This is one of the best 3* hotels we have stayed at and maintains the best service and accommodation for the money
They need to update room door locks and keys
the overall friendliness of all the staff was most impressive.
Lovely staff and hotel lovely when entering . Very modern.
The room was very old fashioned ... Expected to be nicer as hotel everywhere else beautiful .
We have stayed here several times and the location, accommodation and helpful staff are very good. Will return again
We asked for Soya milk to be available however it didn't appear until our last day. Not a major problem but we did ask for this at the time of booking
Very friendly, warm ,welcoming staff - nothing too much trouble. Spacious room - nice big comfy beds.
Unfortunately, the fan in our en-suite was exceptionally noisy and on an automatic timer, so couldn't be switched off.
buffet breakfast was very good quality. pleasant staff (one moved their car so that I could park). Good value for money, paid £55 would expect it to be closer to £90 for what I got
Friendly staff, pleasant room
Very weak WiFi, not strong enough to power iPhone
Chose the my evening meal from the residents fixed price menu, excellent food and great value, breakfast was also a joy.
Great trendy bar area with Sky sports. Restaurant limited menu however very tasty food. No need to leave hotel after a busy day it's all there.
Put in a room which was miles away. The room was comfy just needs a bit of an update.
Breakfast was really nice especially considering there was no additional charge.
Phone reception was poor in my - no fault of the hotel. But so was the WiFi, which can be easily fixed.
The hotel is good value as it has everything you need.
Due to age its a bit frayed round the edges.
Friendly welcoming staff. Evening meal was lovely.
it was very local for all public transport the staff were very friendly also at last minute had to check in a day earley and they were very good with this and booked an xtra night
nothing at all
Staff were friendly. Bathrooms were nice. Location was good & very reasonably priced,
Bedrooms & hallways were a bit tired looking. Creaky floorboards. I did not like two single beds pushed together. Uncomfortable nights sleep.
Staff Bar Bed Bathroom Cleanliness Price Location
Not many healthy options at breakfast - i.e. no boiled eggs, no brown bread, no skimmed milk, no veggie sausages Unfortunately all of the cooked breakfast was swimming in fat
Great value hotel with clean comfortable rooms. Good buffet breakfast.
WiFi is poor. Not accessible from all rooms and speeds can be slow if the hotel is busy.
I loved the atmosphere and cosy feel of the place. Really good food.
Small point but rooms and hallways need some care and attention. An upgrade would do wonders to the place.
staff and food
Location, car parking, helpful and friendly staff
Not publocised that it has no lift; an old building with lots of corridors where you have to go up and down stairs while still on the same floor, dated bathrooms
The chef was charming and really helpful, the food in the restaurant was excellent.
the music playing in bar area was a bit loud and intrusive. The didn't feel the bar area had any atmosphere and the seating was set out for groups so if only 2 people were taking the seats then it left few places left to sit.
Food and bar staff, comfy bed, location near to all local shops and restaurants. Also bargain price compared to Glasgow.
Room was freezing cold when arrived, turned radiator on and was fine but apart from that everything was perfect.
Friendly breakfast ladies. Bedroom tired but comfortable.
Bathroom in need of a facelift. Flakey paintwork, loo struggled to flush, hot/cold bath taps reversed! Breakfast hot food poor quality - fatty back bacon, cheap, thin &soggy toast, greasy milk for tea. No need to shout tea/toast orders across dining room-write a check!
Good location for M74. Restaurant good.Handy to have free internet with hotel PC.
Room we were allocated wasn't a patch on ones we had when we booked direct with hotel. My pillows were as hard and unyielding as sandbags.
