The location is 20 minutes out of central Edinburgh by bus. The shower pressure was rather lacking.

I loved that the wi-fi was free. It had a good breakfast buffet and the bistro restaurant on the property was good and reasonably priced. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was wonderful and helpful. It was also very easy to get to Edinburgh as the bus stop was right at the foot of the hotel. If you rent a car it had easy access to the roads and airport. If you're not renting a car the cab drive was about 25 euros or you can take the cheaper airport bus to Edinburgh city centre and then hop on the 11 or 15 bus to the hotel.

No elevators, too many stairs to climb if at the back of the hotel on the third floor.

-Close proximity to Edinburgh with bus stop outside hotel. -Gluten free menu in restaurant and really good food and service- special commendation to our waiter Rocky and the chef-outstanding effort all round!! (We had three meals there in addition to Breakfast) -Huge room with great outlook and comfortable bed -Great room service, room well maintained -Free internet worked well!! -Friendly polite staff -The breakfast every morning was top notch -Free parking outside the door

-No fridge in the room which is a problem when storing medication or wanting fresh milk with tea and coffee -Shower over bath with a curtain that sticks to you, probably not a problem for small people but definitely a bit cramped for big guys, only a small issue!

No lift makes it a bit of a trek to the top floor. Having stayed here on a couple of occasions recently, I was looking forward to breakfast but it was a real disappointment this time - black pudding and haggis dried out under the heat lamps, half-cooked sausages, cold fried eggs. Bring back the other chef!

The room was larger than expected with a view over the park. It was clean and warm. Of the meals taken in the evening one in the dining room was excellent, one in the bistro was very good but one, Chicken Maryland was over-cooked and tasteless. We did mention this to a member of staff. It will not discourage me from staying again .
