Away from Jarman Park is the fast paced game of Quasar. For those looking for something a little slower, Little Hay and Shendish Manor both have 18 or 9-hole golf courses and a pitch and putt. Little Hay also offers tuition.
Hemel is located on the central routes of several different travelling methods, be it train, motorway or canal boat. With London only 25 miles away, even more attractions open up. Windsor Castle is 21 miles away to the south, Whipsnade Zoo is only 8 miles away to the north and for guests looking for a bit of history, the Roman city of St. Albans is only minutes away to the east.

The bedroom & bathroom were nice. Despite checking with reception the day after my online booking to confirm we would definately have 2 doubles & 2 twins, when we arrived were given 2 doubles,1 twin & 1 single. Lady on reception said there were no other rooms available so we would have to have these rooms.We were not happy.We chose this hotel because it supposedly had the beds we wanted. When we settled the bill the next day we were eventually given a reduction on the bill though. |

The accomodation was excellent, and the food and service in the conservatory restaurant was more than satisfactory. Although we did not get the opportunity to use the other facilities, they certainly looked inviting. |

We were a bit disappointed with the room but were immediately moved to another which was much better. Staff were very polite, efficient and friendly. Dinner was a complete relevation - one of the best meals we have ever had in a hotel restaurant: Interesting menu, beautifully cooked and the manager recommended a wine (one of the cheapest on the wine list c. £15) which was absolutely superb. It is close to the motorway so there was a bit of traffic noise, but it was not intrusive. On the other hand I chose it because it was colse to the motorway... |

The friendly and helpful attitude of the staff was obvious as soon as we arrived which made our stay so enjoyable. With the bedroom[10] window open [warm weekend] there is a certain amount of traffic noise from the main road into and out of Hemel Hempstead but this did not spoil our stay. |

The hotel is in a nice residential area close to the main roads and train station. The staff are attentive. The breakfast time starts too late and finishes to early (08:30 - 09:30) |
