Everything! Very well thought out apartment. The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast package perfect and everything required for the kitchen use there! Would definitely stay again.
The glass in shower a bit short and therefore had to be careful about the floor getting wet.
The independance. A comfortable apartment with Wi-Fi and the possibility to park the car. Staff very kind and helpful.
A suggestion : Put the panel "Uplands Apartments" beside the one "Uplands Drive" and not at the end of the side road so that it can be seen from the main road.
We really liked the appartment: it was very clean and in a good condition. For cooking I appreciated the good quality of the pots and pans and the powerful oven.
After staying in a caravan the previous week The Uplands was a welcome change as it is a spacious one bed apartment over two floors. The accommodation was lovely and clean and was cleaned during our stay with fresh linen and towels provided.
There is no garden or outdoor furniture so it was restricted in that the children had nowhere to play on site. However we made the most of the day outside so for us this was not a huge issue.
Location free and easy parking reliable wifi
Cot provided for baby wasn't adequate as had no mattress
liked everything about the apartment
no street lighting leading from main road to apartments.Street lighting required
Was perfect for us . Central location ,clean and so homely. Beds were very comfortable and all 6 of us ( 2 adults and 4 young children ) had a fantastic nights sleep every night. Great kitchen facilities . Lovely large TV . Wifi was good 90% of the time . We only used the apartment which is like a small house for tea , sleep and breakfast. We would highly recommend this especially to families .. Parking right outside the front door ! Maid services every few days was also great. Made our visit to Jersey even more pleasurable
The only thing was that it is on a steep hill so we didn't walk from the apartment as have 4 young children ( we had our car with us )
Clean Convenient location Parking space outside Good base to explore the island
WiFi worked intermittently
Good size & clean apartment, nice grounds though nowhere to sit/ eat outside. Unfortunately no views of coast or town as in a (nice)built up area. Good location for exploring Jersey - hire car recommended as at top of steep hill. 10 min walk into town centre. Had a problem finding second bed - it folds down out of cupboard in lounge! Comfortable though. Duty manager very quick to respond to any requests.
Very spacious and clean and within walking distance of town. The 'sofa' bed actually pulled out of the wardrobe, which was tricky to find but much more comfy than the average sofa bed! Use of the pool facilities in sister hotels was fabulous. Great TV and good wifi except when it dropped out. Separate kitchen with good cooking facilities (though we didn't use them much). This is a great apartment and I would definitely use it again if returning to Jersey.
Wifi was bit unreliable at times and access to staff was by phone. This was a bit of a pain as I didn't have a Jersey-friendly mobile.
The apartment was very clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped and surroundings were peaceful. It had a very homely feel. A little dated but general comfort and ambiance more than made up for this. The staff were friendly and very helpful. A car would definitely be an advantage here as apartments are a good walk from the centre of town. All in all, a super place to stay,
We didn' t like that there was no outside space equipped with maybe patio table and chairs. The weather was beautiful during our stay and it would have been good to eat outside. Sitting room window to rear could have become patio doors we felt, for access to outside space.
Apartments are very clean.
Too far out of town to walk back on an evening, very steep hill to climb. No where to sit outside the apartment if you want a quiet drink. No facilities in the apartment for drying a few essentials, an airer would be useful. The use of other hotels is included when booking, but nothing in the apartment to tell you anything about this, or where the hotels are. No double glazing, can be noisy first thing in a morning, don't expect a lie in.
Having easy parking and a very comfortable bed.
Wi fi was too sporadic. The kitchen equipment was a bit sparce and of poor quality. No covered casserole, no cafetiere and no mugs.
Clean, Spacious, everything you need for a self catering/ cottage holiday
The big hill which it sits on. To be fair it isn't really an issue we walked it several times a day
we had a great stay, lovely towels replaced every day, safes now in apartments, will stay again.
Excellent attention to detail the cot was in place for my baby and the highchair as soon as we walked in the manager came and personally introduced himself all round excellent
Beds excellent. Directions to get to the property and key access.
The property was unsafe. Electrical appliances were too close to the sink for safety - nowhere else to plug in, in the kitchen. Hot water was dangerously hot. Shower was dangerous in that the bathmat was sliding down the bath. Wife had an accident getting into the bath and was badly bruised and shaken up. Reported to Norfolk Lodge Hotel. Lack of outside seating space even though a grass area was right outside the property - it was not accessible so that you could have a cup of tea outside in the sunshine. Lack of kitchen equipment. Long walk up/down hill to the town taking about 25 minutes.
Arrived to a very helpful cleaning lady who helped us with the key to the apartment. The apartment was very well equipted with a full pint of milk and bottle of water in the fridge, a couple of boxes of cereal and plenty tea / coffee sachets. Enought to get you started. There is also a very well stocked shop a 2 min walk away (turn left at the entrance to the apartments on the main road, cross the road and walk up past the pet shop then go to the right) which is open till around 9.30pm. Beds were comfortable and the shower was very good. Made use of the wifi which was excellent. A Useful information folder was provided, make sure you read it! A 20 min downhill walk to St Helier but why bother when the bus stop is directly across the road and the number 19 runs at 20 past the hour into St Helier Bus Station for £1.30. There are plenty of parking bays at the apartments if you have a car. All in all a really pleasant stay here, quiet, exceptionally clean, friendly staff, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and would stay here again.
Decor is a bit dated but apart from that I can't fault it.
In particular the cleanliness, good quality furniture (if a bit old fashioned), useful little kitchenette, good bathroom and roominess for a 1 bedroom apartment. This is a no-fuss way to spend a holiday without parking problems in a pleasant and airy complex. Some people may find this a little far from the main center but we are walkers so it suited us. Going left out of the driveway, past the Secondary School there's a lovely Jersey "Green Lane" walk with the famous Jersey Cows to keep you company. The center of St Helier (turn right) is reached via steps and is 25 minutes each way but once you find the back routes, it's a pleasant stroll but a bit energetic climbing those steps on the way back. There's a small grocery less than 5 mins away that has a lot of Waitrose branded products.
Only real gripe is the wi-fi which was weak at the best of times and failed twice although it was fixed as soon as we notified management. The Router seems to be some way from our Apt (No2) and the signal is stronger on the car park than in the building. It would have been nice to be able to sit somewhere outside at times but since we knew this wasn't on offer, we can't complain.
Apartments were excellent. Everything available for your arrival. Excellent service from staff. Would return again.
A fair walk into town - About 20 mins but enjoyable if weather good.
The flat have all the appliances and furniture that you need. Enough for a long weekend.
Is not one available if you need to solve a problem or have an extra request, the contact is through phone or mail and for a weekend that may no be a suitable situation.
spacious room and lounge. bathroom and shower are good.
Wi Fi very poor connection.
The maid was very helpful when we arrived. She retrieved the key to the apartment for us. If she had not been there I think we would have struggled with this. The apartment was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable.
The apartments are quite a long walk to the centre of St Helier. The journey out is downhill and ok but coming back it is a steep uphill climb. There are no places near to the apartments to have a drink or a meal. There is no outside space at the apartments if the weather is ok.
