Very helpful at providing an earlier breakfast prior to a local coach trip. In a quiet street and within walking distance of the Minster.

We had a very warm welcome when we first arrived, the staff were very friendly and were really helpful with advice and tips about york. The room was very clean, The location was brill, as it is on a really quiet road and a mere 10 min walk into the centre of york. The breakfast was great which made a lovely start to the day. The bed was creaky which did disturb sleep a bit and there wasn't alot of lighting, also it would have been better for us if check out was a bit later. However, the good did outweigh the bad and it really was a truly enjoyable stay.

Room small but ideal for weekend break. Plenty of hot water. Clean tidy. Staff courteous. Pleasant service. Personal opinion - room was too warm during the night. Didn't like the sausage at breakfast - cheap plastic pink sausages, again personal opinion.

I enjoyed my stay at the guest house, brilliant location. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately though on the night we stayed the room next door had left an alarm clock buzzing for about 3-4 hours so that ruined the night slightly. One thing that sells a b&b for me is the breakfast...i must say it doesn't take much to invest in good quality sausages & bacon....just a thought.

Clean bathroom, pity it wasn't en-suite Central Heating was on which made the room really hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. And 8:30-9:30 is really early for breakfast on the weekend.

the room was very nice and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Warm plates for the cooked breakfast would be nice. The food was good. Only problem was going down stairs at night to the toilet! Not a big problem however. Would recommend the place to friends.

The breakfast and service was very good. The one thing I did not like about Bootham City Centre Guest House was there was no Lift. Just lots of stairs. Also that there was no Lounge Area were you could sit and relax after a long day of walking around the city area. I would only recommend this guest house to young people.

I accidentally booked for the wrong night and when we turned up they were so good about my error. Thankfully there was a room available. It had an ensuite, which would have put the price up but they graciously let us have the room for the non-ensuite price. The walls are woefully thin and the man next door could have woken the dead with his snoring. Thankfully, we are heavy sleepers!
