Room was so small couldn't have more than two people in room otherwise it would be over crowded. Room was freezing cold & when my partner asked how we put heating on in room where told it didn't come on till 5 . Had 2 buy a hot water bottle. I had 2 use a spoon 2 get plug out of sink coz it was wedged in . One of the cups had a spoon tht had been used stuck to the cup .The lighting in room was rather dim
Staff really made my stay a pleasant one. Very friendly and knowledgeable.would Def stay again
nice staff very helpfull
breakfast very poor for money
Location and friendliness of staff,no charge for dog,he was welcomed by staff and easy to exercise. Room was small but very warm and cosy for December visit, also very clean. We also liked the option of not having breakfast which meant we could get up at our leisure, nobody hassled us to.get in room, and made the stay a very economic one. Liked code to get in main door after 10.30.
Key in room door hard to operate but may just have been us
Decor cleanlinest (especially bathroom) excellent staff breakfast,
Only stayed for 15 hours, during which time I did not find anything. perhaps a longer stay would have revealed something, definitely a few notches above Premier Inn's, and ten's of notches better than Travelodge.
Just a painting in the room
Guy at reception was stupid, heating starts at 5:00pm upon asking at 2:00 he replied that go "under the duvet".no hot water for shawer upon asking he replied that I don't want to argue, either you have a shawer is staff room or you check out.very near to no where, will never stay again even if it's for free, highly not recommended!!!
Didn't like the fact that the room was freezing because of an open window when arriving and the radiator didn't work A lot of banging at the early hours in the morning, loud enough to wake you. There was also a worker outside my window before 9AM scraping at the outside of it
Pleasant staff, licensed bar, reasonable price
Few bits needing attention i.e. bathroom tap loose.
good value for money.
bed linen had to be changed, bottom sheet not clean.
poor décor. The TV did not work. Poor Internet connection. The shower doors would not close. The bathroom /shower room had bad smell all the time. The carpets had holes.
No where to eat local in the evenings.
Area, Price, Shower, friendly staff
The room (window can`t close, lamp not runs, no space for luggage, the very small TV
It's less than 20 minutes from Edinburgh airport by car. This makes the hotel ideal for anyone with an early morning flight who wants to stay close to the airport overnight to avoid waking up even earlier. The price of the hotel is much cheaper than other hotels closer to the airport.
The quality wasn't like in a large "chain hotel" (e.g. small bathroom and water pressure in the shower rather weak), but it was satisfactory given the good price. Also, the hotel is across the Forth Road bridge from the airport, which may close in windy or wintery weather. So you need to watch the forecast and weather warnings as the diversion is ~1hr drive.
Breakfast not great
Bed comfortable powerful shower Staff friendly and polite
Room too small for two people Servicing of room was poor Shower tray dirty General smell of damp in hotel Car parking very limited
the two staff we met were very pleasant and helpful.breakfast was ok though a sausage would have been good aswell as egg and bacon.
the room we had (family room) was cold due to a window that was broken so wind blew in all night and something banged on the roof..
staff were very helpful, good selection of food for continental breakfast and very quiet location.
lack of cooked meals especially including a full cooked breakfast. even though the staff member who was on duty was very helpful he seemed to be left to multi task at all times
Location was ok, American receptionist by was very polite of the first evening.
Bed was rock hard, small and very uncomfortable. Rom was tiny, like a cell. Sheet was grey and only one flat pillow. TV had no remote, breakfast very very poor, no service, no instructions to help yourself.
Easy access to shops and trains. Only 20mins from EDI airport.
Comfy beds and a relaxed easy going atmosphere
Reasonable price and dog friendly. Close to Inverkeithing Station for travelling into Edinburgh. Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms in need of refurbishment and some quite small even for a budget hotel.
1st room we got the lock didn't work (moved to another) which had no heating in the room. Both rooms still had rubbish left from previous occupants. Breakfast....£2.50 for cereal and toast or extra £3 for cooked breakfast consisting of bacon and eggs :-((
I had a perfect time with my friends there. I totaly recomand!!!
access to near transport , e.g train , bus
location , takes to long to get to the center city Edinburgh , no taxis around and if any taxi available it's too expensive to get to the city . Also info provided about the distance from airport to/from this hotel is wrong (9 km)
