First class food and excellent value for money. Perfectly cooked fillet steak for evening meal and free range eggs, dry cured bacon and home made sausage for breakfast. Eggs are sourced from the pub and the landlord cures the bacon and makes the sausage. Rooms are quite basic but perfectly functional and clean (though the mat im my room could have done with a better vacuum. The top quality breakfast (described above) was offset by the cup of tea I ordered being presented as a cup with a tea bag in it with small cartons of UHT milk. What's wrong with a teapot and a small jug of fresh milk?

The evening meal I had was excellent, beautifully cooked steak.. Breakfast as also good, home produced bacon... Location was so close to the M40 motorway that it was impossible to leave the windows open because of traffic noise. One suggestion would be that they install air conditioning or at least supply electric fans in the rooms.

The food and the products in the deli were excellent. When in the area we woulld call for both again. Overall great value for money. A lounge area in the hotel would be nice. The room was very basic, but overall good value for money.

The rooms we clean and had everything you need. Although the hotel is lierally next to the M40 you wouldn't even know it was there....you'd think you were in the middle of no where. The food was reasonable and although I didn't have one, the steaks looked fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Pleasant family run pub. Very good steak. TV in room and tea/coffee making facilities. Only little pots of milk. Too many locked doors to get through to get to your room (3) from outside. Noisy and difficult to do when carrying bags. Room and bedding clean except for rugs (not hoovered) and floors tiled. Mattresses very uncomfortable. Pub/restaurant only open from 6.30pm-9pm and breakfast finishes at 9am. Had to give breakfast order day before.
