Bridge House, Beaminster3, Prout Bridge, DT8 3AY Beaminster (Show map) Excellent, Score from 10 reviews“The hotel was perfect for the location. We had booked a Coach House room, but were upgraded to Rm. 7 in the main hotel building. The hotel common areas were very attractive and comfortable. Room was very nicely furnished and had a large bathroom, but had a tub with temperamental hand held shower.”
Sam,
Bend
Set in the heart of beautiful Beaminster (Hardy's Emminster) and surrounded by stunning countryside, this 700 year-old former priest’s house is steeped in history and character. With crackling log fires in centuries-old inglenook stoves, stone mullioned windows, oak beams and candles, here you can relax without fuss or hurry in an environment that is both ancient and modern. While the building may be medieval, its interior and facilities are entirely up to date. Refurbished public areas, new bathrooms throughout and investment in new technology, such as Wi-Fi, ensure the Bridge House is firmly in the 21st century while maintaining the hotel’s stunning original features. Within easy reach of Dorset's fossil paradise, the Jurassic Coast, during your stay you can explore many sites of natural beauty, including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis. Hotel Rooms: 14

Very relaxed and comfortable with friendly and attentive staff. Lovely bedding and towels. The food was of a consistently high standard and kept us eating at the hotel despite previous plans to eat elsewhere on Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. The shower was not as powerful as I would have liked. No view of the garden as indicated in the description.

The hotel was perfect for the location. We had booked a Coach House room, but were upgraded to Rm. 7 in the main hotel building. The hotel common areas were very attractive and comfortable. Room was very nicely furnished and had a large bathroom, but had a tub with temperamental hand held shower. We would have preferred a full shower. Restaurant was fabulous. Dined there both nights that we stayed and had friends join us. Everyone raved about their meals. Breakfast was very nice also. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Proper hotel. Vernieuwde badkamer. Ligt in dorpscenter. Het hotel was de prijs helemaal niet waard. Keuze voor het ontbijt redelijk goed maar alles veel te vet. Hebben niet in restaurant gegeten.
