Location of Hotel.
Got charged the wrong price. Booked through Booking.com at £76.50 got charged £85.00 at Hotel. Asked for a refund but no response form the Hotel to date and looks like I will not get a response.
Location cleanliness and very friendly staff
The drinks at the bar were expensive
The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful; the food exquisite.
Rooms, décor and facilities within the rooms substandard and definitely not as indicated on the website
big room facilities good close to town centre friendly staff
there were two empty bottles left in top cupboard
Good location Free Parking
The room was outdated The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together which made for quite an uncomfortable night. No in room menu so had to guess what we wanted to for breakfast. Asked for toast which was not provided. No information provided on how to use wifi
the staff are so trust worthy and can hold a decent conversation going.. The bar is open 24 hour and have a Nice selection of drink!! Very pleased with my stay!!
Good was pretty good and location was fine ideal for access to local restaurants and facilities.
Bed had seen better days and overall the hotel looks tired. Staff were generally helpful although Eastern European waitresses were not overly engaging..
Staff really friendly. Lots to see and do.
Nothing but the wall paper is upside down in the bedroom!
Excellent food and helpful staff lovely location
Great friendly hotel
The price room not good value for money stayed in better half the price
Size of room and bathroom
No lift! Lots of stairs when situated on the top floor!
Receptionist and assistant were very helpful, polite and friendly. We were upgraded to a different room when we complained. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very attentive. The hotel itself is very inviting with a nice bar and excellent parking. We would definitely book here again even though we experienced a few problems.
Our first room was near the kitchen/conference room and all we could hear was the clattering of pots, pans etc and foul language from the kitchen staff hence the upgrade. This room was very hot but we were able to open the window, at least it was not cold! The bathroom had no slip mat in the bath or handle to hold onto to get in/out of the bath/shower so you had to hold onto the glass shower door which is very dangerous.
Good helpful staff, fast wifi, location, breakfast.
Bed mattresses were horrible and tired. Queen bed was the smallest I've seen, feet were out of bed, and I'm 6ft. Need urgent review of rooms, especially the Standard Double Rooms. Changed three rooms in two nights as a result.
Excellent food, and very friendly and helpful staff
Bar and atmosphere
The food was good. As was the service and the location.
We booked a superior room at a provisional cost of £90. The rooms were advertised as recently refurbished. I discovered the refurb took place a couple of years ago when I complained about the standard of the room upon checkout. The 'bed' (2 singles pushed together from what I could see) was very uncomfortable & I suffered a bad back for the next 24 hours. There was a large stain on the carpet by the door & several scuff marks on the walls (room 6). Overall, it just wasn't worth £90 or to be classed as a superior room in my opinion. To be fair, when I did complain, management did take £20 off the bill. So, I ended up paying £70 which made the whole experience slightly more palatable. However, we were both still very disappointed & wont be staying here again.
Location was OK and the Guy at reception was helpful when I'd forgotten my iPad
The decoration is tired, the bar unwelcoming. Our friends had a leak in their ceiling and a very uncomfortable bed. Our window wouldn't close so it was draughty.
Staff were superb, friendly and helpful. Shower was lovely, powerful and hot. Bedroom well stocked and looked nice. Breakfast very good with a choice of something more than a cooked breakfast.
Delay finding key for room was slightly worrying as New Years' Eve!! Bed dipped in middle, built in between two walls, slightly claustrophobic. Toilet position very tight next to sink. Parking was tight
Staff were really friendly, liked the decor of the hotel and its character. Nice spacious room and comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely although we did have to make our own toast.
Bedroom window was extremely hard to shut. No info on wifi in room. TV signal came and went. Hot tap in sink turned on the wrong way. All these are little things that could be improved to make it perfect.
the attentive staff, the excellent location in the centre of elegant Leamington, the small friendly scale of the hotel, the nearness to bus stops, the cleanliness, the newspapers to read downstairs, the decor, the very good evening meal... a home from home.
No porridge was available on our second morning. The loo in our bathroom didn't flush as easily as I'd have liked, it was difficult to close and open the bedroom window.
