We loved it. Beautiful location.Lovely large room, snug and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. Heartwarming breakfast. Beautiful places to visit on the doorstep. A really central location. The real gem was Paddy, a very lovely Lady. x Advise all to stay in a truly beautiful, historic House. Bernadette & Gavin Gilchrist.
Since using Booking.com. Have received so many unwanted E mails from all and sundry.?
Lovely big bed. Two chairs to sit down although you had to move them to see the TV. Plenty of teas, coffee, milk, etc. The room was comfortably warm and we were asked if we wanted the heating on at night. Breakfast was good.
The wifi signal in our room was non-existent so had to go to the breakfast room to use the computer.
Homely atmosphere ,lovely room with large comfy bed , good choice of breakfast menu
Heating went off about midnight and did not come back on until 7 am. Very cold room. Unfortunately the offer of an extra blanket just won't cut it when you have arthritis.Condensation so bad in room pools of water on window sill. We should have stuck to what we know and went for a 4 or 5 star hotel
Lovely large room with big comfortable bed. Hot water. Bath. Very clean. Across the road from a pub chain serving evening meals.
Everything Paddy is just so easy going nothing any trouble . Great cottage comfy bed place spotless . Thanks Paddy
Outstanding room. Very friendly reception.
Paddy was very welcoming & hospitable , the room was Beautiful & the Breakfast was wonderful
Paddy the owner was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble.room was clean and comfortable and a nice spot to chill out. There is a pub across the road if you like pub chain food or a place a few miles away called the plough which paddy recomended but our fav was the Crown pub just down the road where we had a lovley meal and a few pints, very quirky place, check it out
Paddy was a most thoughtful and kind hostess and her prime objective was to make our trip successful. She gave us an excellent breakfast and had thought of everything to make us feel welcome.
Friendliness of hostess and delicious breakfasts. Comfortable room with care taken to provide added extras which were checked daily.
Wi-fi unavailable in room. Only available in dining room.
Just about everything!

Comfortable Relaxing Informative host Great breakfast
As fully booked we only had the opportunity for a room without an en suite. Not a big deal though.
Warm welcome and first class facilities, excellent breakfast and a most interesting host in Patricia. She advised us on appropriate eating venues for the evenings and all were great. WILL be going back when next in Derbyshire.
This is a lovely country cottage b&b offering very good value. We stayed for one night in the "Bramble" - a large room with a huge, very comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bramble Cottage to others.
We have stayed in various hotels but nothing came close to our stay at Bramble Cottage. Paddy is a wonderful & welcoming host, our room was lovely with really comfortable big beds & the breakfast was gorgeous. The only thing I regretted was not booking for longer, we will definitely be back, thank you Paddy
Paddy the owner was an excellent host whom was extremely welcoming and had a good sense of humour. The breakfast was excellent including the black pudding. The Bramble jam was a feature as well.
I reckon it was all good. Could go on about really small individual items I might prefer but that is totally personal preference.
Everything this is a lovely place to stay the host gave us a warm and friendly welcome and made us feel at home . There isn't really anything you wouldn't like about this place it's very clean and the breakfast was excellent wish we had stayed longer.
Hostess Paddy is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Cares that her clients are comfortable and enjoying their stay. Her full english breakfasts taste wonderful.
Lovely breakfasts, friendly host, lovely room, clean and comfortable. Just what we needed. Nice pub restaurant next door 'the Greyhound' even nicer restaurant down the road 'the Plough'
Wi fi was supposed to be in the room but was a bit hit and miss, but was not a Big deal !
We had a lovely friendly welcome, even had the owner come down to the carpark with an umberella for us as it was throwing it down. We we told about several places to eat, 1st night ate in The Greyhound right next door. We will be back.
the owner Paddy was very welcoming and the room was loveley and clean.
We loved the huge bedroom and huge, very comfy bed.
