The house is set in a wonderful location with plenty of walks starting from the doorstep. Vicky gave us a very warm and friendly welcome more than matched by the quality of breakfast. Internally Braithwaite Hall is a "little gem" with wood panelling, stone flag floors and immense fireplaces.

The shower cubicle could be a bit larger.

the building had a lovely ambience. furnishings were totally suitable for the age of the house. beds were extremely comfortable. breakfast choice was huge and the food was extremely tasty especially the home made bread, preserves. good advice from the owner for a dinner venue. good conversation with the owner during our stay. helpful with my elderly relative.

the private bathroom being separate although I was aware of it before booking.

Everything... the four poster room was huge I felt like I was in a costume drama. Vicky the hostess was just so lovely she couldn't do enough for you & so jolly aswell ( lovely lady) the breakfast was delicious & on the second day she made me eggs benedict with mushrooms been a vegetarian but the full english for the hubby which he said was equally delicious. Peaceful & quiet place we was actually watching weasles playing on the front lawn it was absolutly bliss. We will definatly be visiting again in the very near future.

Nothing having to pack up & come home to reality boo!

We absolutely loved our stay at Braithwaite Hall. The comfort, the luxury, the little details (damson brandy!), the food which was first class, and above all the kindness and friendliness of our welcome. We definitely want to make a return visit!

There was nothing whatsoever to criticise about our visit.

Location. Deep in the Dales. Good space, comfortable chairs in bedroom + residents lounge. WiFi free. Warm welcome.

Access roads very very narrow with few passing places.

Almost everything, but above all the welcome and hospitality. Only a short stay but memorable and worth a longer one as this is just the sort of B and B we enjoy the most.

    Nothing of note

Braithwaite hall is a beautiful, quiet place to stay in the most picturesque countryside. We received a warm welcome from our hosts and even a lift back from the blue lion after dinner. We will definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

Very welcoming hosts. Fabulous room with four poster bed, modern en suite, some nice touches like homemade damson brandy! Very good breakfast selection. Beautiful house in a fantastic setting.

Not so easy to find, a little out of the way. Had to eat out at night, so had to drive.

We had a great welcome with some homemade damson vodka and the place was excellent. Vickie was so good a hostess and provided a warm welcome and hospitality that would be hard to find.

The rain which no one can do anything about and the fact we had to leave. We will be back!

The location was perfect , the house itself was very grand and the breakfast excellent , deserving it's award. Very quiet and the drawing room was perfect for a glass of wine in the evening.

No TV signal in our room but that was a bonus to be fair as the peace and quiet was very relaxing.
