The landscape are beauty
The distance to the center of the city is so long, then I believe that is inconvenient for the people.
Close to the center, had good facilities, and it was extremely tidy. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the dinner was great. I would recommend.
The staff were friendly and happy to help. The public areas well well kept and comfortable. The breakfast was fine. It was easy to get into and out of the centre of Edinburgh as the bus stops are outside the hotel.
The room was disappointing and in need of updating. The bathroom was shabby with the wallpaper peeling and mould on the walls. The flooring looked dirty. There was a constant hum during the night from a generator(?) which meant a poor sleep.
Location - peaceful and quiet at night
Mattress and pillows were uncomfortable Evening service in the restaurant was slow
The hotel itself was beautiful.
The beds were very firm which my husband loved but i found too hard. Its a good bus journey from edinburgh centre but well worth staying a little bit further out for the views!
good size room
Very expensive Tiny double bed outdated decor grubby shower curtain terrible workmanship on the seal around the shower
everything done by staff to make our stay enjoyable
Everything except distance from city.
20 minutes drive to city center but bus access outside on main road.
No Lift Nice Balcony Love the bar/restaurant/lobby Lots of Character Great staff
Easy to find On a bus route to the centre Helpful staff
Decor was a bit old fashioned and the shower room was a bit tight with a noisy extractor fan.
From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic. All staff were extremely helpful. The hotel made us feel very welcomed and we would definately return.
Location, parking, excellent wi fi and the staff. The room was modern and met our needs. Meal the first night was excellent.Buses stopped outside if you want to visit the city ( Don't take the car)and close to the ring road if you want to travel elsewhere.
Woke up 5 a.m. 1st morning by delivery vehicle and the meal the second night was poor. However, the management did apologies on both occasions and made amends.
Food was good; staff was very accommodating. Bar was cozy.
Hotel was old, un-air conditioned; in need of renovating; too expensive for such an out-dated property. Very unappealing look.
Not right in the centre, but with its own bus stop (twenty metres from the hotel) and buses running every 15 minutes. Very kind staff; they stored our suitcase while we were on a tour (although we were no longer their guests).
This hotel is in an excellent location easily accessible and on a good bus route into Edinburgh. The staff are very helpful and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The customer service
view from hotel room, bar,
rooms, especially bathroom, definitely need refurbishment
The Staff were very friendly and the breakfast very good. Location is good, quaint old hotel.
The rooms need a substantial upgrade as they are very tired. There is no logic to the room numbering.
Room was mouldy. Bed tiny. No manager on duty at all.
was clean, nice location ,parking close to town lovely !
no lights on in corridor unless u asked to put on could not find room !!!!!
nice views good breakfast
rooms fair to poor bathroom so so. room cleaning late an infrequent expensive for the quality offered
Helpfull, professional, and cheerfully accomadating staff, late night bar, views, terrace, even the doors were quite upon opening and closing. easily accesible- Proximity to center city and surrounds
Too short a stay.
All public areas were lovely - really first class. Breakfasts yummy! The staff were courteous and helpful - apart from Reception staff chatting whilst we were waiting to be acknowledged.
The bedroom was a long trek up many stairs. It needs refurbishing to the standard of the public areas. Beds and pillows were awful.
like the location
Charge me 40 pounds for lunch extra for wrong, cause we didn't take breakfast and promiss to payback . i m waiting for the promiss promise .
Reception staff helpful and cheerful. All other staff encountered were equally pleasant particularly the night porter who served us with sandwiches when we arrived back at 1am.
Nothing atall to report here.
