The restaurant serves a wide range of cuisine, which has earned an RAC Dining Award. The Lounge Bar has extensive wines and malt whiskeys and is open until late. It is spacious and comfortably furnished with ample chairs and sofas.

Area information

British Cycling Museum (2.2 miles/3.5 km) - Britain's foremost museum of cycling history, housed in an old Victorian Railway Station. Includes over 400 examples of bicycle.

Tintagel (7 miles/11 km) - On one of England's most dramatic coastlines, Tintagel is home to the remains of a medieval castle. The area is of huge archaeological interest, and has for centuries been linked with King Arthur.

Pencarrow (10.5 miles/17 km) - A private house, owned and lived in by the Molesworth-St.Aubyn family. Built during the 1760's, is has a fine collection of pictures, furniture, porcelain and antique dolls and offers a superb insight into life in a Georgian country house.

From the East:
- Take the M5 past Exeter.
- Turn onto the A30 for 44 miles (71 km).
- Take the A395 signed to Camelford for 10.5 miles (17 km).
- Turn left on the A39 for 3.5 miles (5.5 km) through Camelford.
- At Valley Truckle turn right at the brown tourism sign and follow the signs to Bowood Park.

From the West:
- From Wadebridge/ Bodmin head towards Camelford.
- At Valley Truckle turn left and follow the brown tourism signs for Bowood Park.

By train:
Bodmin Parkway is approximately 12 miles (19 km) away. The hotel can arrange a local taxi or minibus service for you - please contact the hotel direct for details.

By air:
Ryanair fly to Newquay (approximately 25 minutes flight) from Stansted up to 3 times a day. Again, contact the hotel if you require a taxi or minibus arranged for you.
