Hotel Bosco  

Room was above bar with a party that went on until 1am. Might as well have put the bed on the dance floor it was that loud. Plus rear window right over outdoor smoking / seating area - could have joined in any conversation. So no sleep until after 1am. Then woken again at 4:45am by cleaner outside sweeping up cigarette ends as noisily as he could whilst singing to his iPod. Put up with that for a while as couldn't be bothered to get out of bed but when starting re-arranging the table & chairs by throwing them around, he got the sharp end of tired & four lettered tongue!! Hotel looks ok & facilities are ok too but the thought for their guests is non-existent. Apparently we were told we booked a room that may be affected by noise but I can't find any information advising of that on my booking details from booking.com. Won't be staying here again and don't advise anyone else too either.

I liked the minimal design, the amasing decor of the bar place where we had ecxellent breakfast in the morning and fine music in the afternoon.

The low lights in the room and specially in the bathroom(nice disigh but...) made the staying in the room verry uncofortable!!! Reading, be dressed , making up, shaving or taking a shower was an adventure without the daylight!!! A make up mirror and more light in the bathroom, as well as, instractions of how we use those very design taps, are recommented! Also my desappointment, though we made checkin the first night very late, arround 9pm in the afternoon, we have been charged 20€ for checkin out at 1.30am.instead of 12am. For one hour and a half. I concidered that very cheaper from a 4 stars hotel!!!

Vast selection for breakfast but would sooner have selection of cooked breakfast ie bacon n eggs etc

Staff extremely friendly,courteous, and helpful. Would agree with all in the review on the right.

As a mature couple, both having had back surgery, access to the bath/shower was difficult and dangerous as there was no support handles.The floor of the bath was also very slippy when wet and would benefit from non-slip patches.

Location next to Surbiton station for trains to London, also bus routes to Kingston. Friendliness of the staff.

The weather! Not the hotel's fault. It would have been nice to have 2 chairs to sit on in the room, but then again, I never asked for another one so maybe they would have given me one if I had asked. My wife also said it was a bit dark to put on her makeup.

The room was great along withe the bathroom.

The lighting was really poor for my partner to do her makeup.

Nice Lounge and central to most Airports. Staff very helpful and professional.

Room was a little small for $200 per night and "Executive Room" labeling on website. Room (304) also had drink stains on ceiling.

The hotel room was very nice with a comforting feel to it. It was also a 30 second walk from Surbiton station and a 5 min bus ride to Kingston. The cocktail bar downstairs was very lively which was good. Did not stay for long as we was going out into Kingston but was very nice. Would stay here again

Everything was great. Only thing was there was a horrible smell in the lift and on the top floor next to the lift.It cleared by late afternoon though

Very trendy decor but the actual build quality was a bit poor.

The rooms were quite nice and reasonably well appointed

The rooms on the first floor are very noisy. There is a lively bar downstairs and there are old noisy air con units close to the windows. Luckily I had sleeping tablets or I would have had very little sleep.also the beds and pillowsare very uncomfortable As for the food go Hungary rather than eat there. Coffee at breakfast was dreadful.

Breakfast disappointing

I liked the trendy decor although a bit tired looking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also liked the shampoo, shower gel etc. being in the big bottles so that they can just be refilled. The breakfast was very good.

The windows - they didn't shut properly. There was no cotton wool or ear buds in the bathroom and one of the bedside lights was broken.

Very clean hotel with great location for train and bus services. Friendly and helpful staff.

They have a bar downstairs that is open till 1230 and the music can easily be heard from your room not so good if your are in for an early night.

The noise was unreasonable, it stated on the website noisy until midnight, the bar below our room closed at ! am and was not emptied until 2.25 am, more like a night club, not well described on the site.

The receptionist was very pleasant. The windows in the room opened right out.

Would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast alongside the continental breakfast. Would prefer to park in the hotel rather than down the road from the hotel. Would also like for the key code to exit the external car park to be given to guests on check out so that they can get their cars out without the need for assistance.

It was clean and comfortable but the windows did not shut the air con did not work the hotel is situated above a bar and it was very very noisy in the room not helped by windows not shutting I would never return or recommend this hotel the breakfast was poor stale croissants and limited choice a very disappointing stay I spoke to reception re concerns no action taken to help

Lack of receptionist

Great location,lovely bar area,rooms were very nice and very clean,great bathroom,lady on reception was happy and friendly.

The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Surbiton railway station along the main street of Surbiton. It is therefore well located if you arrived by train and can be equally easy to reach by car once you got to Surbiton. It does not look much from outside but it was a real joy once you got into the room. The bathroom was particularly a pleasure with all the modern fittings. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is one of those hotels that "overlooked" to provide tissues which is rather inconvenient unless you bring your own.

apart from the clenliness absolutely nothing. i was greeted with a demand for an extra 10 pounds for early check in, i arrived at 12-15am, no check in till 2pm, yet when i payed the money the room was ready. advertised free wi-fi did not exist passed the reception area, when i asked was told no wi-fi on the second floor. i have never had a early check in charge demanded of me , even though i had a six year old boy with me and i explained that i would be at the match at 2pm and therefore could not check in till 9pm, staff did not care , all they wanted was the 10 pounds. what can i say.

the clenliness

Staff were helpful. Evening meal was good. Room was modern, large, with terrrace and wet room.

There wasn't a wide variety of food available at breakfast.
