They were wonderful hosts, when we arrived we were greeted with coffee and home made brownies......from there on you could see everything had been well thought out and brilliantly executed. Breakfast was delicious especially the blueberry and banana pancakes.......delicious.

Couldn't fault anything.

The staff were both amazing. The room was lovely and decorated lovely. Felt nothing less than welcomed.

That we only stayed the one night! We will definitely be back for longer next time!

Wonderful friendly staff. The breakfasts were amazing. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and were offered tea and coffee with home made Carrot Cake.

Loved the little quirky extras, fresh coffee in room, home made cake on arrival, nice cookies in room. The owner Emma was very friendly and breakfast was lovely!

Although the decoration around was nice our room had slightly dated bath/ toilet facilities and the plumming sounded dodgy. Emma said it was being done out in afew weeks however.

The owners, Emma and Gregor, are lovely. We were greeted with complimentary tea and cake. The rooms provide real coffee with a caffetiere, instead of cheap instant. It's full of character, but with modern convenience. It's walking distance from the station and lake. The food we had was excellent!

Our recent stay with Emma and Gregor at Rum Doodle was absolutely fantastic. Such welcoming hosts, they made us feel at home as soon as we arrived and our whole experience was just perfect, couldn't have asked for more! The Rum Doodle is stunning and we had a gorgeous room. The full breakfast was delicious too! On a city break, Windermere was the ideal place to get some R&R and Emma & Gregor offered great tips on how to spend our time - dining suggestions, walks and lovely areas we may not have known about otherwise. Honestly a 10/10 stay, I would (and will be) recommending a stay at Rum Doodle to anyone that is planning a visit to Windermere. I definitely plan to again in the near future!

A quirky friendly B&B. Nothing too much trouble for the staff/owners who were really friendly. Excellent breakfast n plenty of it. Nice central location between Windermere & Bowness.

Felt welcome from the minute we step foot in the door, offered hot drinks and home cakes. Enjoyed our 2 nights here would definitely recommend and stay here again

Quirky, freindly, lovely breakfast

The staff were really friendly and could not do enough to help, room was very clean and inviting, food excellent and service superb, location just right, between Windermere and Bowness, a short walk to either.

Warm & friendly welcome from Emma & Gregor. Homely feel to the house. Room clean and well furnished. Breakfast was excellent & plenty of it.

Awful weather - very heavy rain & strong winds - as we had the attic suite it meant that we didn't get a goods night sleep, although the bed was very comfortable. Shower head could do with a good clean.

The best B&B I ever been to!

We loved the friendliness of the staff on arrival and throughout our stay. The decoration was very modern and comfortable. We will definitely visit The Rum Doodle again!

Nothing, everything was wonderful!

We spent our second wedding anniversary trip here over the Easter Weekend and are so glad we chose to stay. The B&B lives up to every review and photo and then some! We were greeted with fresh out of the oven Hot Cross Buns and a well needed pot of tea. When we went into our room there was a lovely surprise of mini-eggs and a large Easter Egg filled with lots of goodies from a nearby chocolatier. We spent 2 nights in Room 8 (Burley) and the final night in Room 2 (Jungle) and both were comfortable and beautifully decorated with some gorgeous vintage pieces. Breakfast each day was incredible and the Blueberry Pancakes are highly recommended. Emma & Gregor were amazing hosts and were friendly and helpful. Definitely take on board their restaurant recommendations. You won't be disappointed! The B&B is perfectly located halfway between Bowness and Windermere on a quiet street. We were easily able to walk into both towns within about 15 minutes, so if you don't want to venture too far and want to leave your car behind it is totally possible.
