Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It features 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.

It was closed to the water
This is not Marriott style and class
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location looking out onto the sea. Breakfast was very good too. Room was excellent.
We had a new starter checking us into the hotel, which ended up taking around 30 minutes. Also, even though it was 5.30 we were told that the rooms hadn't been checked off, so we also had to wait for that.
The friendliness of staff. Allowed us to really relax. Food excellent.
Expensive car parking.
Great location beautiful hotel, very central, loved it and will revisit x helpful bell boy really friendly x
We tried to change out room and requested some support .. Didn't find the staff on the central number as helpful as the staff on Site... We would have liked a price match of other sites that were cheaper!! We returned to the hotel late on Saturday and the staff had wrapped the pumps in cling fm and were ready to leave, they did serve us a drink but the young lady did not appear happy... Whilst we were being served at least another 15 people entered the bar for drinks... It was not very welcoming looking at cling filmed beer pumps ! Insufficient Car parking... Bar staff poor, slow service .. Very pleasant staff just slow
Great staff, very helpful and welcoming. Food excellent.
Sea views. Close to pier and cliff lift. Good breakfasts.
Parking charge of £10 per day.
Great position to walk down the beach and/or into town. Lovely indoor pool/spa and outdoor pool which we used all day on the Sunday in brilliant sunshine. Delicious full English breakfast. Had a fantastic weekend overall and would certainly return.
Having to pay £10 car park fees on top of the costs already incurred. Really wanted a room with proper sea view and near the pool facilities. But, that did not really detract from a very good weekend !
breakfast was excellent.
had asked :on day 1: for an extra pillow this did not arrive during our stay.
Service was good and friendly
That the mini bar in the room started to omit an awful chemical smell - luckily we were in room and managed to get out. My elderly mother was staying there and had it happened overnight it may have been disastrous. Did not pre-book massages and were unable to have them.
Swimming Pool Breakfast Nice Hotel
Booked three superior rooms and as the hotel was full booked they tried to pass off a standard room as a superior room, eventually sorted it out!
Friendly staff in restaurant
The only room available was a double in the annexe and I had a reservation for a twin room booked in advance The room was noisy with loud music from the Dorchester Suite until after midnight
The pool and spa facilities especially the outdoor heated pool. The flapjacks in the room
Our weekend was marred by a young man called peter wilkinson who claimed to be the manager, this young man was incompetent rude and arrogant in his approach, he embarassed me by dealing with my justified query in front of a packed reception of wedding guests. The position and approach to our room, across the carpark and behind the bins and the thai restaurant, the view of the dirty walls and eaves 2 metres away from the window.
Very comfortable and spacious bed. Good number of pillows. Wardrobe space. Bathroom.
Poor layout of room. A rather pointless dressing/writing table and stool rather than two comfortable chairs. Buffet style breakfast arrangement. Car parking charge. Considerably overpriced.
small dated rooms crack in basin crack in floor tile in bathroom hole in duvet cover really not what it says on the tin
Staff very helpful. Rooms luxurious, great breakfast selection - can't wait to go back!
Facilities are great and the staff very friendly.
The coffee shop menu and food is average. Though breakfast is great!
Staff friendly and professional Great Locaation
Stayed before in a junior sweet which was lovely but the suite we had this tie was insufficient for three of us, small and bathroom not cleaned to a very high standard
The location was good, friendly helpful staff . Bar area had great views. Great range of breakfast. Nice leisure facilities
The standard room was at the rear of the hotel and the space was inefficient. We overlooked the flat roof and a noisy street. I think for the price of the room I would have expected something better. No free wifi in the room.
We paid £200 for a Saturday night only to be put not in the main lovely part of the Hotel but only around the side which the guy at the reception took us through a very crummy fire escape around the side of the Hotel which was a horrible part of the hotel. Also we could not get served in the bar because you had a wedding party taking over this area even though you have a special bar in other rooms for weddings....overall it was not a good stay and i would be put off going back there in the Summer!
My room was looking out into the CAR Park. The cider pump was not available during my visit (tHATCHERS)
Location, good service, excellent staff attitude, nice size comfortable room and bathroom, very good breakfast, parking available.
Just food and drink.
Price to expensive for what they offered. The cottage is a standard double room. Staff not bad but not excellent. Very poor cleanness: never clean the room in two days. Never recommended to a friend.
Location was great
Not up to standard for a Marriott, small bed, 15 min queue for breakfast, had to pay £15 for the wifi per day, pay £10 to park in the hotel'a car park which was completely full and had to park in a no parking area across their goods inwards and leave the car keys with them as they would need to keep moving it. Bathroom was more like a premier inn. Should have stayed at the Wessex nearby as much nicer.
room spacious excellent position right next to the beach. we stayed during Bournemouth air show so was full.but staff were always smiling. good service.
ac needs updating. need to pay for parking and wifi in room.. most places with similar pricing include this for free.
Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly, global staff. Great views from the Hotel. Funicular to the beach.
Sounding floors. Training of staff could be better.
