The boxmoor is a nice affordable friendly hotel

Comfortable, welcoming, friendly & convenient for the Hemel Snow Centre.

No problems.

I liked the chalet style rooms & the old look of the buildings. The grounds were well kept.

The hotel is smaller than I would've imagined but that adds to the cosyness.

Very clean and welll maintained, comfortable, excelent service, cheapest than other options in the same city. It is the best option to book in that city. It is more than a 3 stars accomodation in regard to the quality of the room. I am glad I made that choice.

A bit far from the city center, not in walking distance. But anyway you can see nothing in UK as is raining all the time!

The greeting on arrival was warm and genuinely friendly. Staff were responsive and efficient. Room was spotless. Power shower and deep bath. Very comfy bed. Room service menu was quite varied and food was very good. No uneccessary frills and excellent value. Ideal for a business stay. Perfect antidote to the rather impersonal approach of the branded chains. April 11th to 13th 2012.

Parking was a problem on first evening of my 2 night stay.

We really did enjoy our stay there. It was convenient for the M25 and near to Harpenden where we had to be for a funeral. Despite being near the railway and the A41, the noise from them was quite acceptable and only in the background. The staff were most helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean. I'd have preferred a wider choice of channels on the TV (BBC4 for example) but we don't go away to watch telly so that doesn't really matter at all. All in all an excellent hotel.

Thank you for a great night, we loved the room we had an upgrade to a four poster, and the full english breakfast, my girlfriend loved the location, and as I proposed that night,now she is my fiancee! thank you for a great experience. & staff were excellent. Will be back Oli & Angela ;)
