The staff were more than helpful with a smile always on their faces Room was high standard and very clean, could not fault. Food was amazing.
Piped music in dinning room.
Friendly, Relaxing , Always made to feel like one of the family...Love stay as always
Would stay again friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice modern decor good location. Fab breakfast
Great staff (Lee) great service, food very good, good choice on menu. Nice bar area. great views, good parking. easy to find on dark. Nice lounge with fire. Very cosy.
Small double bedroom with small toilet. No bedside table on one side. Steep staircase but staff prepared to carry items upstairs. Our daughter had a much better room and she was a single guest.
Everything - what else is there to say
The location originally drew my attention, the welcome was very professional yet welcoming. Hosts, food and service where all far more than you'd expect from a place priced as it is. Will be returning very soon.
Immaculate room. Excellent food and real ale Fast and strong wifi Excellent staff
Heating was off from 2300 to 0600 so room got a little chilly on a December night, though good quality double glazing meant it didn't get too bad.
Log burner in a cosy lounge area Fabulous food
Attentive and friendly staff. Perfectly cooked breakfast. Dinner also delicious, I had steak and it melted in my mouth...Proper chips too. Nice room and shower, all spotless and tidied every morning. Will stay again when in area.
The staff and food were very good.
They need better extractor fans in the kitchen as you can smell old food as y enter the building. The dining room and bar do not smell.
The staff, the comfort, it has a real homely feel about the place and loved having a nightcap or two sitting by the log burner in the entrance 'snug' as I would call it. Will be making this my permanent place to stay when visiting my office just a short drive away. The food is first class and well priced.
can't think of anything at all!
Very welcoming friendly owners. food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent and some good beer! Pleasant lounge areas to sit and read in comfort. will book again when in the area.
Only stayed one night!
Location, comfort, friendliness, food to name but a few!
All good, so no comment.
The breakfast was very good. My room was very nice. Shower excellent.
The location, the accommodation, the food and the friendly staff are all excellent.
The availability of the restaurant is not always a certainty especially when functions are being held.
Attractive location in Peak District, vety friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
Quite some traffic in the morning, our bedroom facing the road.
Loved everything! Made me feel very welcome & nothing was too much trouble! Gluten free breakfast was awesome!!!!
The staff were very welcoming and helpful as we were not familiar to the area. Will be returning
This is the cleanest friendliest place that we have ever stayed in. We were so impressed back in January, that we rebooked without hesitation. And will continue to do so.
Nothing. It's absolutely spot-on! Don't change a thing!!
Welcomed with a pot of tea and biscuits/cake. Big comfy leather chairs and sofas in a quiet room to relax on a very wet afternoon. Very attentive and friendly staff. Excellent food.
Everything was perfect no dislikes at all.
Everything was clean and fresh. Lee was very welcoming and proficient and the location is ideal for the area.
We arrived after a difficult first day on the Pennine Way we arrived at the Windy Harbour Hotel to a very warm welcome. We were shown to our very clean room and given fresh milk for tea. We asked about food and were told they didn't serve dinner on Sunday evenings (disaster!) but the chef was still there so they asked him to stay on a bit and we had a fantastic meal. The breakfast was really nice too.
Everything. Before I booked I read previous reviews which said it was fabulous and it didn't let me down in any way. Very nice friendly owners. looking forward to my next visit.
If you are wanting to stay in the Glossop area head for WHFH,lovely family owned business, the owners couldn't do enough to make my stay with then enjoyable, i had to work late before I checked in at 2230,they still managed to make me a lovely ploughman's plate for my evening meal at that time of night.Lovely room into the bargain. EXCELLENT.
