That it is away from the pub, and very clean, loads of hot water, Breakfast was good too.
It is not a straight run from Jn 29 as it looks on the map. So it was a little hard to find..but I do not have a Sat Nav either, so maybe its my own fault!
Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was basic but very well presented. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the noise from the function-room, which the staff had thoughtfully told us about was certainly not a problem; we both enjoyed a couple of good night's sleep!
Considering the cost of our stay, there was nothing we could fault.
Was lovely but no different to a double room apart from bath and had a sofa in it
we stayed here as we were going to a funeral we got talking to a staff member called Mary Walker she asked what room we where in and said it was up stairs and would we be ok with that, whilst my husband would have managed it would have been difficult, she went away and 5mins later came back and said she had changed our room to the ground floor which was very much appreciated, the room was warm very clean and a comfy bed.the following morning we enjoyed a a lovely breakfast. We would fully recomend anyone to stay here
Position of hotel, staff accommodating meals were good quiet location
Mattress not very comfortable, king size bed needed, also fridge in room would have been handy
Staff are always more than helpful and the Suite rooms are lovely
Size of room
Food wasn't as good as expected
Nice bar and the food was tasty and good value and they had some good beer. It was very comfortable and pleasant. There was a big disco in the pub on Friday night but it wasn't disturbing at all. A very comfortable stay and we will go there again.
The taps in the bathroom of the executive room we stayed in were in need of attention - loose and difficult to use and the bathroom floor was quite grubby. This did not really detract from the overall favourable impression and I will stay there again when I'm in the area.
Fabulous place with excellent customer care, fantastic food, great rooms the only down side was comfort of bed not being great and the pullows wete hard, however we would go again as the rest was brilliant .
The customet service, the food and the place were brilliant.
The twin room was very large and well heated . It had a flat screen TV, a hair drier and tea and coffee making facilities. We dined in the adjoining where the food was very good Our stay was enjoyable and was excellent and value for money
The service at breakfast was vey slow and the cooked breakfast was a little greasy. There should have been more staff present at breakfast.
Value for money clean and great location
Lovely spacious room Lovely staff Great food and drink at a great price
Sat nav struggled to find it
I found the staff polite and the place very clean
room was enormous, staff were very welcoming, food was great value, perfect for our overnight stay
furniture a bit dated in bedroom ( although adequate and clean) shower not great ( but it did work) bathroom not as clean as it could of been - all in all though great for the money
helpfulness & friendliness of staff easy check-in and out breakfast
Great room quite with all mod cons and clean bathroom, shower, excellent service with all the trimmings. Private parking and easy access. Excellent breakfast served very well and without long wait. very tasty and well cooked.
thin walls and sometime noisy guests.
Large rooms;clean. Friendly staff.
Some rooms are too near noisy kitchen fans Restaurant is a large noisy family pub. Tables stocky night and morning(breakfast)
room was well comfy and had a great view. no complaints here.
Access from motorway good. good car park. First impressions of pub was good and comfortable.
Attitude from some of the staff was indifferent. Choice of meals was limited and specials certainly were not special and majority of menu more or less junkfood. Breakfast service was appalling - whoever has heard of a hotel with no marmalade? It certainly is value for money because it is cheap and cheerful but we would certainly not spend more than a night there.
Accommodation whilst a bit basic was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and the food was good. All in all good value for money and I will use again on my next trip from the USA.
Bit confusing to locate coming in from Pinxton without a sat nav as I was advised it was on the A38
It was fine but I wouldn't go there again
Live music until midnight Tap was very loose on hand basin
everything was very good
the banging all night heard in our room
Uncomfortable bed, very low water pressure resulting in a trickle for a shower, noisy room causing disturbed sleep, main contributor was the poorly maintained boiler banging and clanging I suspect.
Spacious room and nice bathroom
