Room was tired, marks on the walls, damage to ceilling from water leak above. We had not been resevered a table at the restaurent even tho we booked it when we checked in. Service was very slow, waited 20 mins for drinks after ordering. Food was average

Clean, comfortable and spacious bedroom.

Breakfast was not up to standard. A Scottish-owned hotel should know what smoked haddock should look and taste like.It was dried up and overcooked, totally unappetising.The melon at the buffet was unripe. Altogether a very amateurish breakfast.

The swimming pool was warm. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially when our 3 year old started to misbehave!

The drinks were very expensive. The executive bedroom was a little small Couldn't pick up internet connection in our room and free wifi was not available

The first night was appaling there were flimsy blankets on the bed hence we were very cold and had to ask for a duvet . The staff did not seem to care. We had booked the executive and was suppose to get a bottle of wine and chocolates but on exit when we asked for it we were made to feel bad. We will be staying there again. The hotel us very nice but the staff is awful. There were other unhappy experiences but will not go into it. Yours very disappointed.

Some of the staff were fantastic. They were smiling, helpful, courteous although lacking training and basic service skills. Their attitude made up for it though. Food quality was just fantastic. We had excellent dinners and breakfasts. Head housekeeper and room service staff over the weekend were absolutely wonderful. They were happy, professional and very helpful. They deserve credit.

The larger lady on Reception. Dreadful attitude. She was doing the customers a favour serving them and I found myself being over jovial in an attempt to raise some enthusiasm and/or a smile. Monday early room service breakfast standard was much lower than weekend standard. Things missing off tray on Monday. Very irritating when you're in a rush. Coffee dreadful in this hotel. They definitely need to look at that and, there are no plug sockets by bed. Disaster for those with sleep apnea cpap machines. Fortunately extension cord provided by hotel. Lighting on dressing table very bad for ladies to do their make up which is my partner's pet hate!

Room was spotless and when we asked for more shampoo it was delivered immediately . Breakfast was superb. All staff were really friendly and helpful .

Whereas during my facial treatnent the room was absolutely freezing , whilst my daughter was having hers , her room was absolutely boiling and she felt quite sick which spoiled the treatment a little . I do feel the actual times for the treatments are skimped a bit , but good treatments on the whole .

Modern, clean, well-heated hotel in pleasant countryside surroundings with excellent recreational facilities on site. Rooms clean, cosy and containing all the facilities expected.

Catering did not come up to the standard expected of such a good hotel, (apart from the continental breakfast, which was excellent). Poor choice in the evening party buffet and some of it was undercooked. The English breakfast was expensive and poorly cooked - the bacon and toast were undercooked and the fried egg was hard. Bar prices are very expensive indeed!

I enjoyed the open arms friendliness from the moment my partner and I walked into the hotel until we left. The set out of the room I stayed in was soothing enough for the occasion. The willingness of the staff to aid other was admirable and heart warming. The restaurant staff did an amazing job at their timing between meals, their description of the menu and most of all the quality of the food. I would like to say a special thank you to Irena who waited my table. She did a tremendous job. My girlfriends and I were quite pleased with her waiting services.

The receptionist Chelsea and evening manager service was second to none, was clean, beauty room staff were really attentitive.breakfast has a huge variety.

Impersonal service, had to wait for service all the time, as staff were sitting in store cupboard chatting( this was seen by evening manager. Barmaid was only interested in talking to a customer from her native land Poland. Not much in variety of food choices in the 2 bars, same menu with different prices, Spa could have been cleaner, Spent over £600 for a weekend for 2, but felt I should have recived better service

fabulous staff and a very pleasant hotel. Good facilities and a suitable gym for those of us who like to work out! I asked for a quiet room and got it which is unusual for hotels these days. The food is plentiful with a good variety - watch out for the large chilli pepper that accompanies the curry :)

A little pricey however, probably commensurate with the luxury received.

The staff were extremely friendly. And had to put up with a lot of obnoxious people. They dealt with in a calm and professional manner. They kept smiling.

The double bed was two singles pushed together. Whatever you do, don't do the speedy checkout. I did, then got charged £30 more than what the bill said. I have asked for a copy of the original bill but have not heard back from them.

We ended up there due to the weather, the staff were extremely helpful, the room ( classic) was clean, warm, comfortable, it was quiet even though there seemed to be a big party one night and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Good pool, gym and spa too, we couldn't have been more pleased!

Love it here it's our second visit now and cannot fault the place

Room was spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast with hot food cooked to order and substantial cold buffet. Village located close by had good amenities including late night shop and choice of restaurants.

No mobile phone reception in the room areas so could only make calls from the lobby or bar area. Price of drinks in the bar was over and above what you would expect to pay in a hotel.
