Bowes Incline Hotel  

Friendly welcome, nice room, decent breakfast although a bit more 'cold' choice would have been nice, perhaps with rolls and pastries, but I had perfect poached eggs.

my room was next to a fire door so quite noisy when people passed through but no traffic after 11pm so not really a problem.

Excellent spacious clean newly refurbished room. We will definitely be staying again if we can have Room 19!! My wife enjoyed an excellent lunch whilst I went away to watch football. The staff are very helpful and at Sunday lunchtime it is very busy which speaks volumes!!

We found the lack of handles to wardrobes and bedroom furniture to be non user friendly. Breakfast was good but let down by the sausages. We have stayed many times at The Bowes and the sausages have been better.

The restaurant was excellent - large range of dishes to choose from. All well presented and good size portions. The Breakfast menu was also good with a wide range of choices and again well presented. The staff were really helpful. The rooms were of a good standard. We thought this was good value for money.

I stay in hotels across the country week in week out. This is the best value. Fantastic food, fantastic beer, comfortable, well appointed room. A very well run hotel and I use it any time I am in the North East.

We loved the room no15.also the lady on reception and the gentleman late evening. The hotel was excellent.breakfast was really good with small portions offered . Lovely !

The food was lovely but the portions were enormous ! Slightly offputting when I had asked for a small amount at evening meal.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. 10 minutes from location of business meeting. Lovely room clean and spacious with double shower. Excellent tea and coffee making amenities. Will recommend this hotel to other colleagues and clients.

Food was a little disappointing. Had Pate starter and this was served in two little balls without butter and no chutneys. Beef stroganoff was rather gristly.

The food served in the pub was really good

No air condition and to close to the motorway (noise)

Difficulty in finding it on arrival from Newcastle Airport.

Friendly staff, hi speed wifi, good food, great value

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, staff are helpfull,food and drink is very good with huge portions.There is also a large free car park.

We were in room 19, which was very nice. The only thing was the noise from room 18. The people were not noisey, but we could here their conversations at normal levels and hear EVERY noise when they used the toilet/bathroom. We have stayed at this hotel before and hope to return as long as we don`t get room 19 or18.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. Room and facilities were very good and walk-in shower was a joy. Restaurant was popular and breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We visit the area quite often and will certainly stay again.

I have stayed here a few times and I never cease to be impressed with the quality of the fittings and the food. Staff are always smiling.

Excellent hotel, everything well catered for, pleasure to stay

Well placed for the A1M, good bar/restaurant - beer and food very good. Excellent shower.

I have slept in comfier beds - but also plenty that were far worse. Option to order a paper for morning would be good as hotel is beyond viable walking distance to shops.

Sausage at breakfast was awful. But only the sausage. Was dry overcooked, as if been reheated. Rest of food was great.

The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. The food and service were truly excellent. We cannot praise the staff enough for helping us in our hour of need

Excellent rooms, quiet even though next to main roads. Very welcoming and attentive.

I enjoyed the entire stay. The company i work for is based in the area and I usually use the Angel....but heard great things about your hotel so decided to give it a shot. I will be staying at the Bowes Incline when I am back in the area again :-)

Staff friendly, quiet, comfortable. Lovely food.

Just one thing - a chair for sitting at the desk in the room would be a good idea.
