We stayed at Legacy Botleigh Grange as it was the nearest hotel we could get to the Rose Bowl. We thought the Hotel looked very tired and in need of some renovating. We had to constantly ask for things at breakfast and were absolutely furious to find there was a fee of £3.95 for using a credit card. We stay in hotels all over the Country and have never been charged before. The hotel needs to seriously get in the Twentieth Century! There was also huge hassle to get a drink at 11.15pm even though we were residents.

Lovely grounds, friendly helpful staff. Nice big rooms although need a but of a facelift. I chose it for the pool having looked at many hotels. I have a child and wanted a pool to go swimming. It was very disappointing to find out that children can only use the pool in the morning till 11 and from 2 till 4. Most families would be out visiting places during these times. It was not advertised on the website about this.

Staff were very friendly. Outlook is lovely. Bedrooms are spacious. Staff need to be better trained - a little sloppy about service, spilling drinks etc and not appearing to notice. Mattresses need replacing. Disabled facilities are not good. Consideration needs to be given to a shower in the one disabled room as it is impossible for those who are disabled to get over the bath.

I Stayed at the Hotel as it was the venue for my son's wedding, the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself is child friendly and relaxing. The spa facilities are excellent and on the whole i thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Just a beautiful place to stay - it has an excellent reputation and beautiful grounds to enjoy. Breakfast was great and the rooms were stunning! Definitely worth the money. Unfortunately, because we werent your typically 'posh' looking couple - we got snubbed at the bar by a young man - not only did he serve a man who arrived after us (because he was posher looking probably) but he then continued to look around the room in what we felt to aviod us altogether. All we wanted was an icebucket... He needs to come down a peg!

We were attending a wedding reception during the afternoon, the food was good and the staff were helpful and pleasant in fact you couldn't falt the staff. As there was an evening reception we decided to book a room for the night. The room was comfortable and breakfast offered excellent choice and again nothing was too much bother for the staff. Overall a pleasurable experience. We felt that the decor looked very tired and it was quite noticeable in places that it needed attention; it let down what otherwise was a good experience.

Lovely grounds, great dining room, decent breakfast (quality and quantity). friendly staff and nice atmosphere! Although the hotel is quite grand in some respects it is also a little tired in many others. Some of the decoration, carpets and furniture has seen better days! But it is just about holding up in a shabby chic sort of way...My biggest gripe however is my wife and I had a double bed in our room - which is fine - and a double duvet - which is not!! Double bed is OK, but the duvet needs to be a king please!!! a double is just too small.....

It's proximity to southampton and the spa facilities Our room was a little bit cold and we were unable to turn the radiator on. Also our shower/bath wasn't draining very well and wasn't as hot as we would have liked. I think we were just a little bit unlucky and it didn't really spoil our stay.

The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere, the spa facilities were excellent with attention to detail. Facilities even included free use of hair dryers, lockers, towels and ghd'S. The breakfast was lovely and there was so much choice, there is something for everyone's tastes.

As soon as you turn off the road and onto the drive for the hotel you can easily forget that you are near a major city. The staff are very friendly and well mannered. The Spa is very relaxing and makes the time away feel longer. Parts of the hotel are in need of tidying up. The windows in my room looked as though they might crumble when I went to open them for fresh air. The spa, gardens and lakes were a lot smaller than anticipated - I had hoped for long walks around the advertised lakes (I should have viewed the ponds via goggle earth).

The Spa facilities were excellent & the grounds were very pleasant to walk around. Two & Three course set evening menus had extra added supplements if you chose for example Steak that would cost you an extra £7.00 I found this very misleading as you were expecting to pay £20.95 for two course £ £25.95 for three.

Everybody was very polite and friendly. Free Wifi and Breakfast and parking included in price makes it much less hassle to book. It was a little warm, felt they didn't need to have all the radiators on, lights on etc. Bit stuffy at times but minimal complaint.

Relaxed atmosphere and lovely setting. Good grounds and parking. Rooms large if a little dated. Breakfast very good served in a very pleasant dining room overlooking the grounds. Excellent value for money. The only criticism would be that the hotel is a little dated and worn around the edges but still represents great value for money.

The breakfast was enjoyable and the function room we used the night before was done out beautifully. The room was too warm and the bed and arm chairs were too soft and squashy, the bed actually had a dip in it.
