Location was beautiful, ran by a friendly family who were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more, excellent food and value for money. Would go again and recommend.

    Was nothing to dislike.

Very friendly place to stay. Lovely having breakfast at the big farmhouse kitchen table and chatting. Very comfortable room with beautiful views over the fields!

Unfortunately the people staying in the room next door had a very noisy dog, which they left for a while, but I'm not sure what could have been done about this!

The accomodation and the welcome. The breakfast was also excellent.

Location a little bit inconvenient but the setting made up for that.

Very spacious room, with large picture windows overlooking green paddocks , with white sheep and stone fences. Delightful hosts; helpful directions and information; tasty cooked breakfast in family kitchen. Just the spot to research family history in the area

Room was exceptionally spacious as we had a one year old toddler with us Bathroom was huge for the three of us Breakfasts were to die for, freshly prepared and Simon, Phillips and Lara were so so welcoming to the farm on arrival. They couldn't do enough for you The situation of the farmhouse and how peaceful it was The comfortable beds Plenty of hot water We loved every minute of our stay with Phillipa, Simon and the family and we will repeat it again very soon to escape the nature of the beast which is near city living See you all soon

Phillipa and Simon were very welcoming and friendly and the room had a superb view and a very comfy bed . We had huge breakfasts in morning. Will definitely stay again when visiting friends in nearby Moniaive.

Mirror on the wall in our room was too low on the wall

This was perfect for me. 1. A large bedroom and bathroom in a separate building from the main farmhouse, so lovely and quiet and private. 2. Very friendly host with a superb breakfast. 3. The location is very quiet and fairly remote being some distance down a narrow lane/road. 4. After a long day's cycling I slept like a log in a large and comfy bed. 5. The bathroom has a bath with plenty of hot water!!

I loved this place, but apparently it has proven to be too remote for some. Be aware that it is some 10 miles from Dumfries and a good few miles to find anywhere to eat. So turn up fully fed, or bring along your own snacks to see you thro' the night.

This was our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The B&B is such a peaceful place, perfect for getting away from it all. It was especially good to be able to take our dog who had a fab time with Cassie and Murphy.
