Although basic, the bedding was clean and so were the towels. The food was excellent and good size portions. The en-suite bathroom was a little tatty but it all worked. The communial bathrooms were excellent. |

The hotel owners are very friendly, as are the locals who use the bar. The surrounding area is very nice and quiet. The hotel also serves excellent food. This hotel is a great choice if you are on a budget and don't mind being just outside of the centre of Plymouth - just beaware of the shortcomings listed below. No soap or shampoo for the shower room (which is unsual in my experience). New towels were not provided each day, and the radiators were not on so ours were damp for the next 2 days. WiFi does not work despite the claim that it is provided, the reception is too poor to access the local provided network (not provided by the hotel)... However, the hotel owner did allow us to use his home pc which |
