Windermere
This family-run budget hotel is conveniently located close to Edinburgh and next to the Forth Road Bridge and the Forth Rail Bridge; Rosyth is only a few minutes away. The hotel is close to the ferry terminal and is only 550 yards or so from Inverkeithing station. A bus runs regularly between the station and Edinburgh Airport. Trains also run frequently to the city of Edinburgh itself. Kinross is only 20 minutes away, making the hotel a great base for those attending the T in the Park music festival. As reflected in the price, the hotel’s rooms are not large. However, all of the rooms have private bathrooms and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel’s public areas and there is also free parking. Hotel Rooms: 28

The hotel is very well situated and caters for everyones needs, it is only a short distance from beach and seaside facilities, country side walks, city shopping and historical sites. The staff are very friendly and make you feel really welcome, there is ample car parking facilities at the hotel and the decking area outside offers the chance to sit in peaceful surroundings in the evening. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, be it for business or pleasure

Staff was helpful. There was no heat the first night and we froze then the second night they brought us a heater. Also, I paid in pounds at the desk when we left and looked at my credit card transactions today and was charged the day we arrived not the day we left also. Now I have to call and get the charges reversed when I specifically asked him not to charge my card. This hotel was also really far from Edinburgh and cost almost 30 pounds to get to from Edinburgh airport. Staff was pretty friendly but I would never stay at this hotel again.

Convenient location and very reasonable price Very cheap and cheerful budget accommodation where all you need is somewhere to lay your head for a night. You'll need to be up and about early to catch the hot water though !!!!

Excellent welcome, and staff. Room was small and basic but comfortable. Recently refurbished, but finishing touches still need to be done (I.e paint on the back of the bathroom door, and silicone on the tiles etc). But overall a great place to stay, would deffinatly stay again P.s breakfast was good too

It was convenient to the Edinburgh airport. The desk clerk was pleasant. The room was clean, but the building was generally run down. It was incredibly overpriced for what it is. At 106 pounds, it was shockingly poor value for money. It is old and threadbare. The beds were extremely uncomfortable - we got very little sleep. My son complained of springs sticking him all over his bed. The hotel is located in a residential area in a town that has seen better days.

the hotel is about 10 min walk from rail station. Very convenient to travel to city side. Nice location to stay which is quiet and hassle free. Staff very co-operative to help you at any time. They should improve their internet services which is too slow.
