Upper Ansdore Bed and BreakfastDuckpit Road, Petham, CT4 5QB Waltham (Show map) Good, Score from 24 reviews“Clean and simple. Freindly. Rural location. Free WIFI”
Ian,
Wood Street Village, Guildford
Upper Ansdore is a small medieval farmhouse in a very quiet valley with wonderful views, yet only 6 miles from Canterbury. Get from the chain hotels and hustle of life, and try a short break in this beautiful part of the Kentish countryside. The hotel serves locally sourced bacon and eggs. Bedrooms have exposed beams, and some offer beautiful views out over the valley, woods and surrounding fields . Hotel Rooms: 4

A lovely b&b set in the English countryside. A welcome relief to get away from noise!. We had a lovely night there and the hosts recommended an excellent pub for dinner. Breakfast was great and the family were very welcoming.

Beautiful house and very beautiful location. Friendly help with planning a walk was appreciated as was freedom to come and go and arrive in late. Good supply of hot water. Good windows opening easily for ventilation. Very pleasant well kept garden. Room was a bit small as a double. Only room for one chair and as far as we could understand no sitting room. It would have been a big improvement if the breakfast area had been available so that I could have 'escaped' while my husband dressed and vice versa. Also when one of us had difficulty sleeping there was no where to go to read and let the other have peace. (I understand of course that there are limitations in an old house that is a private home - not least security.) Shower was a bit too small for a curtain. ' Stick to bum syndrome'. If what I say sounds picky it is because you ask. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and it was very good value for the area. Being out in the depth of the country was a joy!!

Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Owners were very welcoming. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel as it was at the end of a long single track road. Once found it was fine

Very peaceful countryside, no traffic noise. Adequate for a couple of nights stay. Noise from the room next to the one we stayed in, thin walls! Would probably request a different room if we stayed again.

This is a lovely 15th century country house with beautiful views of the Kent countryside, not far from Canterbury. We loved that it was out of the way, but if you're looking for a convenience, this isn't for you. Our room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was good, although be warned that it is not included in your booking price. The family who owned the house were all very courteous and helpful. The shower inexplicably cut off in the middle of washing up.

The setting was lovely No warm welcome, purely a business venture. Lack of facilities such as clock, radio/TV, Nowhere to sit other than the bed. Inflexible regarding breakfast. Not value for money.

Heel mooie ligging, huis met karakter, vriendelijke ontvangst, lekker ontbijt. Familiekamer was nogal klein, badkamer idem. Beschrijving veroorzaakte verwarring: die zei o.a. 'enkel bed en stapelbed' maar het bleek dat het enkel bed het onderste was van het stapelbed en dat het bovenste deel daarvan alleen voor heel kleine kinderen bruikbaar was.

Mooie omgeving, rustig en landelijk. De kamers zijn niet erg groot maar erg verzorgd en netjes. Ontbijt was prima, keuze uit Engels of eventueel een ander ontbijt naar wens.

Situation et accès particulièrement dépaysants. English breakfast de qualité.
