Good central location short walk from sea front.
The very small bathroom, could have done with bath being removed and replaced by a shower.
Flexible meal times was a big advantage to us when organising our days out. Nice dining room; the buffet style meals were very good. The en-suite facilities were also very good - nice to have a bath.
Poor quality tea-bags both in the bedroom, and dining room. Room adequate, but would have preferred a brighter room.
Nice spacious rooms. Food good. Cheap hotel.
Bed to hard. Couldnt sleep there was to much nouse at nite outside .
location, cost, clean and good breakfast.
the Hotel is in need off updating the reception is in desperate need of some tlc .
The staff on main desk were helpful
needs to Barman in cocktail loungeneefs to be more friendly. Had to move rooms because of nightclub noise
The location was great for us right on Lord street and close to everything The staff were very helpful
The twin bedded room had the smallest bathroom I had ever seen with hardly any spare floor space, it was a good job we were on the smaller size The whole room was very small Breakfast was disappointing and often dried up
I think it is in a very good location and I did like the fact there was a pub, bar & arcade, so something for everyone. The room was a decent size.
The only thing that I didn't like was the nights sleep as the mattress was hard and also had a spring poking through it and unfortunately a good nights sleep is the main thing.
Some of the staff were abrupt, no phone in the room, dining room too small to seat all, swipe cards wouldn't open our door (not stored near mobile phone), shower stopped working.
Our stay was extended by being able to leave our luggage so we could stay in Southport a few hours longer.
Wafer thin mattress on the bed
The bedrooms were very old. Bed very uncomfortable. Bathroom dirty and shower didn't work. They didn't clean our room in the 2nd night.
The location -
Lumpy matress, noisy with night club downstairs, old blood stains on duvet cover
The shower, the food at breakfast, the location
Having to make own cup of tea at breakfast, only one tea bag each in room, only one bedside cabinet, small tv.
Asked for double room and got 2beds pushed together, the room smelt
Getting my money back and leaving
The whole experiance within the hotel
Poor nights sleep !
Food was good
The front bar facing Lord Street The room size was good The breakfast was good
Shabby entry area and reception The noisy bars in the back at ground level of the hotel Noise levels outside and in after midnight
Noisy, noisy, noisy and poor decoration. Carpet was ripped - not great for women who wear heels!
standard single room was spotless
breakfast and evening meal was a cattle market. The standard of catering was very very poor.
Location right in the middle of the town didn't need to use the car to get around. Breakfast was good. Price was excellent
room clean and comfortable hotel décor very nice barman very pleasant and helpful. entertainment enjoyable .
food no variation not warm enough. reception staff unwelcoming. restaurant staff very surly but over worked.Car parking at the hotel is appalling and to be charge at your sister hotel is disgraceful .very noisy no sleep on a Saturday night.
