in the hotel for years.we finally found time and booked one night away.sadly it did not live up to our expectations the room overlooked a shaby broken pool.the wardrobe was damp and our clothes smelt so we couldn't wear them. the bathroom was very small but shabby, the staff were very polite and the views amazing.sadly we wont return to this hotel.
The Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was very good particularly the breakfast. The view is stunning from the hotel
The bar area could be a bit more comfortable.
The greeting was friendly and informative. The room was clean and functional. Terrific shower. The food was hearty, tasty and wholesome. The views from the restaurant and location are brilliant.
The only critisism I have is the room was too hot for my tastes. I tried to turn the radiator off, but didn't seem to make any difference. The window could only be opened a short way to alleviate the best.
The view, amazing location, comfortable stay
Not really a negative but No chocolate brownie on the menu otherwise we would have dined there to :)
Extremley helpful staff
Hallways, bedrooms and bar / restaurant area are an old fashioned design. Needs to be modernised in its look and feel.
A comfy short stay. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff, good location for exploring the Jurassic coast.
Fantastic Views, good breakfast
Mean on the bathroom extras such as shower gel and shampoo
the added bonus of fried bread with the breakfast .
the fact that the room had not been checked for :- a) Duff bedside lamp bulb . b) Shower rail support not connected c) One of the radiators - no heat from it needed bleeding - esp as no rads or additional heat for bathroom .
Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Hotel clean, foyer was huge. Views excellent.
Couldn't open the bedroom window more than 2cms. Bathroom good size, didn't like having a shower curtain. Bathroom toiletries rather sparse. Bar area had no relaxing arm chairs. No lounge area. Felt the hotel had untapped potential. It was rather like walking back into the 70s. Desperately needs an update. Felt it's more of a corporate hotel than relaxing spa for return visits.
Great location and staff - in particular Gary
Dated rooms, very poor wifi signal, and very over priced 70s dinner menu.
Have stayed here many times before, either to break up a journey to Cornwall or visiting Dorset.Comfortable rooms, plenty of parking spaces, good food and of course the views from the restaurant.
WI-FI connection a bit hit and miss.
The staff were exceptional particularly the staff in the dining area. Situation was stunning. Room was clean and perfectly adequate for two of us.
No shelf in bathroom to put wash bag etc, and towels were too high up for my 5' 4" height!
great views from the restaurant.
I was expecting some extra value from this room at £150 per night, the web site advertised fruit in the room, a turn down service was also promoted, either i had misread the deluxe room benefits or the hotel hadnt bothered. The chrome around the shower head and shower taps was also not clean, water and scale marks, as though it had not been cleaned.
The bar meals were excellent, and very good value. All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but nevertheless perhaps a little overpriced. A big car park and nearby excellent bus service made travel easy.
The room cleaner's visit could have been better timed - she was trying (and failing) to do it while we were at breakfast. We would have preferred that she had waited half an hour or so until we were out. The lift was very ineffective and I pity anyone who was dependent on it.
the position of the hotel it was clean and the staff were pleasant. the breakfast was great, will stop there again when looking to stay in weymouth
View. Position. Parking. Bar.
Bed too soft. Not much to dislike
Room furnishings in very good condition but all a bit 1980's
Location and views Food Ample parking
Lack of air conditioning to cope with high humidity - most evident in ground floor bedrooms. Tricky exit from car park
views and lovely breakfast
Nice bed, good range for breakfast, good location. Staff friendly and helpful.
Hotel dated would benefit from some updating.
The food was excellent & staff were very helpful.
The room was to dark,to much brown decor & the bed was uncomfortable.I found stains on my robe & at breakfast my husband went to use his napkin only to find it was covered in stains.I asked the waitress to change it which she did. This actually put us off our food.
Location and food of the restaurant was excellent. Watching the sunset on a nice warm evening. Walks on the cliffs lovely.
When I arrived the swimming pool was out of action which I found very disappointing.
