For the benefit and comfort of all visitors, the whole of the Braemount House is a designated non-smoking area.
For those looking for something a little extra special, several beautiful four-poster rooms are available, including an impressive king-size room.
For those less able, there is one ground floor bedroom.
If you feel in need of pampering, you can also be provided with sparkling wine or champagne on ice, fresh flowers and chocolates (at an additional cost).
Attractions in the immediate vicinity include:
Orrest Head (1.5 km / 0.9 miles) - a short walk up this hill off the top of High Street will lead you to Orrest Head, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding lakes and hills.
Lake Windermere (1.6 km / 1 mile) - the largest natural lake in England and an essential visit when exploring the region.
Windermere Steamboats and Museum (2 km / 1.2 miles) - a unique collection of Lake Windermere's nautical heritage in a beautiful and tranquil lakeside setting, including Beatrix Potter's rowing boat and the oldest surviving mechanically propelled boat in the world.
To ensure that someone is available to meet you on arrival, the hotel kindly requests that you ring or email 2-3 days prior to arrival to arrange an arrival time.
Due to increased card charges a charge of 3% to all payments by credit cards (Visa/Mastercard etc) applies. There is no charge for debit cards (Maestro/Switch/Visa Debit/Solo).

A great welcome and a very clean guest house which was well decorated - a great breakfast. The guest house was close to Bowness would stay there again and have already recommended to friends. |

my wife and i had a great relaxing stay at braemount some well deserved time together we will be returning next year the staff were very nice and friendly and the breakfasts were very nice great choice very accommodating cant wait to go back have already recommended it to friends |

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Braemount Guest House for a romantic valentines break and we loved everything about the guest house. Our room was very clean and modern the bed was so comfy and big we wanted to take it home with us! We also loved the shower it was powerful and nice and warm, The english breakfast was lovely and we had a big portion with as much toast as we wanted, there was also other breakfast choices available such as a vegetarian breakfast, bagels, cereal, yogurts and fresh fruit. The staff were very friendly and helpful and explained about the area we were staying in. There were also a great selection of DVD'S avalible to watch in our room. We would highly recommend Braemount Guest House. |

Room was very clean, the owners are very friendly, breakfast was very nice, good location between Windermere and Bowness. Television in the room was pants due to poor signal strength, but didn't detract too much from what was an otherwise pleasurable stay. |

nice and friendly staff/ owners, very accomadating and gave us a nice treat due to double booking the room of our choice, Four Poster room. the room we stayed in, room 2, although nice and clean and modern was very noisy, it was at the front door and people coming and going you couldnt really relax there, or have an afternoon snooze, and forget about havin a sleepin in the morning,,,breakfast time is next to your room, i would recomend this hotel , but not room 2 |

the appliance in the room were excellent apart from the small kettle in room 6! the breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. paul was an excellent host and very approachable. the rooms were lovely, the bathrooms were lovely, a hot bath was definately needed after a day in the snow. the first nigth room 6 was very cold but once the double glazing was put back in place the couple in the room said it warmed up. |

i really liked the nice welcome we had when we got there the service was really good aswell. Everyone was pleasent and was always helpful the room was lovely and really comfortable there is nothing bad i can say about my stay there. i will definitly be going back |

Peace and quiet, comfortable room, corner bath in bedroom was a quirky treat, friendly owner always willing to help. No dvd player in bedroom although stated that there was, video player instead. Breakfast wasn't the best but plenty of selection. |
