Loved the bed, we slept so well. The coffee at breakfast was amazing. Paddy done everything she could to make you welcome.
Everything about the place is absolutely perfect. My stay was wonderful. I was made to feel so incredibly welcome & the staff were brilliant. Bramble Cottage has such an incredibly relaxing feel about it. It's a very special place. After spending 6 nights there, I felt so comfortable that I didn't want to leave. Superb! Brilliant! Special! Perfect! Wonderful & highly recommended!
There was nothing to fault about the place it was perfect!
The location was perfect for visiting, Chesterfield, Bakewell and Matlock. Bed was huge and comfortable, shower was easy to operate. Fresh milk provided in rooms, rather than those horrible little cartons of milk. Breakfast was outstanding and all local produce "and you could tell within the taste." Paddy was attentive and very chatty and funny "great sense of humour." Would certainly stay again and highly recommend this glorious cottage.
To be honest, I could not find fault with this Cottage. So for all those that wish to stay ENJOY.........
Amazing place to stay, if you're looking for somewhere beautiful this is the place with an amazing breakfast.
We stayed in the Bramble room of this lovely cottage. Paddy was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The Bramble room was such a comforting space to come back to after adventuring in the Peak Distruct during the day. The ensuite bathroom was clean and contained a set of high quality toiletries, which where needed as I forget to bring any, as per usual! All in all we had a really relaxing time and I would certainly recommend staying at Bramble Cottage.
Friendly and welcoming
Paddy was lovely,
Parking on pub car park, room was freezing. Tv dated, house was damp smelling.
Beautiful room, spotless and all ours needs catered for. Paddy was so very helpful and her attention to detail outstanding. She went above and beyond her role as hostess for our stay - a perfect weekend retreat.
Paddy was very welcoming and ensured that all our needs were met. She recommended great places to eat - i.e the Plough. Comfortable room and great breakfast. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
We loved it. Beautiful location.Lovely large room, snug and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. Heartwarming breakfast. Beautiful places to visit on the doorstep. A really central location. The real gem was Paddy, a very lovely Lady. x Advise all to stay in a truly beautiful, historic House. Bernadette & Gavin Gilchrist.
Since using Booking.com. Have received so many unwanted E mails from all and sundry.?
Lovely big bed. Two chairs to sit down although you had to move them to see the TV. Plenty of teas, coffee, milk, etc. The room was comfortably warm and we were asked if we wanted the heating on at night. Breakfast was good.
The wifi signal in our room was non-existent so had to go to the breakfast room to use the computer.
Homely atmosphere ,lovely room with large comfy bed , good choice of breakfast menu
Heating went off about midnight and did not come back on until 7 am. Very cold room. Unfortunately the offer of an extra blanket just won't cut it when you have arthritis.Condensation so bad in room pools of water on window sill. We should have stuck to what we know and went for a 4 or 5 star hotel
Lovely large room with big comfortable bed. Hot water. Bath. Very clean. Across the road from a pub chain serving evening meals.
Everything Paddy is just so easy going nothing any trouble . Great cottage comfy bed place spotless . Thanks Paddy
Outstanding room. Very friendly reception.
Paddy was very welcoming & hospitable , the room was Beautiful & the Breakfast was wonderful
Paddy the owner was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble.room was clean and comfortable and a nice spot to chill out. There is a pub across the road if you like pub chain food or a place a few miles away called the plough which paddy recomended but our fav was the Crown pub just down the road where we had a lovley meal and a few pints, very quirky place, check it out
Paddy was a most thoughtful and kind hostess and her prime objective was to make our trip successful. She gave us an excellent breakfast and had thought of everything to make us feel welcome.
Friendliness of hostess and delicious breakfasts. Comfortable room with care taken to provide added extras which were checked daily.
Wi-fi unavailable in room. Only available in dining room.
Just about everything!

Comfortable Relaxing Informative host Great breakfast
As fully booked we only had the opportunity for a room without an en suite. Not a big deal though.
Warm welcome and first class facilities, excellent breakfast and a most interesting host in Patricia. She advised us on appropriate eating venues for the evenings and all were great. WILL be going back when next in Derbyshire.
This is a lovely country cottage b&b offering very good value. We stayed for one night in the "Bramble" - a large room with a huge, very comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bramble Cottage to others.
We have stayed in various hotels but nothing came close to our stay at Bramble Cottage. Paddy is a wonderful & welcoming host, our room was lovely with really comfortable big beds & the breakfast was gorgeous. The only thing I regretted was not booking for longer, we will definitely be back, thank you Paddy
