The Staff were very friendly and the breakfast very good. Location is good, quaint old hotel.
The rooms need a substantial upgrade as they are very tired. There is no logic to the room numbering.
was clean, nice location ,parking close to town lovely !
no lights on in corridor unless u asked to put on could not find room !!!!!
nice views good breakfast
rooms fair to poor bathroom so so. room cleaning late an infrequent expensive for the quality offered
Helpfull, professional, and cheerfully accomadating staff, late night bar, views, terrace, even the doors were quite upon opening and closing. easily accesible- Proximity to center city and surrounds
Too short a stay.
All public areas were lovely - really first class. Breakfasts yummy! The staff were courteous and helpful - apart from Reception staff chatting whilst we were waiting to be acknowledged.
The bedroom was a long trek up many stairs. It needs refurbishing to the standard of the public areas. Beds and pillows were awful.
Reception staff helpful and cheerful. All other staff encountered were equally pleasant particularly the night porter who served us with sandwiches when we arrived back at 1am.
Nothing atall to report here.
No lift Curtains completely ineffective Noisy Dirty
The view, very charming, great place and people, easy access to town
I like traditional haggis at the restaurant. (Tried first time and to be honest I love the dish very much) I like the location, hills, atmosphere, air, and people.
First entering room passed someone who was painting the wall and smell of painting is terrible!
Very attentive service. Kirsty in reception very helpful. Beautiful location easy access to City centre.
Surprisingly no hot water.
Very friendly welcome at the reception desk . Nice room.
Unpersonal breakfast staff.
Handy for bus. Helpful at breakfast providing vegan sausages.
Standard of cleanliness was poor. Room was very tired in decoration with broken lino in bathroom and peeling paint. Bed was too hard. Curtains too thin with streetlight right outside making it too light to sleep. Wedding party went on until 1am with loud disco music.
I like your hotel. When will come to Edinburgh again will def like to stay there......
Everything - we always find Best Western Hotels to be - quality at good price
cannot think of anything in particular
Close enough to the city but far enough to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel.
The hotel is very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Edinburgh. Nice to get away from it all. Also there is parking space for your car, a real good point in Edinburgh.
The food (breakfast) was good. The staff were attentive, pleasant and smart. The location was quiet and convenient for travel (bus) into the city
The genersl ambiance and location were very good. Easy to bus to town or drive to motorways. Food ok. Staff fine.
Breakfast was stretched one day when very busy. Same servings every day. More variety would be good.
location ideal for seeing Edinburgh without using the car, as hotel on bus route. Breakfast very good, bistro good for snacks or meals
Room was a bit small and needs a bit of updating
Staff Friendly & Helpful. Location on out skirts of Edinburgh OK as public transport stops outside the hotel so handy for city centre. Close to the M8 so Glasgow about 40 minutes drive.
Room not ready on arrival, no lift, room a little dated, en-suite needs updating to include shower cubicle. Bed mattress just about acceptable (solid base). Additional car parking spaces would be beneficial.
Excellent food and service
Misleading advert, the room that was shown on the internet was nothing like the room we were given. Room was too small, not even room for a bath.Very disappointing. Spoiled our experience
Great location, great breakfast and friendly staff.
Bathroom very small.
The position (20min of bus to the city centre) and the style of the hotel (classic).
Bed not very good; no lift; room on the 3rd floor, the boards on the floor were seemingly to cave downstairs ...
The staff were excellent The resterauntand food were terrific the rooms were clean and comfortable.
The bathrooms had old flooring that looked dirty. No matter how good the cleaningstaff were this let the hotel and staff down badly I would stay there again. It's such a small thing please sort it out .
Great location, bus stop close to get into Edinburgh. Friendly staff, good bar service.
Very small bathroom!
