Easy access to shops and trains. Only 20mins from EDI airport.
Comfy beds and a relaxed easy going atmosphere
Reasonable price and dog friendly. Close to Inverkeithing Station for travelling into Edinburgh. Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms in need of refurbishment and some quite small even for a budget hotel.
I had a perfect time with my friends there. I totaly recomand!!!
access to near transport , e.g train , bus
location , takes to long to get to the center city Edinburgh , no taxis around and if any taxi available it's too expensive to get to the city . Also info provided about the distance from airport to/from this hotel is wrong (9 km)
Location, parking, tea and coffee in room,
Very noisy resedents both above and next door, noise until 0150hrs. Door very hard to open due to lock not being secure. Shower head spraying water due to rubber seal being US. No bed side light to read by.
poor breakfast :(
tv too small not enough sockets
I liked everthing
I go to Scotland 2 - 3 times a year to visit family, and this hotel was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in while visiting. Rooms were pretty plain with a private bathroom but what more do you need once it is clean. Staff could not have been nicer and very helpful in particular one young man.
Value for money. Close to the station with regular trains to Edinburgh.
Triple Room was small.
the slightest movement in the bed made so much noise it woke me up every time I turned in my sleep the towels in the shower room were dirty
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
It was not that close to the city.
the area, the room and the staff were helpful
I lost my eating in the room. I asked the person responsible if he found it. he said so far he have not got anything and he will inform me later even if I'm gone. I'm still waiting he never called me back. I'm 100% sure its there because i wore it in the room and when came downstairs it as not in my ear. everybody were in the car waiting for me so i did not went in the room agin to look for it. I still hope i will get it. thank you.
Tiny bedroom, décor straight from the 70's.
Staff friendly and polite
Room 23 1- Had to boil kettle on floor because lead not long enough to go from kettle on unit to socket. 2- Shower head had black mould on it, asked for it to be cleaned to no avail. And also mould round bottom of shower cubicle. COULD NOT SHOWER IN THIS. 3- Bin emptied on the Monday but floor not hoovered. 4- 13amp socket under unit would not switch off to enable me to unplug something. 5- Noise from water appliances eg-: Showers, taps and toilets in other rooms horrendous. 6- Early morning, (6.30am) lot of noise from somebody moving something about in room above room 23 in preparation for alleged repairs. 7- Room is damp and dank to say the least. Never been aired ready for occupation. 8- Paint coming off bottom of toilet door with damp.
Small but friendly hotel.
Distance from Edinburgh. Tiny ensuite bathroom. Very basic breakfast.
Flexibility of personal, we came in very late, they left the key and instructions for as at the dest. Bathroom was fine.
Not nice smelling room, old furniture, dark. Would never come back.
Nothing- genuinely awful
Dogs in the hotel whining and barking Filthy rooms Showers with mould and mildew Stained towels Creaking bed that was so uncomfortable Bed right next to a red hot radiator so any chance of sleep and you got burnt Poor lighting TV didn't work Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy
Bathroom looked like it had been recently up graded.
Rooms small and not like any of the photos seen on the website, only one plug or could charge phone make tea or watch tv at same time. Very noise due to thin walls and doors, beds very noise every time you moved it creaked like it was about to fall apart. Spider weds on cealing, glad I didn't pay full price £89 for room as I don't think its worth it.
accommodation available at short notice short walk from local station and 747 bus to the airport.
Overpriced budget accommodation. This place is obviously run on a shoestring with the minimum of effort put in to provide for basic needs. Lighting is poor, rooms are small and I had the sense of being in a prison cell. the whole place feels dilapidated and the tiny shower room smelt damp. The television didn't work, though to be fair I was able to move to another equally horrible room where the television did work. I don't demand a lot from budget accommodation but knowing that there are lovely places available for the same price, why would anyone ever stay here, other than in the circumstances that I was in when I needed something at short notice and this was available.
Bedding and hall entrance were beautiful. Wardrobe space was nice.
Corridoors with unfinished paintwork, old fashioned cheap doors into rooms. TV holder hanging off wall so couldnt aim tv at the bed. Bed was set up against the wall because there was not enough space around the room. Room felt tiny with a small window and the lights were dim and didnt all work.
The young man working was fantastic, very hardworking and very pleasant.
The bed was very uncomfortable for us, I suffer with back problems and god bed was far to hard no sleep all night x
I only stayed for one night with 3 other adults. We used this hotel as a stop off point on our way to the Highlands. The room was clean, spacious and we had a conservatory. Shops/restaurants and takeaways were very close. I would stay there again.
The shower could have been bigger The conservatory could have done with more light Blinds in the bathroom
