The overall friendliness of the staff, especially Kelly as we had to leave earlier than we planned due to a problem at home, in the rush we left some clothes in the room and to be honest we didn't know until she contacted us, we confirmed they were ours and she arranged to post them to us, which we have received and I have phoned the hotel to leave a message of our thanks. Just a minor thing regarding the bar, I know the staff have to learn but I would suggest training in inter personal skills and how to make their customers feel part of the hotel and just not a casual visitor off the street. A nice large bar with nice furniture but no coasters on the table, therefore the tables ends up with drip marks and condensation. A few nuts, cheese biscuits etc would be nice on the tables and bars. |

Without doubt the most appealing part of my stay was the care, attention and professional approach by the staff The reception afrea is way too small and understaffed to accomodate large numbers of guests checking in or our at busy times. |

the staff were very professional and very attentive. the evening menu was limited but very well cooked and presented the rooms were large and well presented, however some of the furniture was becoming tired. the cark park was flooded and there were cigarette ends around the main entrance. |

The engagement of the staff with their work. They were not just doing a job, they were really welcoming Blankets - I prefer a duvet but this is a minor point. |

Especially enjoyed the swimming pool with stunning views, also leisurely walk around the grounds. Easy access from motorway together with straightforward drive to city centre also handy. Not really, although for me the bed could have been harder - too soft for my bad back! |

The very open aspect, not close to busy roads, plenty of parking, surrounded by well kept gardens. Nice interior, lots of old prints and paintings, the staff seemed proud of their establishment. Several electrical faults in the room on arrival, easily rectified when reported, but should have been noted by staff before we arrived. Dinner took an awfully long time to be served, and whilst it was a really nice meal, an hours wait from ordering to the main course arriving is too long. |

most of the staff were very friendly several light bulbs not working. Extractor fan in bathroom not working. Due to disability unable to climb into bath for a shower.. Table in bar sticky and full of crumbs. At dinner catch of the day - only 1 left (so on which day was the catch?) then ordered 3 duck dishes, but could only get 2. At breakfast were told it was cold only, but if I found nothing to my liking, could wave to waitress, who would arrange for something hot. There was very little: cereal, some yoghurt, some fruit and a few slices of brown bread. I ordered some fried bread and fried eggs and received a very small half slice of bread with an egg on top. Coffee was undrinkable as the milk was on the point of turning sour. |

Friendly staff. Large rooms. Free WiFi. I ate in the restuarant in the evening and the food and service was good. Cooked breakfast was OK, although the service was a bit slow. |

Close to the motorway. The quiet surroundings,& helpful staff. Our room had a very comfortable 4 poster bed, only the 2nd. time we have slept in a 4 poster bed. I consider the bath/shower dangerous,it`s very slippery at end.& needs a grab-rail on the wall.Very squeaky floors.Could do with lighting under the bed canopy.External paint-work could be better on the building. |

IBeing able to sit and walk in comfort outside without traffic noiseUnfortuantly we were there for a golden wedding so had a set meal etcWhat I realy liked was the reception staff and the fact that it seemed that local people or English born people staffed the hotel |
