Loved the ambience, the food the service
The bed was a little too firm
Lovely setting, nice rooms, breakfast was excellent and overall would recommend, very handy for Plymouth not too far to town centre.
upgraded when selected bed was not available - reasonable bar prices, good local knowledge - arranged dinner at local Michelin rest (Tenby Arms) - good staff, helpful even when busy - the Hotel is clearly popular for weddings and wakes locally.
Bed a bit small, as was bathroom, so if you want space the newer rooms are slightly better, but the older rooms are more interesting
Everthing about this hotel is perfect. The staff are friendly and service is excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent. The hotel is a hidden gem, I will definately be back.
lovely warm reception at desk all staff very helpful room spotless food very good
The hotel's character
Expensive bar prices. Noise from upstairs room. Could hear everything.
Stunning Grade 1 Manor Fantastic breakfast Lovely room
sound insulation between rooms could have been better
The room - well designed, stylish, quiet, easy to access. Breakfast - well cooked and good service. The brilliant style of the great hall and dining room. High level of service everywhere.
The long staircase to the dining room was very difficult for my disabled wife. Wifi was reliable but slow.
THE ROOMS ARE GOOD AND THE FOOD EXCELLENT
Interesting architecture, new development blends really well with historical old hall. Staff were friendly. Breakfast very good.
Everything, Its Such a lovely hotel , felt special, nothing was too much trouble.. will be staying again , and again. loved out courtyard room..
Like everything about it
Everything, especially the food and amazing history of the beautiful house and peaceful grounds.
Whole experience Excellent reception staff
Lovely building, with lots of interesting history. Staff very friendly. I am gluten and dairy intolerant, but I had excellent service from the waiter, explaining before I even asked what I could have which instantly put me at ease. Food was delicious. We also enjoyed the cocktails. Will definitely stay again.
Service from staff at reception and breakfast which was excellent
could not get the wi fi to connect
The history of the building .The grounds all lovely
We arrived needing to book in and get to an event quickly. The staff were great and organised a local taxi within 10 mins. The rooms are lovely, tastefully modern and clean. The hotel is very picturesque and steeped in local history. We wished that we had more time to investigate the grounds and will definitely visit again.
All staff were polite and helpful. Complimentary drink offered on arrival. Courtesy call to the room to see if I needed anything.
We were upgraded which was very nice. Room was very comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful. Dinner was very nice. The whole ambience was lovely.
Breakfast was disappointing; Frozen Hash browns used, Beans and bacon both over cooked looked like it had been in a hotplate for ages. the hollandaise sauce was not home made and tasted awful
We got to our room a lovely clean and large room, but inthe bathroom poo was left in the toilet..not good!!! That is the only negitve tho!!!
The architecture and historical aspect
It was a double birthday treat from mother. and our baby girl who we nearly lost at birth 6 months old now. so a very important celebration. The bed? We slid to the middle all night . dreadful lumpy pilloes. so as our own bed is super. A big disappointment after a big build up and expectation . This has been reported to mother. who wished to visit . but... is now not sure. she is sad her "big treat" was a bit disappointing . staff. delightful.
Staff friendly Very clean hotel
Took a long time to serve food at supper!
What can't you like when the 'bedroom' is a suite with sitting room, outside veranda with Jacuzzi and bathroom with his and hers everything.
