Beautiful location & very convenient, comfortable & friendly.
room clean and fresh with good facilities, huge breakfast in the morning, hosts were very helpful
bar drinks expensive
Location to facilities in area
Some staff were cold towards us, didn't seem genuine. Made to feel a bit of an inconvenience paricularly at breakfast
Good reception. Friendly staff. Problems sorted without fuss.
Liked almost everything about this place. Beautiful 17th century inn with a wood stove, good food (particularly breakfast), nice room. The only minor issue was that it took ages for the shower to heat up but I think this was because we were the only guests there that night so we probably had to clear the cold water from the pipes. Room wasn't that big and had a double bed, but it was very cosy and comfortable. Friendly staff who let us check out 2 hours late so we were very happy.
Apologies were made and reduced the cost. Fortunately we were out most of the time.
No assistance with luggage offered. No room service during our stay of 3 nights. Had to purchase toilet rolls. No tea bags, milk to make tea after arrival.
The location is excellent just off the M5 and easily reached. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure that your every need is met. Ideal meeting room facilities for a small number of people. Rooms are just what you need and expect from the description and the food was good.
Cosy and homely Able to eat on site
Food tasty but could have been hotter
The setting of the inn so close to the motorway but in the countryside was excellent. Friendly pub and excellent food in the restaurant.
Noise from people sitting outside after 11. However,it is Chrismas.
Rooms first class. Cleanliness very good. staff very helpful, and good sense of humour. quiet location, friendly locals. easy access, and good parking available.
dining room tables all reserved, however it is the run up to Christmas, and to be expected.
Excellant food and a good range of beers
Service at night, young girls with no finesse, did not clear plates when finished and dumbed main meal on table. Breakfast staff far superior
location, friendliness and breakfast
wi-fi and mobile phone reception was poor
Almondsbury is a lovely English village and the Bowl is a typical English village pub. I stayed in room 8 which has been decorated and the telly fixed since I stayed there last.
For a pub B&B its not cheap.
Cosy place offering perfect cosy facilities.....
Good food Friendly staff Clean Comfortable
The bowl inn is less tham 5 minutes from the M5 , is easy to find . Car parking is across from pub. Nice food, wine and beers.
Location for Bristol Refund of poor meal Staff Good cask Ales Flowers in outside tubs/pots
Broken Shower that had been previously reported and toilet flush. Food service slow and some meals not hot
set in a housing estate next church very hard to find a parking place, bed very uncomfortable lumpy could not have shower on top floor water pressure pump did not work
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and cooked well. Comfy bed and powerful shower.
Was left waiting a long time upon arrival, had to search for someone to check us in. Cobwebs everywhere! A dead spider on the light outside our room. Felt a bit too much like a 'local' pub so felt like a outsider. Not very personal but ok for just one night.
Nice atmosphere, cozy room, very friendly and helpful staff.
Food was average. The boiler happened to have broken down on the night I stayed and no hot water was available for a shower in the morning. The manager was very apologetic about this and offered a discount.
Rustic Easy to park
Shower heating didn't work Food was a bit over priced
Plenty of parking. Good Breakfast. Busy old pub Option for haunted room (didn't take up) Clean and tidy.
Room a tad cold Shower a bit weak (It is all very newly refurbished and neat so these are just nit-picks).
Staff were very accomodating. Willing to allow us to specify the ground floor room. We are a couple in our mid 80's and this was much appreciated. Also very friendly and helpful. We also treated our daughter, grandson and grand daughter in law as well as out 2 great grandchildren to Sunday lunch. Very relaxed affair, in a good way, in large part because the staff took on board the needs of very young childrenand served their food at the same time as the adults starters and provided a very good activity pack for each of the children, which kept them sufficiently busy while the adults chatted and ate. Well done!
I loved the feeling of this place. Our room faced the back patio which is really charming. Breakfast had good vegetarian options if you do not eat pork.
We got to the hotel a little late in the afternoon. After settling down and getting our little girls ready for the night we went down to the restaurant only to find out they were booked and they told us we should have made a reservation earlier (it would've been nice if receptionist told us in advance since we specifically asked about dinner when we checked in). We had to get our little girls out late in the night to go find a restaurant near by. Not happy at all.
