Good location, great staff, good quality dinner. Breakfast was good choice of continental or cooked buffet with option to select choice of eggs. Quality of cooked produce was average for breakfast. Facilities are good. Rooms, whilst looking dated are in keeping with property and were clean. Welcome dogs in rooms and conservatory bar area.

Our room and seemingly the whole hotel has been newly renovated. The staff were excellent and the Scottish breakfast was one of the best I've ever had!
We also had our three dogs with us and there were welcome.

The property was comfortable, clean and very nicely presented. The hot tub was a great addition.

Breakfast staff and service were excellent. Secure access to the room was great and the security code was easy to remember. Restaurant staff were friendly and well trained. Meals at the pub were very good and the atrium eating space was delightful.

Borgue is rural so definitely need bikes or car to get around. However if you want to stay in the same place it’s perfect for walking, bird watching and just chilling out in the garden.
Everyone is very friendly and the local borgue hotel is great for a refreshing drink and bar meal and they also welcome dogs in the bar.
A very memorable hamlet inbetween kirkudbright and gatehouse of fleet.
