Great overall hotel guesthouse.. Nice owner, room and not far from the town centre..!
Early checkout at 10am..
Clean bedding Sky TV Wi Fi Polite lady showed us to our room
Filthy dirty under beds ( old mouldy Jaffa cakes and sweet tubs and general dust & dirt Breakfast was promptly cleared away from under us although we where still eating and drinking! Could've waited til we where done as they have small spy cameras all over watching! Shower needs a good bleaching No shampoos or shower gel-I thought hotels provide these? Extremely noisy couple in room 2 next to us.
Inexpensive, clean, friendly, recently done up, a bit of breakfast thrown in. It fitted our needs fine for what it was and we were happy for one night.
You get what you pay for, but very small shared wc and shower room. Paper-thin walls between bedrooms. If you book a triple room, the 3rd bed is extremely uncomfortable - it's a put-me-up. It was a shame the tea and coffee making facilities were locked after 11pm as we were dying for a cuppa after our night out!
Great location, very close to high street and beach. Tidy, comfortable rooms.
A little noisy during a busy weekend. Bathrooms let the room down slightly, but not an issue for a short stay.
Good sized room comfortable and had a great nights sleep
I had a room with ensuite and the attention to detail cleanliness in the shower could be better
Owner is very helpful and welcoming! Enjoyed our stay!
Noisy uncomfortable bed
Cost of the room trippled due to it being a busy weekend
The owner was very helpful, polite and friendly and found us somewhere to park when car park was full.
This hotel was full of young people who was so noisey, they came back late at night and woke us all up, owner had argument with some other guests and tried to keep them quiet .No breakfast was available, just tea, coffee and toast. The area where the hotel is situated is a favourite destination for hen and stag nights.
Russell the owner really friendly and cheerful. Room really spacious, water in the bathroom nice and hot, bed nice and comfortable. Located in great position for beach and shops. For the price I would recommend to anyone.
Nothing to not like
Iliked the hotel nice and clean and very freindly staff. Also very good value for money
the internet access did not work at all lucky i had my dongle as a back up with me
The location was great, near the shopping centre and not too far from the beach.
We had booked a double room and were put in a room for 4 poeple for the same price. Light and airy and very clean. Fantastic large room. Proprietor really friendly. Great location with really good pub with music and bars and beach in close proximity. Absolutely fantastic value for money. I live close by in Poole but would stay there again as is perfect for a weekend stay due to the location.
Simple but stylish decor and very clean
staff very pleasant and helpful
plug in sink broken (stuck in) n o hot water for shower , bed clean but room dusty , no tea or coffee facilities in room , no maps available on the area. bars etc a long way from hotel (guest house)
Price was great and the service was really excellent.
No fruit for breakfast.
Location close to shops and beach great for the family.
Unfortunately me and my family were bitten in the bed had bites everywhere , did not sleep well although the housekeeper and owner were very nice and very helpful at all times
clean and tidy room. polite staff.
Poor facilities, room small, bed cramped against wall, no kettle to make tea in your room, shared shower room and toilet.no breakfast in price, wifi poor, parking impossible if returning late in evening.
The guy was really nice and friendly, warm welcome and big rooms.
Nice and laid back and friendly. Clean but unfortunately we paid too much because the Airshow was on which is what we went for. We took a peek at some of the other empty bedrooms which were much nicer and bigger.
Room a bit small for what we paid. No tea or coffee making and no cooked breakfast for the money. Car parking poor and unable to check in until after 4pm.
Employees really hard working, trying to do best with aging hotel. Quiet place, maybe bit of a walk to the beach, but close to shops on the high street, so good for baby shopping, with Boots and Sainsbury's around the corner. Given it was quite a cheap deal I booked, everything was acceptable, but had I paid full price, I'd be really upset with the state of hotel, cleanliness, and manager's attitude.
Travelling with 7 months old baby, on the day we were leaving I wanted to do quick baby food shopping, print coach ticket and make most of the weather. So I've asked if I could leave my luggage at the hotel for few hours - fairly standard request in most places. Manager could not wait to get me out of the door, not even thinking about helping. Had no time or energy to try and argue with him. Had to leave my case with the nearby pub. Given that I just gave my custom to the hotel, and the fact that I was with the small baby, so clear to see how hard it might be walking around with baby and the luggage - fairly outrageous.
I loved staying in this hotel. Everything was perfect. Nice, clean and cosy room for its price, friendly and organised staff, 4 minutes to the beach, delicious breakfast :) Perfect hotel for a quick stay. No noisy-parkers.
Excellent Location. You are a few minutes walk from the seafront and Boscome pier, and in the other direction a few minutes walk to the Town Centre.
I certainly would not class this as a hotel. There were communal coffee & tea facilities in the lounge, but only between specified hours. Nothing available in the room. Free Parking was limited to 3 spaces outside the property although they do offer free alternative parking a few minutes walk away. We had a double room with an en suite bathroom. The room was very small with effectively the double bed being the footprint of the room size. Very little space to store luggage. The bed was clean but not comfortable. Noise from the adjoining rooms was considerable and continued long into the night especially for residents having to use a communal bathroom. I would class this as a hostel really. Staff were friendly and helpful. However for the price paid this hotel offers poor value for money. I would not choose to stay again.
